Our little piece of paradise

With the most consistent (320-plus days of sunshine) weather in all the Hawaiian islands on the incomparable Kohala Coast, the Mauna Lani Resort is incredibly beautiful and well known as a Hawaiian cultural and historical center. The Mauna Lanai’s two world-class golf courses, top resorts, spas, and incredible beaches await you.

We are adjacent to the complex's huge swimming pool (including a one-foot-deep wading pool for young children), lava rock waterfall, hot tub, and fitness center. In addition we offer access to Mauna Lani Resort's private Beach Club. The Mauna Lani Beach Club is on a protected bay with white sand and coconut palms. Great place to relax for an afternoon enjoying a good book, snorkeling or dining at the Beach Club Restaurant and bar. Don’t miss the peaceful walk along beautifully restored Hawaiian fish ponds.

We are walking distance from The Shops at Mauna Lani with Tommy Bahamas Restaurant, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Juice 101, Just Tacos, Kimobean Hawaiian Coffee, Foodland Farms grocery store and many more!

This spacious 1290 sq. ft. unit greets you with a soaring 20-foot ceiling in its comfortable great room, fully furnished with a 42-inch flat screen TV. The stainless steel kitchen with granite countertops is fully stocked plus there is a washer and dryer for your convenience. The private shady lanai has a Viking built-in barbecue and bar sink.

Upstairs master suite has a king bed, downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. Having the bedrooms on separate floors allows maximum privacy. Upstairs master has an enormous bathroom; 2 sinks, jetted tub, and separate walk in shower. Both bedrooms have flat screen TV”s and are situated away from main living area. Main floor has a full bath too.

Keep your vehicle out of the sun in our attached garage while you explore the Mauna Lani resort on his and hers cruiser bikes. We also have pool toys, beach chairs, coolers and umbrellas for your enjoyment.

The Villa is only minutes to six award winning golf courses and the best beaches in Hawaii. It is a five minute drive to the Waikoloa Beach Resort; The Kings Shop's which includes upscale shopping and restaurants, and Queens Marketplace - a family friendly shopping, dining and entertainment complex.

About Bev and Bob

We are a retired couple from Alberta, Canada who first fell in love with the Big Island in 2001, when we were here on a John Deere reward trip. Now, we share the paradise with our (lucky!) grandchildren and their parents.

Why Bev and Bob chose Mauna Lani

After exploring other Hawaiian islands, we kept coming back here to the Kohala Coast. We are now happy to be the proud owners of a little piece of this paradise! We had a list of requirements when looking for a property and the Fairways at Mauna Lani checked off the most. No neighbors above or below, our own grill, garage, newer build and a beautiful pool were just a few.

Bev & Bob, had a great time & saw most of the west, south & North sides. Magic Sands is great for boogie boarding. The next beach south was very good for snorkelling. A wave tore the wrist lanyard out of the boogie board & had it replaced at Snorkel Bob's. Would highly recommend your place to ANYONE!

My husband & I stayed in this condo in November and give it two thumbs up. Beautiful property & very well equipped. We appreciated the great condition of this rental...like new! The property at Mauna Lani is one of our favorites on the island. We especially enjoyed the use of their bikes & recommend a bike ride through Puako via the coastal trail. Another favorite from our trip was the Japanese steakhouse, Norio's @ the Fairmount Orchid. We thought the meals beat any other in the neighborhood! If you are still looking for a good reason to pick this condo, I will add that having access to the Beach Club is quite a perk. And the owners are most helpful...if you do need anything at all!

My wife and I stayed at this very well maintained unit for two weeks. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners on this trip and they were so nice and accommodating to make our stay enjoyable. The unit is situated close to all the resort amenities, pool, gym, and a short distance to the shopping centre. We found the unit well equipped for going to the beach and a relaxing home to come back to in the evening. We would recommend this unit to friends and family with no hesitation. Convenient location without the crowds

This spacious and tastefully decorated 2 BR/2BA townhome worked out fabulously for my family of 4 (two daughters, ages 17 & 12). Our week stay began a couple of days after Hurricanes Iselle & Julio; fortunately, there was no impact to the Kona side of the island. The owner, Bev, was great at keeping us apprised of the local conditions via a year-round Fairways resident who she uses as your local contact and concierge. Both were also readily available for questions and suggestions throughout our stay.

Hard to imagine a better location or value and there is no compromising on resort amenities - large pool, private Beach Club with byo or dining options plus home conveniences (kitchen/bbq, laundry, beach gear, etc.). Our girls had their privacy in the downstairs bedroom whereas we had ours upstairs, and loved that it was a corner unit (we never heard any noise from other units; overall gated complex is quiet, including the nearby pool). My husband, who likes to garden, was amazed at the gorgeous landscaping and could appreciate the unbelievable amount of work that must go into keeping the grounds so well maintained.

No ocean view, but no problem as the Fairmont is a short walk/drive for a morning or sunset stroll along the shoreline trail to the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel where you have an expansive ocean view south to the Beach Club (plus additional shoreline & inland trail options including those through the historic fishponds). The Shops of Mauna Lani are also within walking distance - great grocery store to shop or get prepared deli options plus outstanding free entertainment (besides the twice weekly not-to-be-missed Polynesian shows, they recently started a Tuesday culinary event which I heard was great). On our one rainy evening, I took our younger daughter to the 4D Adventure Ride theater in The Shops (viewed 3 short movies that are shown on demand; free show between 5-6 p.m. & 2-for-1 coupon). The Waikoloa Queens & Kings Shops are close by for more shopping, dining and entertainment options (free John Keawe slack key guitar concert.) If your stay is over a Saturday closest to a rising full moon, don’t miss Twilight at Kalahuipua‘a at Eva Parker Woods Cottage! (Bring a picnic & park at the Beach Club before the gates are open to the public at 5 p.m.)

Loved the Kohala Coast area & would highly recommend except note that August was hot! Perfect for beach-time but the day-time heat prevented use of the lanais as well as the bikes, and made AC a necessity.

Beautiful Property

Not only was this condo beautiful along with all the perks such as the pool and beach club, the owners of this condo are just wonderful. The pool access is right outside the lanai. It was like our own personal pool and sauna. The access to the beach club was amazing. The condo had everything you needed... Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, tv, water gear for the pool and beach, bikes... everything! Plus it's very close to the grocery store. We really didn't need to go far to get anything we wanted. The free polynesian show on Thursdays in front of Foodlands was a great site. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a bit of paradise. Truly amazing. I want to go back!!

Great rental

This rental helped make our stay on the Kohala Coast very enjoyable. It was very clean and comfortable with every amenity available that was needed plus some. We especially enjoyed using the bikes to tour around and go down to the store. We also liked the very private, shaded patio with the barbeque and sink. and the privacy of the bedrooms on two different levels. Would definitely recommend this unit to my friends and family.

Thanks for sharing your Piece of Paradise

This was our second stay in this area on The Big Island. Love it here! This time we brought our family and they also loved it--a lot! The condo is absolutely perfect. Kitchen is well equipped and the outdoor kitchen is great. The shaded lanai is beautiful and relaxing. Everything we needed from kids toys to pool toys to coolers was there. The pool area is gorgeous and our family used it lots. The private beach is perfect for snorkelling and watching the turtles. The area is so very quiet. Even though it was our second time here we still have more adventuring to do. There are so many beautiful beaches and parks left to see. We'll definitely be returning. Thanks for helping us have a perfect holiday!
