PERFECT APARTMENT AND LOCATION!

  • 5 of 5
This is a meticulously maintained and spacious rental in Marquette. We've stayed at a number of locations in the area and this is by far the best. This was our second time staying at this apartment and both times it has been very clean, nicely appointed and the owners are ready to help in any way they can. The location can't be beat as you are within walking distance of everything Marquette has to offer. Highly recommended and we will definitely be staying here in the future!

A GEM

What a comfortable and attractive apartment! We were delighted with how spacious and clean everything was. We've used many vacation rentals over the years but this had the cleanest and best equipped kitchen by far!

QUAINT AND COZY

  • 5 of 5
Our family of four ventured to Marquette for our first family ski trip. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival as the photos didn't do justice for this lovely flat. Nicely decorated and CLEAN! The location is perfect walking distance for restaurants, shopping, and the "party store" (we call it a liquor store). We are looking forward to another trip soon- next time for a summer adventure. We hope anyone considering a trip to Marquette finds this awesome place. You won't be disappointed!

BEAUTIFUL HOME AND VERY ACCOMMODATING HOSTS!

  • 5 of 5
We rented the property for our brewery team to stay during the Michigan Brewers Guild UP Beer Festival. This home exceeded all expectations! Scot and his family live right across the alley and were very gracious hosts and genuinely warm and inviting to our staff.
The only thing they could have used, considering the late nights and early mornings, was some coffee for the coffee pot. ;)
The price was right; the location was perfect (close enough to downtown and the festival grounds, yet far enough to feel relaxing); the home was beautiful.
We would gladly stay here again in the future!

Owner's Response: We figured you guys would drink some of your delicious brew for breakfast :) Next time you come, bring me a six pack of your IPA and I'll swap it out for some fresh ground coffee.
Thanks for the kind words Jon, glad you guys enjoyed your stay.

COZY PLACE IN THE HEART OF MARQUETTE

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I try to come up to Marquette every summer for a short vacation and normally stay in hotels. We were very fortunate to have found Scot's wonderfully renovated victorian home for nearly the same price, but immensely nicer. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of town. Within a block of numerous restaurants, bars, shopping, and a grocery store. During our stay, there was even live music on the street, which we enjoyed right from the front porch. The place was very clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. Parking was easy. Scot was always promptly available by phone with any questions and concerns we had. We will definitely be booking another stay next time we are town!

CHARMING AND HOMEY

  • 5 of 5
My boyfriend's parents, the boyfriend and I were all planning on heading to Marquette to see my family. I had made a reservation months in advance, because I know how booked it gets in the peak summer months. Two days before our reservation, I got an email from the property owners saying the basement had flooded, and we had no place to stay! Fortunately for us, this property had JUST been listed on VRBO. I emailed Scot explaining the situation, and he called me 10 minutes later.

The property is an upstairs apartment in a beautifully restored Victorian. They have clearly put a lot of time and love into restoring the beautiful original hardwood floors and antique details, from the thermostat to the light fixtures. It is light, airy, and they've done a great job decorating to make it comfortable and attractive. The location is perfect -- as someone who went to college in Marquette, it's at the heart of many of my best memories. There are great restaurants within walking distance, and the Lake is less than a mile away.

The owners are incredibly helpful and responsive. What seemed like a disaster when we first got the cancellation turned into a perfect visit! I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Marquette.
