The townhome itself is just steps from Venice main beach. One hundred and forty two to be exact. Venice Townhouse Condominiums is a small enclave of homes just east of the main beach. In fact, the complex is the closest set of private residences to the beach on Venice Avenue which is the town's premier boulevard. These townhomes rarely rent so your neighbors are all long time Venice natives.
The home itself is 1250 square feet of tastefully finished decor and charming ambiance. The main level offers a well equipped galley kitchen and separate dining. Step down into a spacious family area with a 50' flat screen TV and premium sound system. Polished Terrazo Marble floors and strategically placed weaves add a Florida feel. Enjoy that first cup of coffee in the morning on the front paver patio which overlooks a beautiful boulevard green space or simply sip and stroll to the beach before the crowds. Late afternoon relax on the privacy of the back paver patio, barbeque or plan the evening. There is also an enclosed Lanai off the main level that is chock full of beach necessities like towels, chairs, umbrella etc...
Venture upstairs and you will find two lovely bedrooms, a beautifully updated bath and a laundry center. For larger laundry loads feel very welcome to use the common area laundry center directly behind your unit. The Master bedroom overlooks the very green and palm treed back common area and the guest bedroom overlooks the front boulevard green space.
If you did not know, Venice is one of the most charming beach towns in Southwest Florida. Venice was built in the 1920's in the renaissaince style of the famous Italian city for which it is named. Many of the original Spanish Revival homes still stand perfectly maintained in all their glory along the palm,oak and banyan tree lined Venice Avenue. It is on this very by-way you will stroll from your townhome to reach downtown which is a five minute walk. Venice of course is known for it's fabulous downtown area and variety of recreational activities. There are four distinct beach types each with it's own vibe. Caspersen for privacy and laid back approach, Jetty beach area for fishing, kite surfing and boat watching, Sharkey's fishing pier for the resturant, nightly entertainment, fishing and beach fun and Venice main beach for people watching, morning yoga, evening music, sunsets and of course more beach fun. Shops ,resturants, library, theater, saturday farmers market, tennis, basketball and miles of paved trails for bike, jog or stroll are all walkable. Crave a little bigger version of activity and night life ? World famous Sarasota is 20 miles north and worth the visit day or night.
My wife and I have been part or full time Venice residents since 2008. We now call Venice home. We are retired corporate executives with varied interests. Our careers have allowed us to live in many fabulous areas from Arizona to Colorado to the New York City area and many places in beween. We count Venice as one of our favorites.
Although we own two other properties in Venice when the opportunity came to purchase our Venice Townhouse by the beach we jumped at it. The location can't be beat. You are so close to sand and sea you can feel, taste and smell it. Walk or bike everywhere !!!!
The 12 townhouse complex is unique because it is literally a stones throw from Venice main beach and almost all of the owners reside full time or in season. This stability provides for one of the most friendly atmospheres you will find. The downtown stroll is little more than one song on your ipod. It simply doesn't get any better !!
