Finca Monte Sion, a place to enjoy, relax and get away from it all! This idyllically situated Finca is located on top of a hill. You always have a clear, distant view overlooking the rural surroundings between Manacor and Petra until the horizon. The Finca was built 5 years ago. In the large garden you will find typical Mediterranean plants. There is a pool (5 x 7 m) at your disposal, which used to be a water reservoir. The whole house is surrounded by large terraces on different levels and there are olive trees for shadow. Due to the hillside situation there are several stairs in the garden to move up and down. And there is plenty to discover for your kids, enough space to romp around and for endless play. This dream property is the perfect place for nature lovers, hikers, mountain bikers or just relaxed holidaymakers and a central starting point for further activities of any kind. The 15.000 sqm property is completely fenced and the access route is paved.

Manacor stands out for being the second most important city in Majorca. It is well known for its production of furniture and imitation pearls. Manacor is located in the mountain spur of the 'Sierra de Levant' and was established in 1300 by Jaume II. The most important points of interest are the 'Torre de ses Puntes' from the 14th century, the Dominican monastery 'Sant Vincenc Ferrer' and the baroque convent 'Santo Domingo'. The existence of lime in the country has favoured the formation of several caves in the surrounding area of Manacor. You will find a train station, supermarkets, a clinic, restaurants, cafes, plenty of shops and an attractive pedestrian zone which invites for shopping and strolling. Each Monday a large weekly market takes place.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates apply for 4 people. Additional babys/infants are free of charge. Flat rate for final cleaning is €70, Electricity is charged separately in case you use the electric heaters. We charge a security deposit of €150, on check-in which will be returned on departure after a check-up of the house by the owner.
  • Bed linen, hand towels, 2 bathrobes, table clothes, pool and beach towels, two parasols and a cooler are included. Pool and garden are maintained when necessary. There are two extra storage areas for the guests, one for the washing machine and one for the pillows.
  • Booking procedures: With a reservation, you receive confirmation, directions on how to get to the property and car rental information by email. After receiving these, please transfer 30% of the rental amount directly to the house-owner's bank account provided. The balance is to be paid in cash on arrival. If possible you will be greeted by a German/English speaking person at an agreed spot at your time of arrival, guided to the property and given the house key and a tour of the property.
    This person is also authorized to receive the rental balance in lieu of the property owner. A receipt will be provided. We wish you to feel secure when booking online.

The windows and doors have folding shutters in order to shade the rooms if necessary.

Notes: The entrance is through a gate into the bright, large living room with integrated dining area. The fitted kitchen lies next door, visually devided by a round arch. It is fully equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer etc. The living room is furnished with a sofa and armchair and features a fireplace. Beautifully integrated cabinets and shelves define the ambience. Many stained glass windows and doors give the house a cosy atmosphere. The main bedroom with a large queen-size bed and a bedroom with 2 single beds are right next door. If necessary there is still place for a cot. The large bathroom is located on the corridor in between. The house is tastefully furnished in the typical Majorcan style. Due to the hillside situation there is a basement with utility room and washing machine. The owner keeps some personal items in the garage underneath the terrace. On the lower garden level you will find a brick BBQ with covered pergola. A carport is available.

Schön, aber ...

