Far away from traffic the loudest sound you will hear are the jet boats as they cruise the Rogue River full of happy people on their way to a scenic boat ride and dinner. The deck overlooks the river where you can watch the river and all its wildlife or grill your favorite meal on the BBQ. If you want to get some sun you can lay by the in ground pool and hot tub. This pet friendly house has a huge fenced backyard to keep the critters happy and safe. There's a family room for TV and games and a Living room for quiet reading with a view of the river. The Large master bedroom has a master bath with tub and shower and a king size Sleep Number bed. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower. There is also a bathroom and shower just off the pool.
Just down the street is a large city park with a soccer field, modern playgound equipment, tennis courts and plenty of room for a private walk or picnic. Your children can walk to the park without crossing a city street.
My two sisters and I inherited this home from our father. We still like to get together there a few times a years. By making this a vacation rental we are hoping we can still have our time together and afford to keep and care for the house
Although this house is a little hard to find once you get here you will find quiet seclusion. You can bring your own groceries and spend a no stress few days away from the rat race or you can opt to see the sights around Grants Pass picnic at the park or wine and dine at some of the best
restaurants in southern Oregon.
We were there to see the osprey come back for spring and witness the geese pairing for their summer broods. I'm hoping to get back to see the babies following their parents up and down the river! Just another relaxing and peaceful time on the river; I left planning the next trip back. It won't be soon enough!
I rented this house for my birthday getaway. Though the house is dated, it was clean and a great place to rent. It is close enough to any activity that would want to do in the area. We went rafting, jet boat ride and wine tasting during our stay. All were within a 30 minute drive. There are also stores just down the street in case you need to pick up anything. I would definitely rent this house again.
We had a wonderful four days in this house on the Rogue River. It was like going back to the homes we grew up in when we were kids, so we enjoyed the decor and the lay-out of the house very much. There was plenty of room, with large bedrooms and bathrooms, 3 living areas, a very workable kitchen, lots of storage everywhere, and a wonderful deck overlooking the river. We ate at the large table on the deck every meal and watched the jet boats go by twice a day and the geese fly every evening. We loved watching the river and the access to the river. The pool and the hot tub were wonderful! We also enjoyed the large fenced yard and the grape and berry vines. The directions to the house were perfect, as was the access to the house. The owner, Mike, made the whole experience easy and a pleasure. There was definitely more room than we knew what to do with, so we decided to take more kids and grandkids with us next year. Yes, we would love to come back and stay again! There are many activities around, including the Oregon Caves and Crater Lake. We also went wine tasting one afternoon. It was a great 4 days, and our son and daughter-in-law enjoyed it, too. It was so nice to have all of the room! All of the linens and towel were great, too. We really felt at home. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Quiet, comfortable, spacious, perfect. Everything we look for in time away from the rat race of the week. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay another 10 days. Take my word for it and book more time than you think - you'll not want to leave.
A comfortable, restful, quiet retreat…. right on the beautiful Rogue River. The house was equipped with everything we needed. We felt right at home. Will spread the word and definitely book again!
We so enjoyed our visit! The house is spacious and older but the charm of it all is fantastic. It reminds me of my Grandma's place! There are many things to do or to do nothing at all if you prefer. We fished, river rafted, and even went on a drive to the Trees of Mystery! Morning coffee and evening night caps on the deck overlooking the river were amazing, just what the Dr. ordered. We would definitely return for another stay. Thank you Mike for everything!
