We own & self-manage two beautiful vacation rental properties in Maui. If your dates are not available, or if you would like to stay in both South & West Maui, please check-out our fully remodeled south Kihei property with an amazing ocean & sunset view, 200 feet from the beautiful Maui Kamaole III beach at http:/www.vrbo.com/422954.

Our Aina-Nalu unit K205 is a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo with stylish interior finishes, vaulted ceiling, skylights, open full-kitchen, natural stone tile shower, granite countertops, our own secured free WiFi high speed internet, Cable TV, 2 32-inch flat screen TVs (in the bedroom and the living room), in-suite washer & dryer for your convenience, 2 air conditioning units, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, linens, towels, Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, deluxe beach towels, boogie board, all utilities and everything you need for a fantastic & relaxing vacation. Located on the second floor, away from the 2-lane highway (Honoapiilani Hwy) going by Lahaina, no noise from above or from the road. You will be able to enjoy peace & quite and have many good nights' sleep in the comfy King bed. The following amenities are free of charge for our guests:

After a day of exploring the island, it's a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy the warm Hawaiian air.

About Matt & Shu

Matt and Shu ('Sue') live in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy the warm and sunny Maui weather as a break from the cloudy weather back home. We're both software geeks. We're avid hikers and snokelers, so if you are looking for great places to hike or snorkel in Maui let us know. We've worked very hard on our condo, keep it clean and well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Maui.

Since 2007, we have been coming to Maui several times a year and find ourselves splitting time between south Maui (Kihei/Wailea) and West Maui (Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili) every time. In 2012, we were very fortunate to own an amazing ocean view property in south Kihei (VRBO 422954). In August 2013, we were blessed to own this beautiful unit in the unbeatable location Aina-Nalu offers - in the heart of historical Lahaina, walk to Lahaina Harbor, restaurants, shops, activities, etc.

By offering these beautiful properties to you as our guest, we hope you will enjoy them as home away from home and create fond memories.

What makes this condo unique

Historic Lahaina downtown was a stone's throw away. Restaurants, bars, shops, Banyan Tree Park, Lahaina Harbor and activities are within a short walking distance. It is also only 5-20 minutes drive from many great beaches in Kanaapali, Napili, Kihei and Wailea.

Nice condo, but really noisy

The condo was comfy and had everything we wanted, but the timing of our stay was unfortunate... Lots of parking lot construction, landscaping (loud and early), pest control and very thin walls. The condo rates went up coinciding with the holidays, but also with jackhammers at dawn. Definitely would have chosen to stay elsewhere had we known as this was not a restful vacation for us with all of the repairs going on and loud neighbors. Lots of families with kids so if you have kids this is probably a good place for you. No cleaning or restocking services either during our stay. Conveniently located. Paying for parking ($20/day!) was a drag considering the lot was empty most of the time, and really should be part of the nightly rate. No easy parking around the resort, so be forewarned.

Perfect for our Maui Stay

My husband and I loved Maui and our stay at Aina Nalu. The condo was an ideal location to see the sights of Lahaina, with restaurants and shops an easy walk away. It also served as a great home spot for our island exploring. The condo itself was perfect for the two of us with plenty of room, and equipped with all the necessities to make our stay comfortable. The washer and dryer were great to keep up with laundry, and the king size bed provided a good nights sleep after busy, busy days. Although we were busy seeing the sights of Maui, and didn't have much time to enjoy the pool, it was a beauty! The owners were great to work with and provided timely responses. They also provided great tips for our Maui stay. We would highly recommend this unit and would definitely stay again!

Lacking!

Pros: The rental was big enough for 3. Close to everything in Lahaina. Very quiet.
Cons: 1)The mattress on the sofa bed in the living room is thin and very uncomfortable. I placed the sofa cushions on the mattress to sleep. 2) Only 2 bath towels. There should have been extra towels. Maybe 6 for 3 adults. 3) A little extra provided by owner (at a small cost) would go a long way such as coffee, cream, and sweeteners. 4) $20 parking a day is outrageous! There is all night outside parking up the street for $12.

Owner's Response: We are sorry that Luis's stay is not as positive as many of our other guests. We have investigated and resolved these issues (see details below). We understand our guests' Maui vacations are precious, we work hard to keep our property clean and well stocked for our guests to enjoy their Maui stay. We appreciate our guest's feedback and take steps to fix any issue as soon as they are bought to our attention.

In our welcoming letter, we informed our guests that we have a quality guarantee, if they found any cleaning or supply issue, and let us know within 24 hours of arrival, we will fix the issue at no additional charge to our guest. Unfortunately, we only learn of Luis's issues after their departure. We wish they had let us know right away so we had a chance to fix the issues and to improve their experience.

We reiterated to our cleaning company that the cleaning contract is to have 4 sets of towels and beach towels ready for our guest. In this case, the previous guest stayed past their check-out time, the cleaning company did not have enough time to do the laundry, so "I only leave one set out this time." without checking with us first. We have given them notice not to do this again.

The on-site parking fee applies to all guests of Aina Nalu complex, it is out of our control, we have done our best to explain the situation and provide reasonable alternatives to our guests ahead of time. As you can see in the feedback of our other guests, many of them were able to find free parking per our suggestion.

It was a beautiful home and very quite! The only thing that I didn't like was having to pay $20 a day for parking... I would definitely recommend this place for older couples and family's.. your very close to downtown and have many great places to eat right across the street

amazing, beautiful, convenient

My husband and I visited Maui for his bday and love Aina Nalu and Lahaina. This condo was awesome - super clean, comfy with lots of room, top floor so lots of natural light and super close to everything - lahaina grill, baby beach, yoga and of course the most epic pool ever. will definitely be back.

Perfect base

Stayed in this apartment for 6 nights and it was great! Ideal location to allow you to explore Lahaina without the need for a car (though I did have a car). Restaurants and shops all just a short walk away. The apartment itself was very clean and well looked after, loved the shower and the Tommy Bahama beach chairs were a nice touch. I didn't notice any road noise.
Overall I would recommend this apartment to anyone not looking for the big resort experience and just wanting a nice 'home base' to explore from with the added convenience of being able to walk back from the restaurant or bar at night.
