Just a one hour ferry ride from downtown Seattle this stunning Bremerton property sits on the edge of Oyster Bay, one of the most tranquil and calm bays in Puget Sound. Come by boat or car and enjoy on the water living like you’ve never imagined. Perfect accommodations for family reunions, corporate retreats, or a family vacation (20 person max).
Extensive use of stone, tile and natural materials give the house a lodge feel that is cozy and warm but with enough room for everyone in a large group to sprawl out and have their own space. The outside boasts many patios and decks including 2 massive gas fire pits, a relaxing sauna, flagstone sunning level and large grass lawn for playing Bocce ball, crochet and a host of other games. A 170’ dock capable of multiple boats being tied up allows for deep water moorage, 10-14” deep at low tide. We provide kayaks. Concrete steps lead down to the rocky beach for low tide searches of crabs, starfish and whatever the bay has to offer.
Bring your own ski boat, Oyster Bay is known for its calm waters and is a favorite of most skiers/wake boarders on the peninsula. 4 boat ramps are a short distance away. Bring your own cruiser and make jaunts to many of the local towns, downtown Seattle for dinner, the San Juan’s or even Victoria BC.
Entertainment is provided throughout the house, even outside. The whole house music system (iPod and CD) has touch screen control in almost every room….even outside speakers! The Great room and MC have cable TV, PS3 & DVD/BLU RAY. The master has PS3 & DVD/BLU RAY. Wi-Fi with routers around the property for great internet access. Many DVD, CD, Books, PS3 games, everything to enjoy your stay.
Steps away from the parking area is the large outside entry hall. You’ll note that it’s perfect for outdoor entertaining, gaming and parties when the weather isn’t cooperating. Entering the main floor through the large wooden medieval front door, you’ll be struck by the view out past the dining room, opening up onto Oyster Bay. Virtually all of the rooms have water views and are situated to take the full advantage of being so close to the water. The interior spaces are large and furnished with high quality, new pieces that accent the tile and espresso hard wood floors. The entry boasts its own powder room for convenience.
Moving forward in to the dining room you’ll find a raised bar-height grand dining room table that seats 8.
To the left is the gourmet kitchen that boasts a Viking gas range with double ovens and a griddle top. A center island with 4 stools adds 4 more seats for dining. Nothing is lacking in this kitchen and the photos will speak for themselves. Fully outfitted for those that want to cook in their whole stay.
To the right is the massive Great Room. Open to the kitchen and dining room they all share espresso hardwood floors that flow between the 3 rooms.
The Great Room ceiling soars 25’ above the floor and with its lodge-sized gas fireplace and two french doors that open up to the upper deck, it has enough room for 3 large couches and a separate sitting area looking out over the water with 2 wicker daybeds, perfect for reading the afternoon away. The entertainment system, hidden wall TV, PS3, Sub woofer, DVD/Blu-ray, is great for family movies. One of the Great Room sofas turns into a comfortable queen size bed for one couple. This room also has ample space to accommodate more guests on day beds, other sofas and airbeds.
The west wing of the upstairs houses the master bedroom. This large and well lighted main floor master suite is situated to enjoy the view of Oyster Bay. With its own gas fire place, large Jacuzzi tub, glass enclosed walk-in shower, entertainment system, walk in closet and french doors leading to a private upper deck it’s the perfect “master”. The master bath is open to the bedroom and view. Comfortably sleeps one couple and a toddler/baby.
Also in the west wing of the main floor is the queen suite, maintaining a queen sized bed, attached full bathroom, basic TV, very private and one of only 2 bedrooms that doesn’t have water view. Comfortably sleeps one couple and a baby.
Downstairs the atmosphere is casual and family friendly. The first bedroom off the stairs is quiet, warm (heated floors) off the beaten path and can be a very cozy private place to get away from it all. Bedrooms 2 and 3 downstairs have water views, heated travertine floors and expansive walls of glass that open out to the lower patio area and stairs to the beach. Each lower-level room sleeps one couple.
The Spa bathroom on the West side has a sauna, huge dual head shower, double sink, separate toilet room, laundry facilities.
On the east side is the family room, mostly tile and stone, it is the favorite of kids that want to have their own space (that includes those “older kids” that want to take in a game and have their own space). Heated floors and a full entertainment system PS3, DVD, Surround sound, Sub woofer, a kitchenette and beach shower lead out through double French doors to the lower gas fire pit. This room houses a lot of the DVD and game selections we provide. This large family room can easily sleep an additional couple on the queen size sleeper sofa along with a toddler/baby. Day bed, airbeds and/or pack & plays can provide extra space for additional guests.
The family room bathroom, 100% stone is the favorite bathroom, with its slate ceiling, travertine walls, river rock and double headed shower; the whole family can wash off in here.

Doug and Tricia, local business owners and boating enthusiasts, are enjoying retirement in Maui.
