Charming cottage in the North of Madrid

Los Portales are three rural houses which were totally renovated in 2006, using the original stonework. All the accommodations include 2 double rooms, bathroom and 2 WCs, a complete kitchen with a microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, toaster, coffee machine and kitchen utensils, a lounge-dining room with a sofa bed and fireplace in one and a barbecue in the other.

In the village of Garganta de los Montes, you can visit the 15th century church, the blacksmith´s, which is a typical construction of the area and once used to shoe horses, noteworthy for the way it has been preserved. Also, the monolith to Peace, which was erected by a Japanese delegation as being an exemplary village for Peace and Solidarity; the village Chapel (which is reached by going through some beautiful mountain scenery, but which is very near the village); the Matafrailes; the village dam, which is close to the Chapel....
