Overview

Sayulita House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

This romantic, classically styled Mexican villa offers a casual elegance not often found in today's world. View pelicans, frigates, dolphins, whales, iguanas, butterflies, and other wildlife while sipping cold drinks from the privacy of the patio. Amenities of Casa Pacifica include 4 beautifully appointed bedrooms with hotel quality beds -- two upstairs (one king, one queen) and two down (both kings) -- each has its own private bathroom, air conditioning and no adjoining walls to any other bedroom. The two bedrooms upstairs have their own private ocean front balcony with an attractive lounge area. New renovations and furnishings including designer linens; a Weber Gas Grill on the patio; a high end gourmet kitchen complete with Wolf Range, Subzero refrigerator, new Spanish Colonial tile counter tops, and quality cookware and cutlery; all ensure that your stay will be comfortable and luxurious.

Your days can be filled with activities -- from swimming to sightseeing to taking yoga -- or you can just lounge by the plunge pool or on the white sand beach and wait for the sun to drop into the beautiful, blue Pacific. Whales migrate between October and February. See them from the terrace or get close-up on a boat in the Bay of Banderas. As a nature lover you can enjoy tropical birds flying by or go on a bird watching tour. Observe iguanas, geckos, tajones or tour the turtle nursery and help release the baby turtles into the ocean. Ocean kayaking, a zip-line adventure, snorkeling and hiking in the palm jungle are the best ways to enjoy the tropical environment. The sunsets are breathtaking! Casa Pacifica is tropical Mexico as you dreamed it would be.

San Pancho is a wonderful, quaint, and very friendly little village on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, just 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, and 10 miles north of Punta de Mita (the home of both Four Seasons and St. Regis Resorts and all of the amenities that go along with 5 star properties such as these). San Pancho, formally known as San Francisco has one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. Casa Pacifica is on the nicest stretch of this mile long beach, just a short walk from the center of this lovely little Pacific coastal jewel, where the rich culture of the indigenous people magically blends with the newer customs of their North American and European neighbors. Here you will find everything from an Italian Bakery, to a Brazilian restaurant, from a choice of grocery stores to a myriad of quaint shops that line the cobblestone streets.

There are excellent restaurants in town with varied international menus, really good local Mexican dishes, great margaritas, and plenty of fresh seafood, and Casa Pacifica is only a block from the best restaurant, Mar Plata. Other evening activities include live entertainment, Saturday night polo matches and endless forms of art and culture. Dolphins and Whales are common to the area and they will captivate your heart as they magically entertain you with their delightful dancing show; especially during the months of October through February. San Pancho also has a yoga and wellness center, named El-Estar, meaning 'Being'. The multiple relaxation and healing treatments provided by these incredible therapists can enhance your long or short stay as well as heal your aches and pains. New in 2011, San Pancho also has its own golf course. Las Huertas Golf Club is a nine hole course that can be played as 18 and is located about one quarter mile from Casa Pacifica.

About Ron Baker

We have always had a sense of adventure and we were lured to Casa Pacifica by the sea. In the mid 90's we decided to begin looking for the perfect seaside location.

Our travels took us around the world a couple of times but in the end we found our paradise within three hours of home. Situated at the perfect spot on the perfect beach, Casa Pacifica, with easy access to all attractions and with awesome views has proved extremely popular with guests who return year after year. We would love to share our little bit of paradise with you and introduce you to 'Mexico's Little Secret' - the hidden gem of the Mexican Riviera!

Ron Baker purchased this house in 2007

Why Ron Baker chose Sayulita

When we visited San Pancho for the first time in 2007, it was love at first sight! Our plan had been to spend a month traveling up the coast from Manzanillo to Mazatlan looking for a place to build our retirement home. We had a long list of requirements; friendly people, a spectacular ocean view, and a town with a relaxing vibe that still had restaurants and other attractions. It turned out that San Pancho was our first and last stop. We rented Casa Pacifica for a week before starting our Journey. We fell in love with it immediately and bye buy travel plans. We knew that we'd never find anything we liked better, no matter where we looked.

