This is a two bedroom, Raised Ground Floor apartment in central London in a white stucco-fronted period property with car parking and is furnished to a luxurious standard with full bedding for either an extended weekend break, a week-long stay, or on an ongoing monthly basis.

The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 adults. The property benefits include: dark wood flooring, two double bedrooms, bathroom with enclosed power shower. The flat is fitted with a kitchen with most modern amenities including a washer/dryer, dishwasher, central heating and electronically secure entry system. The lounge has a wall mounted TV with a dining area. The apartment is a short 10 min walk to the exquisite green space of Victoria Park with its deer park and lake. The apartment is 2 min walk from 24hr supermarket and is 30 seconds walk to the closest underground station. Internet access is available via WiFi.if requested at the booking stage.

Directions from Airports: From Heathrow Airport: Take Heathrow Express to Paddington National Rail Station. Walk to Lancastergate Underground Station (just by Hyde Park - takes 3-5 minute walk) and take the central line (red line) and Change at Mile-End Station (takes 15 - 20 minutes) onto the District Line Eastbound and get-off at Bow Road Station (1 stop ). Alternatively, take the Underground Service from Heathrow (Picadilly (Blue) Line) and Change at Holborn Underground Station for the Central (Red) Line and Change at Mile-End Station (takes 7 - 10 minutes) onto the District Line Eastbound and get-off at Bow Road Station (1 stop ). The apartment is a 30 second walk from the underground station. From City Airport Go to London City Airport DLR Station and take the Docklands Light Railway towards towards Stratford. Get off at Bow Church Station (10 tube stops - about 15 min). The apartment is a 30 second walk from the underground station.

Directions from Airports Cont..: From Stansted Airport Take the Stanstead Express Rail Train to London Liverpool Street. This should take approximately 55 minutes. At Liverpool Street Station, Change to the Central (Red) Line Underground Station heading Eastbound and Change at Mile-End Station (2 stops - 3-5 minutes) onto the District Line Eastbound and get-off at Bow Road Station (1 stop - 2 min). The apartment is a 30 second walk to the tube station.

From Gatwick Airport Take the Gatwick Express Rail Train to London Victoria (Takes about 30 minutes). Change at London Victoria to the Underground Station and get on the Victoria Line (Blue Line) North Bound and change at Oxford Street Underground Station for the Central Line (Red Line) East Bound. It should take about 10 - 15 minutes ( about 9 Station Stops) to get to Mile-End Station. Change at Mile-End Station onto the District Line Eastbound and get-off at Bow Road Station (1 stop - 2 min).The apartment is a 30 second walk to the tube station.

Good location and reasonably priced

The Bow apartment is conveniently located a few steps from the "Bow Rd" tube station, which makes travel easy (it isn't far from any of the sights, so don't worry about that). However, being that close to the station provides you with plenty of noise in the living area. The bedrooms also face the street and there is tons of car noise. That being said, we weren't there that often and after a very full day of sightseeing it won't keep you from sleeping (your too exhausted). The apartment is big enough, although quite small on american standards (compare London to New York city and this place is comparable). It was all we needed! The neighborhood was safe (we traveled with our 7 and 8 year old, so this was important for us) and you could walk to the convenience store. My only real complaint was with the washer/dryer. It washed just fine, but don't be fooled into thinking that it dries, because it never dried anything! I tried many different sized loads, times, etc and not once did it dry!! This made leaving the sheets and towels washed difficult, but I managed. My other complaint is that it doesn't have any toiletries, which means you must go to the store right away for soap, toilet paper, dish detergent, laundry detergent, etc. My suggestion to Babs is to offer a starter pack for those staying a short time (one week or less) at a nominal charge. It would have added to the stay. All money and deposits were easily handled and returned. Overall it was suitable, clean and nicely located. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget that wants a clean and safe place to stay.

Great week in a nice little London Flat

Just spent a week with our two young daughters in this flat. Great location a min walk from the Bow Road underground station with a supermarket close by. Although small it had all we needed and the check in from Babs was a real highlight!

Fab Time

We had an absolutely fabulous time here. We stayed in the apartment for three nights and couldn’t have asked for more. The amenities were great, the location very convenient off the District line to London. All in all, a fabulous time was had by all. Great Location for London Break

We stayed here with our 2 teenage children. Accommodation was on the button! Best feature was the location, tube on the door step, also a stop on the tube to a gorgeous shopping centre near at the Olympic park. We will come again that’s for sure!

More than expected

We definitely enjoyed our stay in a conveniently located apartment while we were visiting London from Australia. Babs very thoughtful, friendly and helpful and was great to deal with. Everything that we needed was provided including wifi, DVDs, all kitchen utensils, dishwasher, etc. and we really appreciated this. Access to tube, bus, supermarket and restaurants were great.

Our deposit was refunded very promptly after our departure. We would definitely stay again should we be in London and would recommend it to family and friends. Thank you Babs

Our second time

We really enjoyed our second stay here. Babs met us at the apartment and was very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect, everything we needed was close by.Nicely furnished with two double beds. Just steps to Tesco’s and some very nice restaurants a stop away at Westfields. The Tube and DLR at the door step. It was easy to get to all the main tourist sites in London. We enjoyed coming back to the apartment after a busy day jostling with tour groups at the main tourist sites. I’m sure we will be back again.

Bow is said to be named from the bridge that spanned the River Lea in this neighbourhood, and which was built under the direction of Matilda, wife of Henry. It was called Bow, because the bridge was arched like unto a bow, a rare piece of work, for before that time the like had never been seen in England.

Bow is now primarily a residential area for the City Professional and boast an amazing Park (Victoria Park) with has its own lake and Deer park in the centre. Bow also has an amazing network of water-way canals with interesting pubs and walk-ways. Bow is famous for its historic Bow Bells of London immortalized in legendary English Poems of olde.
