NYC Top 5 tourist spots less than 10 minutes away!: Everything is with-in walking distance. And a much, much more desirable location in the most exciting part of New York City. Walk to major attractions, world-class shopping and delicious International eateries. With all of NYC favorite tourist hot spots. Including Radio City Hall, Saks, Fifth Ave. Rockefeller Center and Ice skating rink, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Time Square, the Theater District, Central Park, the David Letterman show, Top of the Rock observation tower, restaurant row, the Empire State Building, the United Nations Plaza and much more all with-in walking distance!!!

Most importantly, the subway stations are only a 5 to 10 minute walk.

Our location is within an unlimited variety of restaurants that range from fast food take-out to exquisite fine dining. There are also many health food markets for those who prefer to dine in. The Midtown nightlife also accommodates a wide range of interests through cafe lounges, bars and even authentic ethnic flavors!

NYC Top Tourist Spots just minutes away!: Times Square: The heart of Manhattan and its entertainment hub. Theater district of Broadway is nearby and many cinemas, restaurants, shopping malls and parks.

From the hustle of the Port Authority Bus Terminal to the bustle of Seventh Avenue and 42nd Street, much of New York's dazzling vibrancy and energy emanates from this area stretching from Times Square to Central Park South. Packed with theaters, tourist attractions and tall office buildings, the buzz and glow of the city are most obvious amid the huge neon signs, giant wraparound news tickers (ABC News has a studio location here) and Broadway marquees. After braving the crowds of pop-obsessed teeny boppers gathered around MTV Studios visit the Hershey’s Time Square Store to satisfy your sweet tooth. Or grab a bite to eat at typical tourist meccas like Planet Hollywood or the ESPN Zone.

A stroll up Broadway, whether in the early morning or late at night, passes by some of America's most cherished institutions, and the number of glowing lights are rivaled only by the Las Vegas Strip. Little wonder that Mondrian's inspiration for 'Broadway Boogie-Woogie' came from this amazing array of places and colors; some of the facades literally scream out at the visitor as though ready to burst out from the grid of Midtown's streets and fly into orbit!

If you need a respite from the sensory over-stimulation of Times Square, visit the New York Public Library. The majestic Beaux-Arts building, flanked by the two famous marble lions, Patience and Fortitude, has been the heart and soul of the New York library system for nearly a century. It’s great for a little peace and quiet, and of course a great read. The library is to adjacent Bryant Park, which is a lovely patch of green in the middle of skyscraper territory. Among the amenities available to visitors are a French-style carousel, a boule board, chess tables, free summer movie screening, over 25,000 varieties of flowers, the Bryant Park Grill, and free wireless access, as well as 2,000 moveable chairs.

Midtown west is also home to Radio City Music Hall (home to world-famous dancers, the Rockettes), Museum of Television and Radio, Museum of Modern Art, Carnegie Hall and the newly renovated Museum of Arts & Design. These extraordinary cultural institutions play host year-round to natives and tourists alike, so catch an eye-catching exhibit or enjoy a symphony and bask in some of New York’s greatest artistic offerings.

There is also no shortage of restaurants in the area. For some excellent French fare try La Bergamote, which is known for its vast menu, with nearly 30 types of luxurious French pastries, six sorts of croissants, over a dozen types of breads as well as diverse handmade chocolates. For dinner try Aquavit, the country's preeminent Scandinavian restaurant. There really are too many dining options to list, but click here to check out entire listings of restaurant in the Midtown area.

If you're looking to spend your stay in New York right in the heart of Midtown, there are plenty of hotel options. The Renaissance New York Hotel is located in close proximity to Times Square, as is sophisticated, luxury boutique hotel Night. And for the more budget conscious traveler there's the Comfort Inn Midtown and the Portland Square Hotel.

Midtown Manhattan, or simply Midtown, is a geographic area of Manhattan, New York City. It is home to some of the city's most iconic buildings, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the United Nations Headquarters. It contains world-famous commercial zones such as Rockefeller Center, Broadway, and Times Square.

Geographically, Midtown is commonly defined as the area south of 59th Street, east of the Hudson River, west of the East River, and though its southern border is less clear, most consider it to be somewhere between 14th Street and 30th Street. Overall, Manhattan can be divided into three geographic regions: 'Uptown', Midtown, and 'Downtown'.

As New York's largest central business district, Midtown Manhattan is the busiest single commercial district in the United States, and among the most intensely used pieces of real estate in the world. The majority of New York City's skyscrapers, including its tallest hotels and apartment towers, lie within Midtown. The area hosts commuters and residents working in its offices, hotels, and retail establishments; many tourists, visiting residents, and students populate the district. Some areas, such as Times Square and Fifth Avenue, have large clusters of retail stores. Sixth Avenue in Midtown holds the headquarters of three of the four major television networks. It is a growing center of finance, second in importance within the United States only to Downtown Manhattan's Financial District. Times Square is the center of Broadway theater.