Lifelong boaters on the waters of Puget Sound and the San Juan islands, we picked Oyster Bay to raise our children because of its stunning beauty, protected year round waters and close proximity to downtown Seattle.
Dana Hueckel purchased this estate in 2006
Oyster Bay is one of those special places where kids can take a row boat to treasure island, fish off the dock, kayak, swim to the dive platform or just beachcomb. A regular favorite of ours was to wakeboard every night.
Oyster Bay is known for its calm waters and was even home to the primers ski club in the area. This home is a water enthusiasts paradise and makes access to to the rest of the Puget Sound a breeze. Local restaurants and bars with dock access from Silverdale, Manette, Bremerton, Port Orchard and Poulsbo, 45 min trip to Seattle and only 2-3 hours away from the San Juan Islands, Victoria and the Gulf islands.
Any of our guests at the oyster bay estate are welcome to join us on the snorkel boat we operate in Kihei, Maui. Maui Snorkel Charters. Any stay earns 2 passes and a week or more gets 4 tickets if used in the next year.
This place is a women wedding dream....Beautiful staircase, views and so much space! Please do consider accommodating for weddings! it really is such a beautiful place
eight of us guys stayed at this beautiful home for three night. we hit good weather and a great time playing--chambers bay, horseshoe lakes, gold mountain and trophy lakes. the house had everything you needed. the hot tub felt great after walking chambers bay!! I would highly recommend this great place.
What a perfect home for our leadership retreat! The home is beautifully decorated and cozy. The view and landscaping is impeccable and you could sit outside for hours and just relax! Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.... we will definitely be booking again. We are ready to go back already. Thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one.
We booked this house for two nights for some well needed rest, relaxation and FUN for our staff together. The house had all we needed and more. The views are stunning and the house is very well stocked; all you could need and more. Directions were provided for the use of all the amenities (hot tub, sauna, firepits, home music system) and were easy to use. We had plenty of space for our 14 person crew and many great memories were shared indoors and out! The firepit on the deck was a favorite spot during our stay and we naturally congregated there for breakfast, conversation and wildlife viewing. One thing to note- privacy was a bit of an issue for us. The interior doorknobs do not lock, which was a bit awkward using bedrooms and bathrooms for our team. Also, the master bath (toilet, tub and shower)has no separation from the bedroom. Its either wide open viewing or glass walls. Again, a bit awkward for several people sharing one room. This may not be an issue for families looking to book this home but something to know before you book..... Overall, a wonderful stay and we hope to be back!
An absolutely gorgeous space - bright, well-furnished, perfectly laid out. We had a group there for our wedding and the house was everything we had hoped for. The kitchen was huge and so well equipped, several of us were able to cook at once. The dining table was large and beautiful and comfortable. Beds were also comfortable and people enjoyed several of the showers.
There were so many areas of the house and property to hang out; I was sad when we left that I hadn't had time to take advantage of several of them. There were four different fires by which we could sit! I loved sitting and watching the Sound. We saw otters (I think) and a boat anchored nearby. We were lucky with the weather, but I would have loved to sit under the covered part of the patio, drink coffee and watch the rain!
I chose this property partly because it came with kayaks. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that they are tied to the dock - no dragging them out from a boathouse!
I hadn't even realized when I booked it, but the location is super convenient. There is a ferry from Seattle to Bremerton only a few miles away, and people can walk to Starbucks and a few other stores from the house. Meredith was also incredibly sweet and accommodating. If our group had been organized earlier, they would also have been able to rent out the house next door. Instead, they stayed at the Flagship Inn, which is not the fanciest, but two doors down with all the same pretty views.
A couple of pieces of advice:
- They provide towels, but if you have a large group or people want more than one, bring more.
- Read the binder. We thought it was just for reference if we needed it and the morning we had to leave realized there was quite a bit of cleaning required before leaving.
We love this property! We hope it is still for rent when we have our one-year anniversary!
We just returned from our yearly vacation and felt we needed to share our feelings toward this house. This house is an amazing place to stay with something for everyone. The kids and I loved the kayaks and rowboat on the bay. We also loved the Man Cave. We spent most nights in there watching movies with the surround sound. Three of our kids even slept in there on the day beds and pull out couch. The bedrooms were fantastic for all. The bathrooms were incredible!! We spent a large amount of time in the gigantic hot tub. The kids treated it like a large pool. We had smores overlooking the bay most nights on the amazing patios. The location for the house is between Olympic National Park and Seattle and allowed us to see most of the sites we wished to visit. The owners' manager met us at the property and explained everything for us. She was extremely helpful and easy to reach. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a fabulous vacation. We hated leaving!!
This one-of-a-kind property conveniently sits in the middle of Kitsap County. Within minutes, you could be riding the ferry to Seattle, walking on the beach, shopping and so much more!
