Cool old building. Apartment was super uncomfortable. After walking around Seattle all day there was no comfortable place to sit. The futon (sleeper) was unusable. The bed also needs to be replaced. If those two things were replaced I would stay there again. As it is we had to leave early because we couldn't take it anymore.

Owner's Response: I have cleaned the room 100 times and every time i make that bed I think I would like a much softer bed. The apartment has rented for a year and half and I have 198 reviews on Airbnb. No one said a word! Because i think you are probably right. The bed was changed out today. I would like to thank you for the comment. Darcy

Great City Vibe!

  • 5 of 5

The history of this building is amazing and the rooms fit right in with the age of the building (in a good way). We chose to stay here for the convenient location and the fact it is within walking distance of many places to enjoy a Saturday night in the city. The bar staff, as well as the owner Darcy, were very friendly and accommodating. As noted by another, the fried cheese curds are fantastic and so were the hot wings. We learned not to park in the sinking ship parking lot across the street, but rather in the parking garage on the other side of it. It was $13 all night instead of $40 plus an $80 ticket even though we had paid. The garage is also locked after 2am so it was nice to know our vehicle was a little more secure over night. We will definitely be back!

Never a dull moment

I booked the apartment to enjoy a weekend alone with my own company. The apartment was clean, conveniently located and had a that awesome vintage vibe going on. I received excellent service from the time I checked in to the time I checked out. The staff in the bar below provided excellent service. Darcy the owner was friendly and accomodating. If you visit the bar downstairs, I would recommend trying the deep fried cheese curds ( I thought it sounded weird, but went out on a limb, so glad i did. DELICIOUS!) The grilled cheese sandwich is also quite tasty. I would NOT recommend this place to families with small children or people who aren't fond of city life. I didnt think the music was too loud from the nightclub next door, it was more like a low hum but there is definitely alot happening in the area. I will definitely be returning and have already recommended to friends .Absolutely enjoyed my stay here. So much fun!

Great Spot!

  • 5 of 5

This place was great. It had a vintage vibe going that was straight out of the past. From the plush carpet on the floor, to the purple velvet chair, to the antique looking furniture and brick walls, it was like living in the hey-dey of Pioneer Square. It was close (in) down town, near to the waterfront and a whole list of activities and restaurants. We showed up a little early and the room wasn't ready, but the barkeep offered to watch our stuff for us while we walked two blocks to the Beneath the Streets tour (also highly recommended). We got back and had a drink at the cafe/saloon (the oldest operating restaurant/bar in Pioneer Square), complete with a cool ghost story from the bartender. Darcy, the owner, was easy to communicate with and very accepting/helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

The place is so fun, cute and historical but everything was clean and convenient. The owner is amazing, kept in great contact, and the guys at the bar were there if we ever needed anything. Parking was no problem and location was close to everything. There is a club next door but the music or people never bothered us. One tip for summer visitors, if it's hot and you want the window open it WILL be very noisy, so just bring earplugs.