United Nations: A distinctive complex in NYC, United States, that has served as the official headquarters of the United Nations.

Metropolitan Museum of Art: The most popular museum in NYC, holds a treasure trove of artifacts, paintings, sculptures, and more.

Central Park: The heart of Manhattan is the essential breathing space. Laze around; enjoy boating in the lake or public performances in the open air theater.

Empire State Building: Since 1931, the Empire State has received 120 million visitors. The 1,453-foot skyscraper is on Fifth Avenue and 34th Street in midtown.

Rockefeller Center: In the center of Midtown is a complex of stores, attractions, and restaurants.

Statue of Liberty: One of New York City's most iconic landmarks, the Statue of Liberty welcomes thousands of visitors each day. Located on an island in the waters of the Upper New York Bay, visitors can only access the monument by ferry. A colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor designed by Frédéric Bartholdi. A gift from France on October 28, 1886 is of a robed female representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and Declaration of Independence.

A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

  • 1 of 5
The rooms are tiny. You can barely turn around. Description does not reveal it is a basement with small windows and little light. Patio is dirty and only has a plastic conference room table and metal folding chairs and no sunlight. Whoever did the photos was very clever in showing a bad property. Location is good and that is the best I can say. If you tried to get 9 people in as copy suggests you would be impossibly crowded.

Owner's Response: What a dishonest review. All description is correct and this is a ground floor suite that is specified in the description of this suite, not a basement. Meaning nothing is under the ground but on the ground. Big plus is an outdoor area that is inside of the building - don't forget this is Manhattan and not a Florida. Size is a good size for a Manhattan 3 bedroom, apartment is in a great condition totally equipped with new high quality things . Pictures are of the real apartment and not even the best pics. We do not miss inform anyone in no way and were flexible enough to accommodate this guest earlier. But looks like this reviewer doesn't like talk about good things.

PARTY OF 7

  • 3 of 5
This was a family vacation which included two grandmothers husband-and-wife and three teenage boys. New York is a fun adventurous place. We did a lot of walking. The three bedroom one bathroom apartment was small and cramped. However given that this is New York this was expected. The response of the manager and staff was very good. They were responsive to our needs including providing a top shelf oven given that this apartment does not have an oven for baking.

The only issue was that the landlord lives across the way and scared our mothers as he banged on the door not properly identifying himself. The outdoor patio is enclosed but the light did not work so we we're not able to use during the evening for dinner. In addition the furniture was dirty and not set up properly. The outdoor patio could have been decorated more attractively by adding lighting and plants as a suggestion.

Bring your own hand towels as these are not provided. Each room has an AC unit which for summer warm temperatures made it more comfortable. Of note 2 of the AC units did not emit cold air.

These are not complaints just minor observations and issues that a renter should know. Overall we had a great time. New York all by itself is sufficient. For New York standards the apartment was what is expected however if you come with a moderately sized group be prepared for cramped space, very small kitchen, closed off patio with table chairs, and stone walls, and windows to other people's apts.

Owner's Response: Hand towels are always provided and extra are given - always in a closet. Landlord is not living cross the hall - that is a super of the building and he does maintenance for the building when needed, so how bad that could be. Sure he should've inform us before, but they never do.
ACs are working - it is a brand new ACs and they work properly with the correct setting. Please look how you do the setting before complaining. To rent an apartment please be capable to operate basic things in an apartment and we have a hostess for any questions and she was never asked by this guest. Please do your research about Manhattan rentals - what to expect, how valuable is outdoor space and how much is everything in a Manhattan so you can have an idea and realistic expectations.

Owner's Response: That is not Murray Hill - so wrong property ?... Starting from street 34th it is a Midtown property. Sorry that you "led to believe", but wonder by who? To accuse someone in lies you need to provide at least 1 proof and sure you don't have any. The location is clearly specified with a HomeAway/VRBO map and on quote description as clearly as possible. I always answer all the questions HONESTLY as it is and no question was send by you. Subway is 4-5 blocks away and I would tell you if you couldn't figure it from a map and just ask me, you could use other public transportation or taxi right on 2nd ave that is right there. And YES Manhattan is very tight on spaces but all our suites are good Manhattan size, very economical, have everything needed and comfortable, - no there are no big kitchens in apartments in Manhattan, and outside patio is outside and in a rainy and cold weather as we had it during your stay it gets dusty from the weather- there is no other mess there and very clean for the outside patio.
Our professional cleaning and management team is very caring young team and the best we ever had and we can hope for. We are very disappointed that you didn't find anything nice to say about a nice hostess who met you and showed you everything and was very supportive to all your multiple requests and concerns, or to our property manager who keeps this suite in a great condition and checking that all is working. They work hard to please someone like you. Maybe 5 star standard hotel with no kitchen would be better for people who expect it all for discounted price. Oh price, but something got to give.

