Fast underground access: 8 minutes Paddington, 15 minutes Oxford Circus

Our beautiful flat is in a fantastic neighbourhood. It’s just 5 minutes walk from Queens Park tube which goes direct to Paddington, Baker Street, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. Brondesbury Park tube is also about 5 minutes walk for easy East/West access to Hampstead, Richmond and the Olympic park area.

The bright spacious flat on the top (2nd floor) of a 19th Century house has a very spacious kitchen/dining room and a large separate sitting room. It’s tastefully furnished with an Ercol dining table and chairs, comfortable sofas and great pictures. But it also has mod cons such as fast Wi-fi, a 40in Sony Bravia TV & DVD , a Sony hi-fi and Neff appliances. There’s also a sunny, enclosed private garden which is a great place to sit out on a summer evening.

The flat comfortably sleeps 6 people. There are 2 double bedrooms and one smaller bedroom with bunk beds. The larger double has a ziplink bed so can be separated into 2 single beds on request. The bunk beds are full width and 6 feet long so will accommodate most adults comfortably. But for maximum flexibility the sitting room (next to the small bedroom) has a queen-sized double sofa bed.

Queens Park is a lively middle class neighbourhood popular with media people - the BBC is nearby, and has many excellent shops, restaurants and cafes within a couple of minutes’ walk. These include the Salusbury Tavern gastropub, Gails Artisan bakery, Penks Restaurant, a Sainsburys local supermarket (less than 100 metres) and a Farmers Market selling organic and local produce.

Queens Park itself is close by with tennis courts, a pétanque area, pitch and putt golf, an excellent cafe with outside tables, a playground for children under 12, a paddling pool, a huge sandpit area for toddlers and a children's animal zoo. Portobello Road in Notting Hill with its excellent shops, market and cafes is also walking distance.

The flat is very quick to get to from all London airports and from St Pancras International. Or if you prefer to drive parking vouchers are available for a nominal charge which allow you to park outside the flat.

From Heathrow airport; Get the Heathrow express to Paddington then get the Bakerloo line northbound a few stops to Queens Park. A black cab from Paddington to Queens Park costs £8-£15

From St Pancras International

Get the Northern line north bound one stop to Euston station (or this is about 7 minutes walk). Then get the overground from Euston direct to Queens Park. Or get a black cab from St Pancras to Queens Park for about £12-£18.

From Gatwick airport

Get the Gatwick Express to Victoria and then the tube (Victoria line Northbound for 2 stops to Oxford Circus then change to the Bakerloo northbound to Queens Park. Or get a black cab for approx £15-£20.

We decided to move out of London after 20 years living in the area. However moving out of London is well-known as a one way ticket because house prices in London historically go up faster than elsewhere. So we decided to buy a flat and made sure we bought one where we'd love to live ourselves in case we decide to move back to London in the future.

What makes this apartment unique

It's a cliche but location, location, location is why we bought this flat. It's just a great neighbourhood with fantastic shops, cafes and restaurants that's also within very easy reach of the West End. However what clinched it was the flat's spacious reception rooms, bright light rooms and sunny garden area. We also knew the people who lived in the flat before.

Great location and amenities

We were a party of 5 and had a lovely time in this flat. Teenagers were happy with wifi and adults loved the space. Location was about 5 minutes from tube with a Sainsbury local grocery in between. Ben was extremely helpful with the reservations process. The only drawback we could come up with is that it only was one bathroom which made mornings hectic. Small price to pay for this fabulous place in London. I will definitely recommend it!

We Dutchies were going to London for our participation at the Tough Mudder, a 12 mile obstacle run. The appartment was absolutly great to prepare us and get relaxed at the start of this. The days after we had a great time by seeing Londen. The underground is on the corner of the flat, even the supermarkets and some very good restaurants (Indian Food!). The appartment has everything you need and we will definitly come back!

Perfect setting for our family!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our first overseas vacation. Two kids, two parents and one grandparent had more than enough space to relax with all the necessities. The flat was clean and well maintained, with enough kitchen and dining supplies for all of us. The location was perfect. Close to Queens Park, the Underground, Overground, and plenty of restaurants and shops to stock up on food and supplies. The neighborhood was mellow and quiet, which was nice for us to escape from the tourist areas we visited during the day.
Thank you for making this trip so great for all of us! We will definitely suggest this flat for any of our American friends who are traveling to London.

Excellent family accommodation

This flat was perfect. The high street was full of great shops and very close to the tube. The flat was very comfortable, lovely bed linen, well equipped kitchen and all exceptionally clean. The area was quiet, safe and very convenient for groceries etc. Queens Park was an oasis in all the rush and noise of sightseeing in London. Can't wait to stay here again!

Owner's Response: Great to get such positive feedback on the flat! As we tell our guests villagey areas just outside the West End like Queens Park are nicer & better value to to stay in than very touristy areas like Bayswater or Earls Court.

Perfect for our family

My three teenage daughters and I were here in January 2011 for 10 days and had a wonderful time. The apartment is clean, spacious, and located in a safe, convenient location. We enjoyed the short walk to the grocery store and to the metro line. We would return in a heartbeat!

'Queens Park is a lively neighbourhood popular with media people (the BBC is nearby) and with quite a smattering of celebs too. You may run into Jade Jagger or Thandie Newton walking her dog in the local park. Queens park tube is just five minutes and takes just 15 minutes to the West End to visit the major London attractions.The excellent shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk of the house include the Salusbury Tavern gastropub, Gails Artisan bakery, Penks Restaurant, a Sainsburys and a Farmers Market (selling organic and local produce) held every Sunday morning. Queens Park itself is also just a couple of hundred metres away with tennis courts, an ornamental garden, a pétanque area, a pitch and putt golf course, an excellent cafe with outside tables, a playground for children under 12, a paddling pool, a huge sandpit area for toddlers and a children's animal zoo. A little further on Portobello Road in Notting Hill with its market and shops is within walking distance

  • The flat offers lots of flexibility with sleeping arrangements. Each bedroom has two bedside lights and a Sony Clock/Radio. 1. The sitting room has a king-sized sofa bed. This gives the flat maximum flexibility with 3 double beds possible (and if sleeping in the sitting room you can use the 3rd bedroom next door (with the bunk-beds) to store your clothes and suitcases. 2. The bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom are 6ft (1.82m)long with plenty of headroom and will therefore accommodate most adults 3. Ever stayed in a holiday house where the kitchen was equipped with all the broken or worn out stuff from the owners house? Well we have so we have made sure the kitchen is really well equipped with high quality Stella pots and pans, white un-chipped china, proper sharp knives and a full range of other kitchen accessories and utensils. In fact when we stay here ourselves our kids complain that everything is much nicer than what we have at home. We've also supplied high quality Sony audiovisual equipment: 40 in Sony LCD TV, a Sony mini hi-fi digital radio & ipod player and Sony clock/radios for all the bedrooms. Parking vouchers are available at a cost of 1.2 euros per day (cost price) & enable you to park right outside the flat. We permit smokers to stay but no smoking is allowed in the house. However you can smoke in the garden. There is an extra 'higher' chair in the kitchen for toddlers and children under 10.