What makes this house unique

San Pancho is truly paradise and Casa Pacifica sits just off the water's edge on a beautiful expanse of soft sandy beach. Days and nights provide continual tropical breezes and the tranquil sounds of the sea. The villa's design brings magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean from virtually every vantage point in the villa. You can gaze at the sailboats and fisherman as they pass the villa, or maybe catch sight of the whales and dolphins as they swim past. And then there is an awe-inspiring sunset followed by the captivating and magical lights of the neighboring villages set against the star-filled night sky. You will find Casa Pacifica to be a tranquil and elegant stay for your holiday.

San Pancho Vacation

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed a great get away as one of four couples. Casa Pacifica housed us nicely with 4 large bedrooms thankfully each with their own private ensuites. A generous Kitchen dining and living area although we lived on the patio :-) We generally did our own cooking and thought that we could have used a bigger frypan and another larger pot. Also note that no basic condiments are included - no salt/pepper etc.

We spent a lot of time on the patio which is very nice but the chairs have seen better days - a couple being particularly rough.

San Pancho is a nice, clean, quiet town - about a twenty minute walk by beach or road - where there is quite a nice selection of restaurants also small shops for groceries although I would advise doing a bigger shop at the Mega store for a much better selection.

We did have an issue during our stay and are happy to report that Jose Luis (the house manager) went above and beyond to help us out - so much appreciated - unfortunately we can not say the same of Ron (the owner) his lack of support/interest was very disappointing.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend San Pancho for anybody wanting a sun filled holiday without being tourist filled

Casa Cervesa Pacifica

Wow, what a great stay we had at Casa Pacifica. 10 days of girly time celebrating a 50th Birthday. Loved eveything about the house, wonderful to have an ensuite in every bedroom. The house was fairly well stocked, however it would have been nice to have a few more lounge chairs for the beach, as there was only three for eight people. Views were amazing from the sunsets, to watching the whales and pelicans soar along the waves. Nothing like staying beachfront.

San Pancho is a lovely quite surfing village about 20 minute walk on the beach. Food was amazing at the numerous restaurants we tried. The people are so kind and helpful. Absoultely my most favourite place I've travelled to in Mexico.

Jose was absolutely fantastic, with less than 12 hours notice he put together a team to prepare light snacks and cold drinks for our arrival. Enjoyed a lovely Mexican meal prepared by his favourite chef. Anything you needed, you could just call Jose. Ron, the home owner, was also fantastic to deal with when it came to inquiry about the rental property.

Thank you, I look forward to returning to Casa Pacifica again.

50th Birthday Celebration

  • 5 of 5

A group of 8 women lived very comfortably in Casa Pacifica for 10 days. We spent hours on the beach directly in front of the house watching the surfers and enjoying the ocean view. Daily we would stroll into San Pancho for supplies, meals or just a walk about. From the house it is about a 20 minute walk of peaceful beach; beach vendors are non existent. Jose was very helpful. He organized the airport pick up, a stop at the mega store for supplies, arranged for an authentic Mexican meal cooked at the Casa, and when our blender broke, he bought us a new one immediately. The property was very clean. My only suggestion for improvement would be to ensure that there are 8 lounge chairs for the beach and that the kitchen is stocked with an appropriate number of dishes ie 8 wine glasses not 2. I look forward to my return to San Pancho someday!

Beautiful property, fantastic location. I felt we had the entire playa to ourselves, sitting on the beach bench created by the 1.5 metre waves - enjoying the local boarders master the waves - who by the way were lovely to meet. La casa is an excellent use of space and incredibly private - even with neighbors on both sides, we were highly secluded on the patio. The pueblo of San Pancho is idyllic - love the local vibe, excellent restaurants, absence of beach vendors and pushy flea markets. Very nice part of Mexico. Absolutely safe walking around the cobble stone streets and beach late at night with a cell phone as a flashlight - and trust me- we did this often. The only comment I have, which will hopefully be taken as constructive criticism...is a shortage of material goods...For example, there were 2 wine glasses for a house that housed 8. There were only 3 lounge chairs for the beach but 8 adults. We ended up purchasing plastic cups and paper plates to accommodate. When Jose Luis found a chef for us one night, she was profoundly challenged by the lack of kitchen amenities required to cook our meal and serve it. By the way, Jose Luis was lovely and accommodating and Diva drivers were magnificent. Final note, although the village and beach are incredibly safe and friendly, we did become "overly comfortable" and left some rented boogi boards in the porch area. One of the boards (the best one) was stolen, along with a couple of pairs of flip-flops. We had to pay the surf shop for the board, which was quite expensive. Which also reminds me that 3 out of the four passport safes did not function. So...when you are finished for the day, you may want to lock up any boards, fins or other easy access stuff. None of us believe it was the local guys out front - it was someone passing by, and we were marked by our oblivion to negativity. Would I return to San Pancho again - in a second! Would I recommend Casa Pacifica - absolutely (especially if there were a few more wine glasses).