WONDERFUL APARTMENT IN A CONVENIENT LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
Great place! Quiet even though it's only a block from 2nd Avenue. Beds are comfy and each room has a closet (two are walk in closets which is unheard of in this city.) Huge TV in den and also TV in one BR. The private outdoor space is what clinched it for us. Nice to chill out in and even smoke a cigarette. On 2nd Avenue, the Gemini diner is open 24 hours and has great sandwiches. Garlic Pizza is the best takeout pizza. The sushi place is very good too (even sashimi.) Walk to two huge supermarkets, and use the small but good kitchen (no oven.). Overall, a great place for the price. I will be back.

AWESOME! TOTALLY WONDERFUL LOCATION AND PROPERTY!

  • 5 of 5
Such a nice apartment, many amenities, and beds so comfortable. Just a short taxi ride from JFK, greeted by Iris, our pretty host who was very helpful showing us our suite and wonderful clean neighborhood, with a huge beautiful park with a children's play areas just steps away.

We were happy to experience a safe and clean neighborhood without the noise and congestion. Near grocery stores, deli's, cafes, restaurants and wine bars. Plus, we were just minutes from Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square and Midtown.

We were all happy with the size and cleanliness of the apartment and rooms, being that it was New York City. Also, it was very comforting coming back to a very quiet, and clean, nicely furnished apartment with a huge flat screen TV with cable channels and all the comforts of home. Plus, my own private TV in my nicely appointed bedroom with tempur-pedic bed!

The outdoor patio was a bonus for us and a great place to sit and enjoy a peaceful night with a nice glass of wine and snacks.

The location really made our trip fantastic for us and we will recommend it to family and friends.

Iris was very friendly and informative and Eleonora was very helpful with our booking and made us feel important providing very professional customer service and follow up!

EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION!

  • 4 of 5
This was a solid property in Midtown South. Very convenient to subway and an easy walk to Times Square and other attractions. It is small, but for a three bedroom it has pretty much anything you need. The star of this situation is the communication and ease of booking and checking in. Iris kept in constant contact before and during our travels and made checkin and checkout as easy as can be! Would absolutely recommend using this service.

Midtown South is not only the center of Manhattan, but also the center of many visitor trips to New York. This section covers the east side of Midtown, approximately 34th Street to 42nd Street, east of Fifth Avenue.

Exclusive clothing stores on Fifth Avenue and well-known landmarks have turned this into a desirable residential neighborhood with a string of bars and restaurants on Third Avenue.

Midtown East is also home to some of the city's most famous buildings and structures. Grand Central Terminal isn't just the world's most famous train station -- it's also a midtown destination for shopping (with a multitude of specialty stops), dining, public events, and tours. GCT is steps away from the Chrysler Building, which, while not open to the public, remains the one of the world's finest examples of 1930s Art Deco architecture and the second-tallest building in the city. The United Nations headquarters, built in 1949-50, is also nearby. Guided tours are offered seven days a week (except during January and February, when the UN is closed to the public on weekends). The 56-story Chanin Building is one of the more well-known, ornate Art Deco buildings in the city. One of the city's finest examples of 1960s architecture, the steel-and-glass Ford Foundation Building is home to a beautiful, open-to-the-public, 1/3-acre interior semi-tropical garden complete with lily pond. Beautiful churches are also found in this area, including St. Patrick's Cathedral, St. Bartholomew's Church, and St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral.

When most people think of New York City, they picture one of Midtown's many signature attractions: Times Square, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, the United Nations. Burned into our collective memory by movies, television shows and photographs, these Midtown landmarks have always conveyed the energy and excitement of New York. It is here, in the heart of the City, that so many visitors have been captivated by the ambition pulsing through New York. Gaze upon the glittering lights of Times Square, the rows upon rows of leather-bound books at the grand New York Public Library and the posh style of The Plaza Hotel, and experience these iconic landmarks up close—sights that will not easily be forgotten.

Notes:
The area is populated with some of New York’s most iconic landmarks. While walking along 42nd Street and Park Avenue a visit to Grand Central Station is certainly in order, for Grand Central is one of the most stunning railroad stations in America Walk in to admire its stunning brass clock, the exquisite staircases, and the unique celestial ceiling, its light bluish-green background filled with well-known constellations dotted with tiny lights. Restored in recent years, the cavernous main hall is bathed in natural light during the day, and pulsates with activity at night, thanks not least to its three busy restaurants: Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, Metrazur, and the famous Oyster Bar. Another superb restaurant in the area includes the Benjamin Steakhouse, housed inside the ornate 1903 Beaux-Arts Dylan Hotel. There's also Sparks Steak House which is known for not only its massive steaks, but its massive wine list as well.
