This five bedroom South Lake Tahoe vacation home has it all! There's plenty of room for everyone in your group of up to 14 to spread out. It has a gorgeously-designed, tribal-inspired interior, a game room with pool table, and outdoor hot tub. The Dreamcatcher Lodge is the ideal Tahoe getaway for friends and family with a location right between Heavenly Mountain Resort and Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski Resort.
From the entryway, head downstairs to a large and well-equipped game room. Designed with fun in mind, this space includes a pool table, pull out sofa, futon, wet bar with sink and refrigerator, and a 50-inch flat screen TV with cable. Friends and family alike will enjoy spending hours down here playing games of pool, socializing, or just hanging out in groups. A stone veneer gas fireplace will keep the environment warm and toasty while you enjoy this great room! Sliding glass doors lead to a back deck so you can easily take the group outside for some fresh mountain air.
Also on this level are two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed and flat screen TV. Nicely decorated with prints by Navajo artist RC Gorman on the wall, stylish wooden furniture, and plush carpets to keep your feet warm. These rooms are quite cozy. The first of three full bathrooms is also located in this section of the house.
Upstairs, you will find the bulk of the living space, including an open living room, dining room, and kitchen. A big sectional sofa has a spot for everyone around the coffee table and offers prime 50-inch flat screen TV viewing. A DVD player with surround sound provides hours of entertainment and the gas fireplace and slanted, wood beam ceilings give the space a spacious yet cozy ambiance. From planning the next day's excursions to a lively board game, your group will enjoy spending time surrounded by the lodge-like furnishings.
From the living room, sliding glass doors lead out to the deck and hot tub. After a long day on the slopes, you can come back to your mountain oasis and relax under a canopy of surrounding pine trees. You might even do a little stargazing up at the clear Lake Tahoe sky. The deck also has a gas grill for afternoon burger cookouts with the family or grilled steak dinners after a day of hitting the bike trails.
Back inside, the dining room table has seating for eight and has a great views of the tree-filled yard. Extra seating is right at the breakfast bar so kids have have their own space if they would like. The bright, updated kitchen has shiny granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, gadgets, and servingware for memorable vacation meals. There's a lot of counter space for making pies, assembling sandwiches, and creating hearty stews that will be sure to please a crowd.
Upstairs, you'll also find three more bedrooms and two bathrooms. The lucky inhabitants of the master suite can enjoy a comfortable king bed with mission-style headboard, a gas fireplace, and flat screen TV. The master bath has a large tub that shares the bedroom's fireplace for the ultimate in relaxing soaks. Also included in this wonderful bathroom is a walk-in shower and steam room.
The other two bedrooms each have queen beds, comfortable bedding, and lovely wooden furniture. The third full bathroom is easily shared between these bedrooms and has a large walk-in shower. A washer and dryer are also available for guest use so you can play as hard as you want while out exploring the area and still have clean clothes.
If you can tear yourself away from the house, you'll discover all of South Lake Tahoe around you! With a quiet neighborhood location right near the meadows and woodlands of Washoe Meadows State Park, you'll want to take a day and explore this hidden gem. As an undeveloped park, it's used mostly by the locals for running, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, but definitely worth a peek.
The town of South Lake Tahoe lies just seven miles north. There you'll find galleries, shopping, entertainment and restaurants for every taste. The lake itself offers fishing, boating, and beaches galore. In winter, it'd be hard to find a better home base! It's just under 8 miles north to Heavenly Mountain Resort and about 10-1/2 south miles to Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski Resort. Sandwiched between these two world-class resorts, it'll be hard to pick which direction to head in the morning. No matter which resort you choose, you'll definitely look forward to returning to your Dreamcatcher Lodge for a relaxing Tahoe evening with friends!
