The El Ranchito Del Rio Grande has been part of our family operated orchards for nearly a century, with many fruit trees that bear and grow everything from apples, pears, peaches and cherries, it a delightful piece of land where we have been inviting people to visit for years to come and fish, swim, or raft the Rio grande River and its class 3-5 waters. I am one of the three Carl Berghofer's who live in the Rinconada Valley. My Grand Father has been taking care of this place for most of his life and still lives on the neighboring property. He is a retired Game and Fish Warden from the State, and has many insights into fishing and hunting in the region.

My father too lives on an adjacent property and has been part of the Dixon Fire Department since retiring from the State.

Because I spent every weekend from school helping my family grow orchard trees and preserving the beauty that is part of Rinconada I decided to buy this property next to my Grand Father from a Alamosa CO business man who recently turn 100 years old. The quiet NM living and green chili's are tribute to his age.

I am current a firefighter in Schertz TX (San Antonio) and my wife is a teacher. We have four kids and after they live to college we plan to retire in NM, because of its beauty and tranquility.

My late Aunt lived on this property for several years and now I want you to enjoy the tranquility of the Rinconada Valley.

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, river access and swimming in the Rio Grande, and many historic attractions and scenic drives to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and Ski Basins through out the year.

I am considering renting this beautiful property for my sister's wedding. The owner, Carl and his family have gone above and beyond to help us in any way possible. They have done everything they can to help us achieve our dream wedding. I truly feel like I am a part of their family and that this land is our land. This is true New Mexico spirit.
