A dream home, located on the north side of the island of S. Miguel conveniently situated near the SCUT which makes all kinds of tours and discoveries easily accessible by car. Close to everything, once it is centered on the island. In the middle of a paradisiac field, in the vicinity of a working farm and with the proximity of the village and the sea.

Recently remodeled the house of volcanic rocks (traditional build) is at its best. It was erected in basalt by a landowner in a place of great beauty, that has been preserved until today. It has a beautiful sea view, which extends west to the tip of the island, providing magnificent sunsets, and also an insight into the mountain, which contains the beautiful Lake of Fire.

It is 4km away from the city of Ribeira Grande in a place called Ribeirinha.

Even before my wife and I had arrived, Antonio, the owner, made us feel right at home. All of his advice on what to do, where to go, where to eat, etc., were very accurate and helpful. The cottage is rustic but well up-dated and maintained. It is in a strategic spot for touring the entire island. We highly recommend this cottage with the beautiful views of mountain and sea. It was really a pleasure to arrive on Sao Miguel and enjoy a stay in this lovely restored house close to Ribeira Grande - its central location gives endless possibilities of trips all around the island, and the cottage itself is in a great shape, well restored, in a rural tranquil location and with electric heaters available for those who prefer warmer evenings :-). Antonio, the owner, is extremely helpful, with a lot of advices and expert local knowledge. Highly recommended!!
