Omis Vacation Rental : Omis-Nemira

The apartment is very good and comfortable. There is air conditioned, which is very useful as in summer is very hot. The apartment is roomy and the furniture is brand new. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. From the balcony you can see a lovely panorama. Last but not least, the owner is very kind and hospitable.
I recommend it to everyone who wants to spend some days in this wonderful place.

The apartment is situated in Nemira which is about 3km from the main town of Omis. Nemira is a relatively quiet village but has a couple of shops within a minutes walk of the property. It also has a few restaurants and bars. It is an easy drive to Omis. We did not have access to a car but this wasn't a problem as it is only a 25 minute walk to Omis and there are regular buses from Nemira that stop of in Omis and go all the way to Split.

The apartment is new and is very clean. I was staying with my girlfriend and there was plenty of room for the both of us and I imagine there would be plenty of room if two more people wished to stay. The air conditioning in the bedroom was very good as it got incredibly hot at night. However the best thing about the apartment was the balcony. It gave a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea with a backdrop of the Mountains on the Isand of Brac. The sky was almost always clear of clouds and the sunset from the balcony was stunning every night.

The beach is situated only 100m away down the hill. The beaches are beautiful, backed with pine trees and the Adriatic is crystal clear. However it takes a while to get used to the cold water although it does get warmer throughout the day. I'd recommend getting a pair of scuba type shoes as all of the beaches we came across were pebble beaches and also our travel guide mentioned the beaches were home to spiky sea urchins (although I only saw a couple myself). Everyone wears them and they can be picked up for less than £5 in many of the nearby shops (especially in Omis).

The owner of the apartment and her family are very friendly and helpful. They helped us to organise several activities to do in the local area such as rafting and a trip to Bol beach on the island of Brac. We also visited Krka National Park to see the waterfalls which I would recommend although it is a couple of hours drive away.

Overall this is an excellent apartment and we really enjoyed our stay there. It is a slightly quieter part of the Dalmatian coast but within easy reach of busier towns making this a good base to see the area.
