Overview

Bainbridge Island House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom, Contemporary, Low Bank Waterfront Beach House

Welcome! This beautiful contemporary beach house is located on Agate Pass at the north end of Bainbridge Island. At high tide the low-bank waterfront home gives you a feeling of being at anchor. Enjoy expansive views from almost every room. Relax while watching the maritime traffic passing by. The waterfront is teeming with life. Blue herons stake out their territories along the water's edge to fish. Enjoy the osprey and kingfishers. Exploring the beach will bring out the kid in everyone. Hermit crabs, small fish, live sand dollars, sea glass, and squirting horse clams are all just steps away. The house sits on 1/2 acre with nearly 300 feet of waterfront. At low tide you can enjoy long walks on the beach.

There are 4 bedrooms. The master is on the main level with it's own bathroom. Also on this level is a 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds and a full bathroom next to it. The lower level has 2 bedrooms. A 3rd bathroom is on the lower level.

The well appointed kitchen has a gas stovetop, 2 ovens, new dishwasher and new refrigerator. The pantry is stocked with essentials. The deck off the kitchen and dining room has a gas grill and a dining table with views of the water.

About Trish

We are a water loving family of 4. We divide our time between Alaska and Bainbridge Island.

Trish purchased this house in 2011

Why Trish chose Bainbridge Island

While living and working in the Seattle area for many years, we often dreamed of having a place on the island. It's close enough to the city to enjoy the things Seattle has to offer but feels like a world away when you get back home.

What makes this house unique

The first time we stepped into the house it was high tide. We felt an immediate tug at our hearts. It was if we were at anchor on our boat. Watching the maritime traffic out the windows or from the decks continues to be one of our favorite draws. The beachfront is ever changing with the tides. Blue herons, osprey, king fishers are busy. There are always fun things to discover on low tide beach walks. Be careful not to step on the live sand dollars!

Beautiful spot - beautiful house!!!

  • 5 of 5

We can't say enough good things about our stay at this stunning spot. The house is lovely, comfortable and very well equipped. And the views are just magnificent. Every evening we were treated to a technicolor display as the water changed color with the setting sun - which we could watch from a choice of decks or rooms in the house. The setting was private and quiet. And the beach was right there. It was the perfect spot for an anniversary get away.

Beautiful home for a week in September

  • 5 of 5

This was the most beautiful house I've ever stayed in, five nights was not enough! The kitchen was very well equipped for all sorts of cooking. The bathrooms were beautiful, the slate(?) floors very warm on chilly mornings. The owners were accommodating and easy to communicate with. I worried a bit about the septic system maxing out at the house, but we had no problems with it at all. We took walks on the beach every morning at low tide and found a variety of sea life. Everything was well described, and I would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and were happy with the kitchen! We do send out a reminder to all of our guests to be aware there is a septic system and to be mindful of how they treat it. Thank you so much and we really hope to see you back in the future.

Fun, Busy Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Four couples from 3 states loved this beutiful home right on the water! Lots of large windows made it feels like your on the water when the tide's in. We combed the beach when the tide was low and found some cool sea creatures! Paddle boarded a little in the cool water and sat on the deck all the time! Did a lot of sightseeing all over even in Canada. Good times.

The only small problem was we could not find a coffee grinder for the coffee beans we brought or a spatula (other than the large grill spatula) for the non-stick pans. But this house has great equipment in a wonderful kitchen and we managed our cooking quite well!

It was hard to leave, and we hope to return someday.

The 4 couples.

Friends Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We chose this beautiful home for a 3-day, 25 year reunion with Seattle friends. Everything about our stay was perfect, from communication with the owner, to the complete kitchen we needed for cooking, to the water views, to the confortable sleeping arrangements. We loved the architecture of the home, inside and out. Can't wait to return!

Accurate title

  • 4 of 5

Nice property, all is as was described on web site, accurate details in communications made the stay easy and problem free.

Bonuses were multiple large beds to accommodate large family, spacious living area, beautiful views. Lots of board games.

Disappointments were a single tv with a small couch in such a large home. The family could not gather to watch a movie. Basic kitchen utensils were difficult to find - too many drawers and cabinets! (Who would ever think that was a problem :) no non stick cookware!

I fully recommend this house.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! I'm happy your family enjoyed their time at the beach house. As shown in the photos, there is just the one couch in the TV area. We often pull another chair in if we have more than our family of four. We will add another permanent chair as soon as we can. As for the kitchen - you are correct! It is spacious and has many drawers. My husband is a fabulous cook so we have tried to stock it well and continue to add to the equipment list. I'm sorry you missed the non-stick pans (there are 4 drawers of pans next to the gas range.) There is an entire set of non-stick pans. Alex (my food and health obsessed husband) has supplied a very eco/advanced non-stick Thermolon coated brand. They look different from the old style non-stick. Perhaps that is why you missed them.

Great house with a view

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion/birthday celebration in this house. The house has an open floor plan with plenty of light and a beautiful view of the water. The rooms are clean, big and comfortable. The kitchen is well supply and inviting. My two kids enjoyed walking on the beach finding the different little creatures that live there. We had a great time, wished we could stay longer. I will recommend this house to anybody that is looking for a good relaxing vacation place that is not to far from the city.