We just enjoyed 2 weeks in San Pancho at Casa Pacifica. Loved the fact that each room is separate, they share no walls and all have their own bathrooms. The upstairs sitting area is wonderful and 2 of us enjoyed a relaxing massage up there listening to the ocean.

Plenty of extra good quality sheets and towels. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought, and money, into providing quality furnishings and appliances.

The outside table comfortably seats 8. The rope lights give a lovely place to relax and enjoy your margaritas.

We found the pool too cold to enjoy which was a disappointment as I was looking forward to sitting in there and relaxing. At this time of the year it gets no sunshine and could have used a heater. The ocean was warmer but swimming in front of the Casa at this time of year not good.

The walk to town along the beach is more like 20 - 25 minutes for the average person. Kids and older people included. Walking to town on the road is not a good option as it is very uneven and hard to walk on.

We rented a car but next time I would use the shuttle service. Diva tours is a San Pancho based tour operator and they can pick you up at the airport, stop at the Mega for groceries and deliver you to the house. Golf cart rental is very popular.

There were a few maintenance issues, plugged drain, clogged shower head and non working dishwasher but Jose Luis took care of all those things as soon as we brought them to his attention. My only issue here is that I feel these things should all be taken care of with regular maintenance and not be up to renters to point them out. The BBQ was a disappointment - never really got hot enough. The fridge VERY hard to open and you almost have to pull the door off in order to open it. Good arm workout!

Jose Luis is excellent. When ever I emailed him regarding something whether it was a maintenance issue, a question about San Pancho or just to send me the phone number of the house when I was out and about, he was very prompt to get back to me. Always courteous, polite and a friendly. Even when my son landed in the San Pancho hospital and I emailed from there at 7:00am he was there in person 10 minutes later. He is a great asset to have around and can organise anything from massages to car cleaning very quickly.

Overall we had a wonderful stay and recommend San Pancho and Casa Pacifica.

Great places to eat with live music. Love San Pancho

Beautiful Casa Pacifica

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, peaceful house in San Pancho, Nayarit, Mexico. There are 4 lovely, mostly equal Master Bedrooms with private bathrooms (one has a Queen Bed, but it has a great view), and all are private. The kitchen has a lovely gas range, which is great, because we cook, large refrigerator, dishwasher and even a garbage disposal!

The real beauty is the location and outdoor spaces. We used the palapa table constantly, and the plunge pool was perfect. There are nice lounge chairs for sunning, and we bought a nice hammock to use on the hooks provided. The house comes with lots of nice beach towels and linens.

If you have never been to San Pancho, you are in for a treat. It has just enough art stores and restaurants, everything is walkable, if you like to walk, and we do! The sand is perfect, the beach gorgeous, the bird lagoon is very interesting, and there are great jungle hikes very close by. The waves were pretty high during our stay, great for boarding and watching the surfers.

Jose Luis, the house manager, is great, really available and helpful. He is maybe the best house manager we have encountered in all of our VRBO stays! There are only a couple of things to know before you go: there is little to no cellular in the house, you may need to walk down the beach for reception, so give the house number if someone needs to reach you. There is wi-fi, but no TV, which you probably wouldn't really use, anyway! There are lots of books available if you finish yours, but you may want a deck of cards. Buy a boogie board or two in town, or at the Mega. Market Day is Tuesday, and Salsa Night is Monday in Sayulita.

Enjoy! But don't tell everyone about San Pancho! It's perfect the way it is!
