Villa Salena is a beautiful development consisting of 18 apartments close to the town of Slatine to the north east of Ciovo.
The property consists of three penthouse apartments and a number of standard two bedroom and one bedroom apartments. Therefore, we can cater for groups of almost any size.
A standard two bedroom apartment consists of a comfortable kitchen, dining and living area that leads out on to the balcony. There is a master bedroom in each apartment that has a double bed and a smaller second bedroom that has bunk beds. There is one fully equipped bathroom in each apartment.
The penthouse apartments are larger than the standard apartment and the second bedroom has single beds. The balcony is also larger and you can enjoy beautiful sea views from them. Please enquire about them as they are more expensive.
The development benefits from two beautiful pools that are shared by all of the apartments, ample parking and its close proximity to the town of Slatine and the beach.
Villa Salena is located just a short walk from the charming fishing town of Slatine. The village is located to the north east of Ciovo island. Slatine is very much an old Mediterranean village that has been unspoiled by large scale tourist development. However, this is gradually proving a blessing as the town becomes increasingly popular with guests looking for a more authentic Croatian village than some of the more popular tourist destinations on the island.
During the summer months there is a regular ferry that can take you from Slatine to either Split or Trogir and back again. This is ideal as it provides you with a cheap and quick method of transport to visit two of the most popular tourist attractions in the region (whilst avoiding any traffic). Both Trogir and Split are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Villa Salena is also only 12km from Split airport so you are not wasting any time with unnecessary travel. While Slatine is based on the island of Ciovo, you can still drive to the island due to a connection bridge located in Trogir.
The closest beach is only 200m from the apartments and there are endless coves and inlets along the coastline if you are looking for somewhere more private. There is also the popular Kava beach on the other side of Slatine although this is not really within walking distance of the apartments.
Local amenities in the town include a choice of restaurants, supermarkets, cafes and bars. There is also a diving school and water sports providers. Anything not available in the town can be easily arranged from the nearby Trogir.
Slatine is a charming fishing village located on the island of Ciovo. Due to its proximity to both Split and Trogir (and the transport links between them), Slatine is the ideal place to spend your holiday. Also, you are only a 12km drive from Split Airport so once your flight lands you are not too far from the luxury of our apartments.
Although not as popular as other destinations on the island, Slatine is becoming ever more popular due to the beautiful coastline that you are never too far away from. There is also a choice of beaches, restaurants, bars and water activities to keep you occupied throughout your stay. Slatine provides you with the beauty of an old Mediterranean village that is still largely unspoiled while at the same time you are only a 15 minute taxi ferry to either Trogir or Split which are the two most popular tourist destinations in the region.
