The apartment is very comfortable and extremely well provided with extras like basic cooking items, local maps and umbrellas! The 2 bedrooms downstairs are small but with good quality beds and linen. The living room upstairs has comfy sofa and chairs, good wifi connection and dining table overlooking the shared garden. The flat is an easy 10 minute walk to the East Putney tube station and also Putney overground train. The tube is on the District line and very convenient to Kensington museums as well as Hampton Court, Wimbledon and Kew Gardens. There are nice walks along the Thames path to Hammersmith. Putney has lots of places to eat- Carluccios at Putney Wharf and Vera Italia near Carlton drive were both good. Booking the flat was easy and efficient and both the owner and local contact were very helpful. A very nice base for our week in London!
Our travel highlight for the last three years has been visiting our London based daughter and staying at Joanna's Putney apartment. Each year we have looked forward to spending our time in the apartment with its wonderful views of the garden and perfect amenities and location.
Sadly this year circumstances have meant us cancelling our booking for June. We will greatly miss the Putney visit.
We thoroughly recommend this apartment for your holiday in London. The apartment was clean, tidy, very well maintained and well fitted out for making your own meals with plenty of room for a family of four. We stayed in the apartment in January 2012 and when we returned to London for another holiday in October 2012 we had no hesitation in booking the apartment again.
It is within walking distance to the tube and bus service as well as to restaurants, supermarket, shops etc. If you have a hire car, the apartment has a parking space. It also boasts a telephone and wireless internet access.
Booking the apartment and checking out was also hassle free!!
Enjoy your stay in London,

The inlaws stayed in this flat for our Wedding this summer. They are from abroad and it was their first time in the UK so it was great to have a self contained flat with full cooking facilities an easy walk into Putney centre and supermarkets.
Having a parking space, telephone and wireless internet access is a real plus, along with good instructions in a folder in the flat.
Very convenient because we live close by and it is close to both zone 2 tube and train for easy access to central London and a direct train to see Windsor Castle.
The flat was clean and tidy, and check in and check out were hassle free.
Putney is a very old part of London, approximately 5 miles south west from the heart of London's West End, Theatre district and Soho, on the south bank of the River Thames. It is a largely residential area with a bustling High Street, supermarkets, cinema, live music venues and many traditional pubs.
The apartment is a 10 minute walk to unspoiled Putney Heath and Wimbledon Common for walks, picnics and all outdoor activities. It is ideally situated for public transportation:
- 5 minute walk to East Putney tube station with fast access to Central London.
- 5 minute walk to Putney rail station with direct services to Waterloo and services out of London to Hampton Court Palace, Ascot, Windsor etc.
- Numerous bus services nearby.
- 10 minute walk to Putney Bridge and Thames Clipper services to Chelsea, Embankment and Blackfriars and beyond to Canary Wharf and Greenwich.
