Come spend your vacation at our 1,300 square foot 3 bedroom/2 bath villa in the Mauna Lani Palm Villas. We would love to be your hosts in paradise.
We are located in the world famous Mauna Lani Resort on the prestigious Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Mauna Lani Palm Villas is a small, gated complex with only 44 units tucked between the 17th fairway and a historical preserve in the heart of the resort. We have our own waterfall pool, hot tub, and fitness center. It is very peaceful and quiet.
Our unit, chosen for its location, overlooks the historical Hawaiian preserve and provides a peek-a-view look at the ocean. Enjoy evening cocktails while watching the beautiful Hawaiian sunset from the private lanai.
Our unit provides plenty of room for 6 people. The master bedroom features a king sized bed, full dresser, walk in closet and 32” flat screen TV. Bedroom two has a queen size bed and a 32” TV. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds.
We have high speed, wireless internet and unlimited long distance to the Mainland and Canada so you can stay connected. The Living Room includes a home theater and a 36” flat screen TV. Bring your favorite CDs and DVDs.
Rental includes all linens, dishes, pots and pans. If you choose to cook, we have everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal including coffee grinder, blender, toaster oven, and rice cooker. Use our gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, modern appliances, and cherry cabinets or the built in barbecue grill (summer kitchen) on our back lanai.
Additional resort facilities are within a short walk of our front door including two championship golf courses, miles of beachfront with a private beach club and restaurant, a world famous spa and fitness center with an Olympic pool, a tennis center, shops, and restaurants. The Mauna Lani Resort includes miles of hiking/biking trails through ancient Hawaiian fish ponds making it perfect for walkers and joggers.
You can walk to the beach or use our key card to access the private parking lot at the Mauna Lani Beach Club. We provide beach toys (boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, mats, cooler). The Beach Club provides resort style cabanas and chaise lounges for use of resort guests. The sand is white, the water is turquoise and clear for snorkeling, and the palm trees sway in the trade wind breezes.
The Shops at Mauna Lani features island boutiques, art galleries, fine dining, a coffee shop, a gourmet, full service supermarket, and free entertainment. Foodland Farms carries freshly caught fish, grass-fed Big Island beef, locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as prepared foods.
If you are a golfer, you will enjoy discounted rates at the two championship golf courses within the resort. The views of the ocean from the golf course are spectacular. A full service pro shop and restaurant is adjacent to the Golf Club House.
Additional resort amenities include:
• 3 miles of oceanfront
• A boathouse offering snorkeling, scuba, sunset cruises, and whale watching
• 15 acres of ancient Hawaiian fishponds surrounded by miles of walking/jogging paths

Come stay with us at the Mauna Lani Palm Villas and make memories that will last a lifetime.
I found this place on VRBO and we stayed one week: everything was according to the description and pictures. To my surprise, there is sufficient breeze at night, so we did not need any air conditioning. The unit we rented was on the 2nd floor. We enjoyed the early morning walk to the beach through the lava fields and the Mauna Lani ponds (do not forget a hat for the return trip). The black pool was a success with kids, and safer than the tidal pools in Puna (severely hit by tropical storm Iselle). Snorkeling is among the best on the Kona side (for beginners) and if you want to see fish without getting wet, just walk to the ponds opening to the sea! The shops at the Mauna Lani are convenient: we went to foodland for lunches and sometimes for dinner (they stay open late at night and they have all kinds of ready made foods to go). Tip: ask for their discount card. The Palm Villas are an excellent value in the middle of a top resort.
We had a couple of minor concerns which were addressed properly by the managers.
My wife and I have been to the palm villas several times now. It was our first time in this unit. The unit is well equiped , when we needed some better chairs for the beach Trude quickly responded and brought us some. There is a great view from the Lanai the sunsets are awesome. The BBQ is convenient, we used it for almost all our at home meals. The weather on the Kohala coast is always the best on the Island, no matter where we went it seemed we always came back to sunshine .The resort is amazing, the beach club is close by with great snorkleing, it is a safe and sheltered area for families with a full time lifeguard. When you want to venture out to a bigger beach there is Hapuna and Mauna kea both are amazing beaches. The Big island is a wonderland for out door activities and Kona offers the touristy options when you want to go shopping. I don't think you could go wrong staying here if you like sun and fun.
This unit at the Palm Villas is perfect for a relaxing get away. Everything was exactly as described but even better. You can't go wrong with Palm Villas, but the best thing is that this unit is in one of the four unit buildings and has the territorial view looking towards the water beyond the lava preserve. It's quiet and peaceful and has incredible comforts. I've done extensive research on the Mauna Lani resort complex and firmly believe Palm Villas is the perfect spot. And this unit is frosting on the cake.
