This is a lovely modern but traditional cosy chalet with lots of light and fabulous views.

Entrance hall - the underfloor heating allows your boots to dry out overnight.

Open plan living room - with wood burning fireplace, big comfortable sofas, large TV with international cable channels, DVD , stereo/MP3 player. Wifi. Double doors opening onto the terrace and garden.

Dining area - spacious social dining at the circular table with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Kitchen - Fully equipped with dishwasher, fan oven, electric hob, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, teapot, and full range of crockery, cutlery, utensils and equipment.

Shower room with shower, WC and wash handbasin.

Upstairs-

- 3 double bedrooms, 2 with balconies

- 1 bedroom with twin beds (sleeps 2)

- 1 bathroom, bath and excellent shower, basin and WC; updated autumn 2014 with more than double the hot water capacity: now 500litres!

In addition there is plenty of secure storage for skis and boards.

For your summer holidays there is a BBQ, lovely wooden table and chairs, recliners - yes it's a great place for sunbathing and relaxing! plenty of level lawn for children to play on in a quiet and calm area with no traffic.

About Mini and Dan Collar

We moved to La Tzoumaz to run our own catered chalet (and B&B) in 2008 and the owners of the chalets being built around us asked if we would manage the rental of theirs. So our little business expanded to take on some rental properties, we know manage about a dozen lovely properties all close by to our own.

Why Mini and Dan Collar chose La Tzoumaz

Chalet Tranquille changed ownership in 2013 but continues to be a popular rental chalet in both the winter ski season and in the warm summer months. It has been updated to have a huge hot water tank as the new owners were not happy with the previous one. It is still looked after with love by the owners and we very much hope you enjoy your stay here.

What makes this chalet unique

The chalet has been furnished to a very high standard with really comfortable beds and really good quality bedding and towels, plenty of storage for your clothes, hooks for jackets or towels, mirrors in each bedroom, little things which really make a difference to your holiday. It's in a great location too - quiet but only 10 minute walk to the village centre, and 50m up to the free bus stop (in winter) so it's quick and easy to get to the slopes which are another 500m away.

Wonderful stay in a picture perfect chalet

The chalet was gorgeous, very well appointed with plenty of space for 5 adults. There was easy access to the ski lift both on foot and via the bus which stopped at the top of the hill. We had a great week skiing in both La Tzoumaz and Verbier, the village has plenty to keep you busy in the afternoon but it is easy to get over to Verbier if you want a little more choice.

Dan and Mini were very helpful both before we arrived and during our stay. I can't recommend this chalet highly enough, can't wait to go back!

La Tzoumaz is a tranquil Swiss village that clings to the side of the Savoleyres mountain with stunning views, high above the Rhone Valley. Linked directly to Verbier with a modern high speed gondola for access into the whole 4 Vallées ski domain. The ski area boasts some of the best skiing in Europe and you can ski straight back to the village on easy blue runs or down the itinerary run Vallon d’Arby.

From the Savoleyres top station you can sledge down the 10km toboggan run through the trees back to the village.

The village offers everything that you might need – shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a tennis court (summer), an indoor swimming pool and sauna and an outdoor ice skating rink (winter only!).

In the spring, summer and autumn there are fantastic walking routes along the “Bisse”, the ancient Saxon irrigation system as well as some far more demanding hiking into the high mountains where you will often see the cows grazing the floral meadows.

Stay tax SFr2 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the manager upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 6 years.
Notes During the winter season, prices include all bedding and towels for up to 8 people, this does not apply for summer rentals. Final cleaning is always included. Electricity used during your stay will be charged for, locally in Swiss cash please. Tourist tax must be paid - 1chf per child per night (6 - 16 yrs) 2chf per adult per night, no charge for 5 yrs and under.
10% discount on 2 week bookings.
25% of the rental price secures the booking.
The balance payment is due 8 weeks before your holiday
Payment by bank transfer to our Swiss account or by credit card (2% charge for Visa and MasterCard)
Tourist tax must be paid in cash on arrival at the property. Electricity used must paid for in cash at the end of your stay, calculation is made from meter reading on arrival and departure.