Vorweg - die Finca ist sehr schön und gepflegt, die Vermieter supernett und herzlich, und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Finca liegt wunderschön auf einer kleinen Anhöhe, wodurch man einen tollen weiten Blick hat. Durch die Vermieter wurden wir mit gartenfrischem Obst und Gemüse versorgt - einfach nur lecker. Die Nähe zu Manacor macht die Selbstverpflegung einfach und ist guter Ausgangspunkt für alle möglichen Unternehmungen. Und trotzdem sollte man sich auf ein paar Dinge einstellen:
Am Fuß der Anhöhe liegt eine sehr große Gärtnerei, wo ab 6 Uhr morgens mit den Traktoren gearbeitet wird. In ca. 300 m Entfernung steht ein großes Strom-Umspannwerk. Je nach Wetterlage liegt die Finca exakt unterhalb der Einflug- und Abflugschneise nach/von Palma (und von 14 Tagen war das an 12 Tagen der Fall). Man hört die Flieger nicht dröhnend laut, aber ein Pfeifen ist schon zu hören (zu bestimmten Zeiten im 5-Minuten-Takt). Die Autos auf der Schnellstraße nach Petra hört man in ca. 300 m Entfernung leicht rauschend vorbeiziehen, sowie die Züge der Bahnlinie Manacor/Palma (zumindest wenn am Tisch draußen vor der Küche sitzt). Zudem sind die Vermieter alle zwei Tage morgens von ca. 7-10 Uhr auf dem Gelände und pflegen die Anlage und den Garten. Man merkt es spätestens dann, wenn die Wasserpumpe anspringt, wenn draußen etwas gegossen wird.
Wer lange ausschlafen möchte und einen leichten Schlaf hat, könnte hier Schwierigkeiten bekommen. Auch morgens einfach mal nach dem Aufwachen so wie man ist in den Pool springen war nicht so möglich. Wir fühlten uns dadurch in unserer „Freiheit“ etwas eingeschränkt.
Nochmals: wir hatten eine schöne Zeit, haben uns gut erholt und die Finca ist schön und tip top in Schuss, aber man muss sich im Klaren sein, dass man nicht so alleine ist, wie man es vielleicht anfangs gedacht hat, und dass es mehr Geräusche gibt, als erwartet (an die man sich allerdings schnell gewöhnen kann).

Wen dies alles nicht stört, wird in Monte Sion eine wunderschöne Zeit verbringen.

Wir haben und sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieter sind super nett und hilfsbereit . Die Abwicklung ( Schlüsselübergabe etc. ) war sehr unkompliziert
und hat bestens funktioniert dank war der deutschen Vermietlungsdame.
Wir könnten sofort wieder unsere Koffer packen.

Traumhafte Finca...

.......super gepflegt mit allem Komfort für einen ruhigen Urlaub.
Die liebenswerten Vermieter versorgen die Gäste mit reichlich Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Gemüsegarten der Finca.
Der Pool ist groß und ebenfalls sehr gepflegt. Der Ausblick auf die umliegende Landschaft ist einfach genial.

Einziger Mangelpunkt für die heißen Sommermonate - keine Klimaanlage.

Wir verbrachten 2 wunderschöne Wochen auf dieser Finca und sagen dafür "herzlichen Dank".

Wir verbrachten 12 wunderschoene Tage in der "Monte Sion".
Wer Erholung und keinen Trubel sucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben.
Die Ruhe, den sauberen Pool und den schoenen Gemuesegarten haben wir sehr genossen.
Das Ferienhaus ist mit sehr viel Liebe und unzaehligen Details ausgestattet. Die Vermieter sind super nett und immer hilfsbereit.
Besonderen Dank gilt besonders der Gastfreundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit der Vermieter, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne Finca und sehr nette Vermieter

Wir haben uns auf der Finca Monte Sion sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist mit allem erdenklichem komfort ausgestattet und und mit viele Liebe eingerichtet. Alles im Haus war sauber und gepflegt. Die Vermieter sind beide äußerst nett und aufmerksam. Bei der Anreise standen Kaffepulver, Wasser, Obst usw. für das Frühstück am nächsten Tag bereit. Auch brachten uns die beiden am Morgen Ensemadas vorbei zum Frühstück, da wir nicht mehr am Ankunftstag einkaufen konnten. Der Pool ist auch sehr schön und war jeden Tag tip top gereinigt. Wir können dieses Haus nur weiterempfehlen.
Wir werden nächstes Jahr bestimmt wieder unseren Urlaub auf der Finca Monte Sion verbringen.
