Our Aina-Nalu unit K205 is a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo with stylish interior finishes, vaulted ceiling, skylights, open full-kitchen, natural stone tile shower, granite countertops, our own secured free WiFi high speed internet, Cable TV, 2 32-inch flat screen TVs (in the bedroom and the living room), in-suite washer & dryer for your convenience, 2 air conditioning units, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, linens, towels, Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs, deluxe beach towels, boogie board, all utilities and everything you need for a fantastic & relaxing vacation. Located on the second floor, away from the 2-lane highway (Honoapiilani Hwy) going by Lahaina, no noise from above or from the road. Matt and Shu ('Sue') live in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy the warm and sunny Maui weather as a break from the cloudy weather back home. We're both software geeks. We're avid hikers and snokelers, so if you are looking for great places to hike or snorkel in Maui let us know. Since 2007, we have been coming to Maui several times a year and find ourselves splitting time between south Maui (Kihei/Wailea) and West Maui (Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili) every time. In 2012, we were very fortunate to own an amazing ocean view property in south Kihei (VRBO 422954). In August 2013, we were blessed to own this beautiful unit in the unbeatable location Aina-Nalu offers - in the heart of historical Lahaina, walk to Lahaina Harbor, restaurants, shops, activities, etc.

By offering these beautiful properties to you as our guest, we hope you will enjoy them as home away from home and create fond memories.

What makes this condo unique

Historic Lahaina downtown was a stone's throw away. Restaurants, bars, shops, Banyan Tree Park, Lahaina Harbor and activities are within a short walking distance. It is also only 5-20 minutes drive from many great beaches in Kanaapali, Napili, Kihei and Wailea.

Great place

We stayed in Unit K 205 from June 15-22nd and were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the condo. This is a great, clean, modern and easily accessible condo only two blocks from Front Street. There is a grocery store (Food land) 3 blocks away. The owners were quick to respond to my inquiries, the booking process was flawless and quick. Instructions were sent via email on how to access property and the rules. Full kitchen was a blessing; we stopped at Costco and made almost all our meals at the condo. Everything that you could need is available. Condo had two coolers, beach chairs, towels, body board and washer & dryer. We did not have to buy any of this stuff as we usually do and then are unable to bring it back with us. We did not pay to park and were able to find parking on the street. We highly recommend it and we will definitely stay here again.

Excellent condo

My husband and I have never before rented a condo. We have always stayed in hotels, but our experience was great. I would totally recommend this property. Everything was clean and what I thought it would be visually. The owners have answered any concerns that we have had. We like that we can walk to town and not have to drive to dinner or have a drink.

Fabulous!

We totally enjoyed this condominium and it's location! Very quiet and peaceful. The condo was well-equipped and clean. The atmosphere of the resort was one of total relaxation. It's proximity to Lahaina was superb. Walking at night to Lahaina was safe and a mere 5 minutes. There is a beautiful beach "Baby Beach" within walking distance of the condo and it is comparable to all others on the island. We enjoyed our stay of sunshine and warm hospitality and will definitely will spend our precious holiday $ renting this condo again!

Perfect Location!

We enjoyed our stay in this perfectly located unit. We walked to the beach, dining and shopping. The pools are great for relaxing close to home. The unit has everything you need. I agree with other reviewers that $20 a night for parking is outrageous. You would think that owners would be entitled to at least one parking space. I managed to find space on the street every night, but it took some doing. The unit itself is a great value with a washer/dryer, air conditioning, top floor location (so it's quiet), everything you need for cooking and eating in, beach accessories, a beautiful bathroom, TV's in the bedroom and living room and a king size bed. We look forward to staying in this unit again. Oh, by the way, the owners are great to work with.
P.S. Our best dinner was at Pacific O in the 505 Front Street Building. Absolutely fabulous food and a beautiful sunset.

Near Perfect North Maui Getaway

This unit is part of the Aina Nalu (Outrigger) resort in Lahaina, in between the main highway (no highway noise) and Front Street (location of most of the shops/restaurants/bars). This makes it ideal for those intending to stay in the Lahaina area. For those with a car, its very convenient to Kaanapali and Kapalua to the north (10-15 minutes), the airport in Kahului (25 minutes usually) and most of the island. Weilea is a bit of a drive.

The unit was very well stocked for the beach (beach chairs, towels, boogie board). For those staying for more than a few days, we highly recommend the Costco right next to the airport for supplies, as the regular grocery stores can be pricey. The bed was very comfortable and the 2 air conditioning units cooled the unit quickly (tip: leave them off at night, they do make a considerable amount of noise).

Our only complaint was a small one, and that was parking. The resort charges $20 a day (all or nothing for every day of your stay). Street parking is generally available, though can be very hard to come by after about 7pm. A few overnight parking lots are available within a block of the hotel for $10-15 per night, for those nights you fail to find street parking. It would have been more convenient to simply add the $20 into the rental fee and list as a perk of the rental.
