We pride ourselves on the personal service we offer and look forward very much to welcoming our guests to our lovely ' pied-à-terre ' in the heart of London Town.

During 'check in' we will guide you through all aspects relating to the Apartment. A comprehensive 'Welcome Information' pack, includes written instructions on all the appliances and

equipment in the Apartment, together with maps showing the local amenities, such as delicatessen and supermarkets, doctors surgery and pharmacist, bars, restaurants and cafes, boat, bus and rail links, tube maps, a local history guide and not least, a very informative map of the Thames Path, a complimentary copy of which is provided for your personal use together with numerous leaflets on London's famous landmarks and activities. Various information books on all that London has to offer, are also available to you. We also provide some basic provisions such as tea, coffee, milk and sugar, bread and butter, cereals and conserves for your convenience.

If you arrive early your luggage can be left at the Apartment until we are ready for you at 2.00pm

THE TERRACE AND THE RIVER THAMES: The exceptionally large private Terrace is a real bonus and a fabulous outdoor space to enjoy. The views are wonderful and there are always a variety of boats passing by on the Thames for you to see. At high tide luxury Cruise Liners,Tugs, the famous Thames Barges & sometimes Navy Ships and the old fashioned, tall clipper sail ships can be seen sailing past to dock alongside HMS Belfast. This part of the Thames was once known as the 'Pool of London' because of its deep water channels which enables such large vessels to go upstream. The views are even more impressive at night, especially at New Year. There are numerous firework displays to see across the London skyline not least of all the fantastic firework display at the London Eye which 'as the crow flies' can been seen clearly from the Terrace. If the weather is good the Terrace is bathed in sunshine all day long. It's the perfect place to unwind and relax - whether it's day or night - all you have to do is prepare the cocktails!

KITCHEN SPECIFICATION: The well equipped kitchen is of contemporary design and includes high specification Siemens fitted appliances. Stainless steel electric oven/grill, microwave, 4 ring halogen hob with splashback panel and extractor chimney hood and light. Integrated fridge with ice box and separate freezer, quality washer/dryer and stainless steel sink, together with discreet mood lighting. Filter coffee cafetiere and Whittards of Chelsea table and glassware, together with stainless steel cutlery and steak knives, kitchen utensils, pots, pans and white serving dishes. We also include items such as spices, sauces, conserves, condiments, olive oil, tea and coffee. Cleaning materials and washing powder is also available for use. We ensure that the kitchen is spotlessly clean and hygenic at all times. We hope we have provided for your every need, to indeed, make you feel at home when away.

PERFECT ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION

My boyfriend and I stayed six nights in this apartment last November and could not have been happier with our choice. The apartment is located right on the River Thames and within walking distance of the Bermondsey station on the Jubilee line. We had no problems hopping on the tube to get to all of our destinations. There are a couple of small grocery stores between the apartment and the tube station which were handy to pick up supplies. We were also able to safely and comfortably walk to many restaurants and bars close by with great views of the river.

The apartment itself was spotless and everything was in its place. Janet and Peter met us there to give us an introduction and provided loads of helpful information about London in general as well as the apartment and neighborhood. The apartment was very well equipped, even containing various cereals, milk, etc. for us to use without having to go to the store immediately.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in London and this lovely apartment had a lot to do with that. When we were tired at the end of the day from sightseeing and dealing with crowds, it was wonderful to come back to our quiet part of town and have time to ourselves. If we come back, we would love to stay here again. Thank you so much for having us!

GREAT BASE FOR EXPLORING LONDON

I'm not going to repeat all of the complimentary reviews of Janet and Peter and the apartment as they are all very accurate and it was exactly as described and pictured. I'm a Londoner living in Vancouver and I was returning with my wife and young son to London over the Christmas / New Year Holidays.

As with real estate; Location is everything and whether walking, taking the bus or hopping on the Jubilee line it is very well positioned to easily get to and from all the major tourist or retail therapy hot spots.

We enjoyed it as a great base and even had family round and cooked Christmas Dinner!... Looking forward to coming back and enjoying the very large balcony patio with wine and a BBQ in the summer months.

No hesitation in a 5-star review.

WONDERFUL LONDON HOLIDAY!!

First of all, our apologies for not writing this sooner; we had a sick family member upon our return to the States that kept us from sharing our excitement about and wonderful reviews of our stay in London.

