This 2 Bedroom Bungalow Sleeps 4!

This newly remodeled front bungalow was relocated here from down the street in the 1950's. It is sustainably remodeled with locally sourced reclaimed wide plank floors, pebble bathroom/shower floors and plastered walls in the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen contains a stainless steel stove and side by side refrigerator, Viking dishwasher and reclaimed wood island for prepping and eating your meals. The bedrooms are located in the rear of the house. Both have ample storage space. This bungalow features a vaulted, open beamed grand room that encompasses the kitchen, eating area and living room. It looks out onto a grassy yard and it's own patio with table and chairs. The front garden of lavender and olive trees is your morning view. On 9th Street you'll find friendly neighbors out for a walk or a jog. You are right around the corner from many local boutiques, coffee and yogurt shops, restaurants. End your evening with a stroll and take in the fresh ocean air. One parking spot comes with your rental.

The is a refreshing pool in the back yard that is shared with the one bedroom bungalow behind. Ask us about renting both bungalows so you can have your own 'compound'.

This property is unique to all of Santa Monica. These two beach bungalows are one of the few private 1920 properties with a private pool for swimming and lounging around on a lazy summer day with a book. As an architect, the owner saw the potential to restore these bungalows in an open, clean, light filled, simple, colorful and modern genre.

There aren't any hotels on Montana Avenue, but there is the best place to stay in town just half a block away. These 2 pool bungalows are within walking distance to Montana Avenue, the 3rd Street Promenade & the ocean! It doesn't get any better than that.

BUNGALOW CHARM

You cannot ask for a better set up. Right in the heart of Santa Monica--one block off Montana!
We had an amazing time--great location for restaurants, pier etc and day trips to Malibu and beyond.
Lisa is beyond helpful (even offering to assist with our luggage)! The bungalow has been beautifully redone. We will always stay here from now on any time our travels bring us to lovely Santa Monica.

AMAZING VACATION!

This place is amazing - even better than it looks from the VRBO pics. We loved every second of our vacation. I've traveled all around the world and this is one of my favorite vacations I've ever taken. The location is perfect, the house is a charmer, the weather is unbeatable, and there is an amazing amount to do without leaving the west side! Plus you have Lisa, the property manager, as your guide! She went the extra mile by sending emails with suggestions and always promptly responding to questions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

WONDERFUL PROPERTY

Just back from a week in the LA area where we had a fabulous time. Our home away from home was just perfect for us (two adults and two teenage boys) The living space is set up terrifically, the beds were so comfortable and cozy, and the location is just perfect - close to shopping, restaurants, the beach, etc. no car necessary. We were really impressed with our welcome which wasn't until about 11:30 pm! Lisa had a bottle of wine, a plate of cheese and crackers and a pizza in the freezer to cook if we arrived starving, waiting for us. How incredibly thoughtful! She even stayed to give us some helpful hints on restaurants, run routes, etc. We really appreciated all the advice and assistance. By the way, the family meal takeout at Louise s Restaurant was incredible. Enough food for two dinners! All in all we couldn't have been happier with our choice - lovely accommodations and lovely people. Thanks.

A GREAT PLACE.

We stayed for a month in this property and loved it. The bungalow has recently been revamped by it's owner to create a comfortable, well thought out space with an eye for detail. The kitchen was fully fitted and had all we needed to cook and eat on a daily basis. The location is excellent, we never hired a car during our stay, we walked, cycled used the bus occasionally or taxis for any longer distances. Montana is a few minutes walk with all it's shops and a great coffee shop, Caffe Luxxe - who make a superb coffee. There are numerous great restaurants, coffee shops and a Whole Foods and Pavilion. Then there's a walk to the beach or Third Street Promenade or Santa Monica Pier. We have a two year old and found many great playgrounds within walking or cycling distance. There's a sweet little aquarium under the Santa Monica pier that's perfect for her age group. We cycled along the beach to the Sunday Farmer's Market on Main Street, with it's petting zoo and horse rides. We would cycle to Rose Avenue to our favorite restaurant, Cafe Gratitude, for the most delicious milkshakes and smoothies on earth! All in all we loved staying here and Lisa, the manager, was so helpful, approachable and thank her for everything she helped us with and we have already booked our next visit.

The Poolside Bungalows are located in the heart of Santa Monica. 9 blocks from the ocean and less than a block from Montana Avenue. Everything you could wish for in a city surrounds you. The house is located on a quaint neighborhood side street shaded by trees and blessed with an afternoon ocean breeze. Stroll up Montana Avenue and find everything you need on this boutique lined Street. Shops that offer you the latest in fashion design,

imported antiques , salon services and art house movie theatre. Did we mention two grocery stores? Pavilions is located just across the street and Whole Foods is up the street on Montana and 14th. There are also two wine & beer shops?

If you are into a more vibrant feel, walk to the 3rd Street Promenade. The new mall features a Tiffany's, For All Mankind, Bloomingdale's, BOSS Hugo Boss, CB2, Coach & James Perse and roof dining and courtyard entertainment. Don't miss the Kitson store located on the east side of the mall entry.

Everywhere you turn in Santa Monica there are restaurants with menus featuring food from all around the world. There is a Farmer's Market every Wednesday and Saturday where you can pick up California's best organic vegetables, fruit and fish.

Bike or walk to the beach. It is only 9 blocks away. Cross over one of the many bridges that bring you right down to the beach. No need to jump into your car. Enjoy an afternoon on the beach and in the ocean. When it's time to go you won't be stuck in traffic and you won't lose your car in a parking lot filled with rows of automobiles. Just walk home. On the bike path you can rent bikes and head to the famous Venice Beach for some t-shirts and people watching. Along the way you will ride under the Santa Monica Pier. Here you can fish, enjoy the rides or visit a children's museum. During the summer enjoy the free Thursday nights concerts. Pack your dinner, a blanket and enjoy the sunset and music with the rest of The Santa Monica Community.
