Our direct ocean front condo sits 30' behind the Kona Bali Kai seawall. You can't get any closer to the sea without getting wet.

If you want DIRECT Ocean Front, next to the most popular Island surf break in a TOTALLY remodeled unit at a great price point look no further.

The 2BR/BA unit just completed an $80,000 wall to wall full remodel. We welcomed our first client in late Dec., 2013. The new 5 star interior is unbeatable with custom Cherry cabinetry, solid granite counters, new windows, new patterned tiled floors, new stainless steel appliances and new, comfortable beds.

Total square footage including lanai is about 1,000'. You will notice different sizes quoted in KBK adds. To my knowledge all 2BR ocean front units are the same size? Interiors are about 806 square feet + the 200 square feet lanai.

Enjoy our full width lanai with new top of the line Pella double glass, low e, Fiberglass sliders adjoining the master bedroom and Greatroom. If the surf noise at night is to loud just use the doors to control the sound level.

Entertainment center includes 39' Samsung TV with cable box to receive Hi Def Programming, DVD movie player, Small RCA stereo w/remote and Router for free Wifi.

Each major room has a quality Casablanca All Weather Ceiling Fan to keep you cool along with a new, 12,000 BTU A/C in the Greatroom for those rare late summer sticky days. Most Ocean Front units @ Kona Bali Kai

do not provide AC (its rarely needed!).

We provide free long distance calls to the US and Canada Mainland.

The famous (site of frequent competitions) Banyan Surf Break is just offshore from our unit so you'll enjoy watching the surfers in between checking out the frequent turtle (Honu) visitor in the natural lava pond directly in front of the lanai.

Our unit is on the convenient 2nd building level with quick access to free ground level parking, courtyard pool and no steps to apartment if you prefer to use the elevator. Just a narrow strip of lawn separates you from the ocean. The natural rock pool in front forces the waves to break out from shore further, reducing the surf noise level, a plus.

Custom shoji type silhouette sliding glass panels (Unique to Kona Bali Kai) separate the Greatroom from the MBR.

The coastline in front of Kona Bali Kai has accessible tide pools and sandy areas - perfect for poking around on a lazy afternoon. Free Oceanfront propane fired outdoor Barbeques with adjacent picnic tables are available for guests.

White Sands County Park is 1 mile south, Kahaluu snorkeling beach/bay is 2 miles south and there is a great small hidden beach a short walk away I'll tell you about in my client letter.

We live nearby (1 mile south) at an ocean view condo which we managed as a vacation rental for 10 years before retiring and moving to Kona. We understand how important our guests vacation time is and do our utmost to provide a positive experience.

We provide a detailed, exclusive 16 page guest letter to our clients listing our favorite guide book and information on a host of our favorite beaches, day hikes and snorkel spots to help you with your vacation planning. We also provide tips on how to save airfare & car rental expenses.

There is a Concierge available in the Kona Bali Kai lobby to help you with Commercial excursions like luau's, etc.

Sharon is a part time commercial artist specializing in tropical flower water colors. You will enjoy several examples of her paintings in the condo. She needs to pull out her brushes again to complete additional pictures for the new digs.

Master Bedroom has a full size king bed with nightstands and chest of drawers; 2nd BR has a queen bed with nightstands, dresser and large LCD TV.

This is our 2nd Kona Bali Kai Direct Ocean Front Rental. See VRBO listing 329786 for details and pictures of our sister unit a few doors away that sits directly in front of the Banyan's surf break. Both units are currently listed on VRBO but only 219 is listed on Home Away.

Note: Unit 219 matches unit 305's layout except the layouts are reversed.

About Lynn Noffsinger

Lynn Noffsinger (retired Intel Engineer) and Sharon Noffsinger (retired Educator) were able to achieve a long term goal by moving to Hawaii in early 2009. Our nearby residence (1 mile south from Kona Bali Kai) was a successful VRBO vacation rental for 10 years from 1999 to 2009. We understand the importance of our clients vacation time and make every effort to provide an outstanding value. Many of our former clients were repeat visitors or friends and family of previous clients.

Except when off island we accomplish all turnovers ourselves to insure the condo is perfect for your arrival.

This is our 2nd purchased ocean front unit @ Kona Bali Kai. Lynn set up a special IRA fund which allowed him to purchase this unit directly and market under the name of Konanoff LLC but after all the legalese its just Lynn and Sharon's 2nd great unit.

Direct, fully refurbished (after being stripped to block walls) oceanfront next to a world class surfbreak with the best climate in the world. What else can we say other than how do you spell Pina Colada??

What makes this condo unique

First you need to make the impossible choice of enjoying the lanai view or hop in the rental car and go exploring.

For lunch why not utilize the ocean front barbeques or check out the small 'POKI Shack' lunch spot just down the steps next to the lobby for some island 'soul' food and a brewski?? Poki is the island version of Ahi (Tuna) sushi.

Across the street is a convenience store for those forgotten condiments, drinks and snacks.