We loved "living" in this London apartment during our week-long stay in London! The apartment was so well-appointed! Janet and Peter have thought of everything a traveler might need and then some! They provided us with so much wonderful information -- from area history to the lay of the land to important contact information and transportation info and it was helpful to have a few groceries on hand upon our arrival as well. Their warm welcome upon our arrival was also much appreciated after a long night of traveling. And thank you again for the thoughtful extras for our son!

The apartment was very clean and quiet. Just enough room for our family of three! It was very comfortable and it really felt like we were coming "home" at the end of a long day of sightseeing and fun!

The location was wonderful! We were hoping for a place that was a bit removed from the hustle and bustle but still easy to get everywhere and this is definitely the right location. It was a short walk in either direction to get to the underground or the bus. But the best way to see the sights was on foot and we especially loved being able to walk out our door and walk all along the South Bank of the Thames. And how thrilling to walk around the corner from the apartment and see the Tower Bridge!! With a small market close by we were able to get anything we needed and it was nice to be able to have breakfast on our own in the apartment before heading out for the day.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay; two months later we find ourselves "homesick" for our London visit and the apartment that felt like our home while in London. Janet and Peter, thank you for making our trip to London so enjoyable and for providing such a warm, wonderful place to stay. We hope to return someday and we would HIGHLY recommend your property and your hospitality to friends and relatives.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VERY NICE APT - GREAT LOCATI

Recently 2 of us stayed at Peter and Janet's lovely apt. for 10 days. The location is in a very quiet residential area, but within a 10 minute walk to the tube and very walkable to several nice restaurants. The terrace provides a lovely view of the Thames.
We cooked breakfast and most evening meals at the apt. Several stores are nearby for purchasing groceries, and we also found the small store next to the tube station to be open 24/7 and a good place for staples. We felt very safe in the apt, and walking in the general area around it. The bed was superb - very very comfortable.
The apt has plenty of seating area, and TVs in both the lounge area and in the bedroom. The wifi worked splendidly. There is a vast amount of information on hand in the apartment - brochures and travel books - such that you have everything you need to plan a perfect trip. Janet and Peter welcomed us warmly and even provided some breakfast foods for us, after our long journey from the US. We were not all that familiar with the area near the apt., but found everything we needed to be there. And the nearby Shad Thames area is quite nice, providing many good restaurants, and a lovely view of the Tower Bridge at night. Highly recommend this lovely apartment.

A WONDERFUL PLACE TO EXPLORE LONDON

The ownersare very nice and helpful.

They picked us up from the station and showed us some stores, restaurants and a beautiful walk along the Thames.

The owners also had bought many things (milk, toast, coffee, tea, jam...) for the breakfast.

They also give us many good information and a helpful map.

The apartment is very tastefully and practically decorated/ furnished, nothing is missing.

We feel very comfortable right away.

The kitchen is fully equipped.

In the beds to sleep is a dream. The bedroom is quiet and has a super king size bed.

The apartment is very clean.

From the big terrace you have a fantastic view of the Thames.

The apartment is in a few minutes at the Thames and the Tower bridge.

Many fine restaurants are within walking distance.

Also the tube station (Bermondsey) is just a five minutes walk away.

A heartful thank you to Peter and Janet for their hospitality.

PERFECT LOCATION

My husband and I (no spring chickens) found this apartment to be the perfect location for touring London for 9 days. We used an Oyster card and took buses everywhere. Less than 2 blocks away is Jamaica road on which there are many bus routes going both east and west and with just a little research on the TFL web site we were able to get to everything by bus. We also took a hop on hop off bus as well for 2 days and found that to be a very good way to get to many places in a short amount of time. As stated by other reviewers the apartment is just as pictured. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood yet just a short walk to all the action. Very clean and every detail thought of. Janet and Peter are wonderful hosts and although we did not get to meet them in person because Janet had a serious back injury they made sure we were well taken care of and called often to make sure we had everything we needed. Our favorite day was walking east along the river on a Sunday during a world boat race on the Thames. Along the way we met and spoke to many of the locals who were very friendly and offered suggestions on what to do that would be different and unusual for tourists. We ended up at the Mayflower Pub a short distance from the apartment and very historic and had a traditional Sunday roast lunch out of doors on their patio whilst watching the boats and talking to all the other people there. Most wonderful time excellent accommodations. Thank You Janet and Peter.
