COZY PET FRIENDLY WEST ASHEVILLE BUNGALOW

Asheville House Rental Photos and Description

A newly constructed green built home in West Asheville with a fenced-in back yard. It is quiet, it has off-street parking, and two of the most comfortable beds you will ever experience.

This little house is a newly constructed green built home in West Asheville with a fenced-in back yard. It is quiet, it has off-street parking, and two of the most comfortable beds you will ever experience. The open floor plan and vaulted ceiling gives you plenty of room to relax and unwind. Hardwood floors and a grassy fenced back yard make this the perfect place for your pets to come and share Asheville with you. Furnishings are amazing and super comfortable.

The neighborhood is quiet and within a short walk to Carrier Park, which features miles of walking trails, playgrounds for the kids, picnic tables, lawn bowling, the MellowDrome (a repurposed auto race track), a roller blade hockey rink, and of course the awesome French Broad River. Our favorite park in Asheville and largely undiscovered and underutilized.

The neighborhood is one of the most popular in Asheville. It was established in the 1920s and 30s, and has undergone a period of decline and rebirth. Many of the homes have been rebuilt and others have been torn down to make way for new ones. This one was stripped down to the floor joists and totally rebuilt using all new materials and green building techniques.

The back yard and side yard are fenced, so dogs will have a great place to play. The kitchen door opens out to the yard, so managing your dogs is easy. We do our best to make our properties as pet friendly as possible.

Michigan Avenue is narrow and many of the residents park on the street. There is room in the driveway to park two cars but please be aware that the driveway is on a fairly steep incline. If you have one car, you will pull up to the top and park on a fairly level spot. But if you have two cars, your second one will be on the slope so be aware. If you are uncomfortable with this prospect this may not be the best fit for you!

We hope you enjoy this home as much as we did when we were getting it ready. It was a lot of fun and we were reluctant to leave. We will be there any time there is a vacancy because we love the easy access to the park!

I am a real estate investor and real estate agent in the Asheville area. Our team loves creating spaces where people can feel at home while they are enjoying their vacation.

Pete Kuehne purchased this house in 2007

This is our first investment home in Asheville. It caught my eye because the neighborhood was in the process of being rebuilt, and it was a perfect example of how green building can revitalize an area. When we bought it, many of the other homes had just been remodeled and others were in the process. That momentum has continued over the years and now my we are surrounded by other newly renovated homes. We love this home just as much as we did when we bought it, and we love the neighborhood more and more as time passes.

West Asheville is the perfect home base for exploring the area. Many visitors find so much to do in West Asheville that they spend most of their time here. This home is close to everything. It is in such a quiet neighborhood. The people here are friendly and you are likely to make a new friend or two during your visit!

Great Christmas getaway

My husband and I were looking for a nice, comfortable place to spend a few days in Asheville over the Christmas holiday that was also dog friendly. This was the first time we've used VRBO, and we will definitely be using it again because we had such a positive experience staying at this cute bungalow in West Asheville.

The location is great; it's near some delicious restaurants. Sunny Point Cafe and Biscuit Head are GREAT breakfast spots! Carrier Park is walking distance from the house and it provides nice walking/running paths which are great for active people and folks with dogs.

The neighborhood where the house is located is eclectic with a mix of older and remodeled homes. For people who prefer are more homogenous neighborhood, this may not be your cup of tea. Personally, we love a neighborhood with character and accessibility to outdoor activities and this home definitely has both of those things.

The fenced in back yard is great for people traveling with dogs. Unfortunately, previous guests must not have cleaned up after their pets because there were quite a few "landmines" in the backyard. Additionally, there weren't any extra garbage bags in the house, so we had to go purchase more. This wasn't a major inconvenience by any means, but it was surprising since the house had just about everything else. I say "just" because while there are plates, pots, and utensils there were not any bowls. I had to improvise for my morning cereal.

Overall, we really loved our stay here and would definitely recommend this home away from home to anyone traveling to Asheville!

The property was even better than the photos. The house was very clean, we loved the kitchen! It was easy to hop on the interstate to get to all the destinations we planned on seeing in Asheville. The owner gave us a few restaurant suggestions, all were great. This is in an older district but very quaint and close to so much. Weather was rainy, but staying in one evening was great. Our cocker spaniel Lady Bug certainly appreciated the fenced in backyard!

Weekend Getaway

My girlfriends and I came to Asheville for a short stay to visit the Biltmore Estate and to get to know a little bit of Asheville. The house is lovely, comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished; spacious, comfortable bedrooms; large bathroom between the two bedrooms. It's a wonderful remodel with the vaulted ceilings, open floor plan, hardwood floors, ceiling fans, all new fixtures and appliances. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area with similar sized homes, and an easy drive to downtown and Biltmore. The driveway was a bit of a problem for my low-clearance vehicle so be careful approaching the drive and don't pull up too far! Our visit was for two nights only, but a longer stay would have been quite comfortable, although we didn't think to bring coffee for the mornings. A great value for the money.

West Asheville, home of amazing restaurants, beer pubs, a local river park. Gateway to all mountain activities, including hiking, biking, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visit downtown, check out the Biltmore Estate, head on down to the River Arts District. It's all right here!