A concierge is available in the lobby to help you plan excursions and local events.

Free island and local ($2/trip/person on Keauhou Trolley) bus service is available in front of the building.

Too many options, not enough time - recommend enjoying the lanai view, watching the surfers wipe out and say hello to the Turtles while you think about it.

There is a small, secluded sand beach a short walk away I'll tell you about it in my Guest letter.

The best vacation rental EVER!

My wife and I had a spectacular time staying in this condo. It is literally the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in! We had the great fortune of having lunch with the owners and they were very friendly and helpful answering questions about the island. If you can book this condo than BOOK IT! Otherwise it WILL be booked tomorrow. Not kidding. BOOK THIS CONDO!

Three Weeks in Paradise!!

Lynn and Sharon, thank you for the three glorious weeks we had at your condo. The condo is everything you advertised it to be on vrbo.com, and you have done a great job of the renovations.

Lynn, thank you for making it easy to book, and for answering all my e-mails quickly. The information you supply is very useful and much appreciated.

Sharon, your artwork is lovely, and really adds to the atmosphere in the condo.

We sat on the lanai and saw whales, dolphins, turtles as well as the most beautiful waves! The sound of the waves at night is so soothing, and it's so great to be able to leave the doors open to catch the ocean breezes.

Hawaii, Kona Coast, Kona Bali Kai and this condo....what an amazing combination of beautiful sights, adventures, relaxation! The Big Island is very diverse, and there is so much to see and do. I could go on and on, but you get the idea!!

Wonderful stay at KBK 219

We love Kona Bali Kai (KBK) and try to come every couple years. Sharon & Lynn have 2 units at KBK and both are in great shape. We were able to see whales and a lot of turtles from the Lanai.

Lynn provides a detailed welcome letter and we decided to check out the beaches that were in the welcome letter. They all turned out to be some of the best hidden gems we have ever found in Kona.

Lynn also has a very fast internet connection in the unit and if you use Netflix they have a Blue-Ray player with the Netflix app enabled on it.

It was definitely tough to leave KBK and come back to Bay Area traffic.

We will definitely be back.

Great Location and Beautiful View

We had a WONDERFUL time and really enjoyed our stay at this condo. First off, the location is terrific. You're right on Ali'i Drive, but just far enough from downtown to be out of heavy noise and traffic. You're only a few minutes drive from Kahalu'u, grocery store, restaurants, downtown, farmers market, etc. Right out front (literally 50 feet) is Da Poke Shack for delicious convenient meals (they sell beer, too). Go for the kimchee mussels!

The unit: beautfiul! It has a great layout and plenty of room for everyone. There are two bathrooms, one is located in the master, so essentially, each room has its own bathroom. The lanai is awesome. We enjoyed morning coffee watching dolphins, whales, and turtles. And the sunsets are unbelievable! There's a brand new washer and dryer and the kitchen has been recently remodeled. It's really nice!

The complex itself is great and surprisingly mellow. You can't hear neighbors, traffic--anything at all besides waves crashing on the reef. Parking was easy and there's an elevator for those who can't do stairs. It's a great base for adventures around the island. We didn't take advantage of the BBQs on the waterfront, but we would have had plenty of opportunities to do so. They weren't packed or in use constantly.

We stayed there for 9 days and would do it again. Highly recommended! The owners, Lynn and Sharon, are really nice and easy to deal with. Great condo, especially for the price!

Everything Hawaii has to Offer!!!

We arrived well after dark and were welcomed by the sound of crashing waves off the lanai. Imagine our surprise at sunrise!!! The view is absolutely beautiful!!! We watched porpoise, spinner dolphins, sea turtles and even reef fish from the lanai. Throw in some kona coffee and you have the epitome of a real vacation. We spent 12 days on the Big Island and used this location as a home base. The owner Lynn pays close attention to detail. The unit was in excellent condition and it worked well for two couples. The outdoor grill was wonderful as well. Lynn provides a very helpful list of information from car rentals to must see areas. The current rate is extremely reasonable for what you get. This was our best VRBO to date. We can't wait to return!!!

WOW!

I don't even know where to start. Sitting out on our lanai about 20 feet from the Pacific Ocean watching the sea turtles. Do I need to say more? Yes I do. The owners of this condo, Lynn & Sharon who I had the pleasure of meeting are great people. They live a mile away from the condo and make sure that it is perfect when you arrive. The pictures that they have listed are spot on. The upgrades in this unit are second to none. Multiple ceiling fans, air condition, gourmet granite kitchen and bathrooms, brand-new washer and dryer, comfortable furniture (with sofa bed), convenient parking right under unit.

My wife and I came with our 13-year-old daughter and 17-year-old son. We all had plenty of space (unlike the hotel room we had to deal with in Honolulu.) We came back to Kona after missing the big Island for 12 years. Staying in Lynn and Sharon's condo was a great decision. So to summarize, probably the BEST 2 BEDROOM CONDO IN KONA.
