Centrally located in the Okanagan Valley this unique home was built in 1905 and has just undergone extensive renovations inside and out. Almost all the furniture in the house is new except for the antique's which have been restored. All the appliances, linen, dishes, cooking utensils are also new. Two of the patio's are open and two are under pergola's. The BBQ and dining area are open and have an herb garden next to the cooking area. Each area of the home and yard have been designed to sit and relax, enjoy the scenery and literally smell the roses. Comments have been made that the property is quite 'Victorian'. It definitely makes you feel comfortable and welcome.
There is a cute story that was published in the local paper about the Blind Angler (yes he was a real person), his name was Jack Wilson his wife's name was Ruby and this house was their home. Al purchased the house in 1985 from Ruby and thus the name 'Blind Angler's Cottage'
Al has lived in Peachland since the mid 60's and I moved here in the early 80's. We met in 1995 and this little house was what ultimately caused us to move in together (actually a funny story). When we moved, we didn't go far, just next door, the adjoining property.
The house was purchased because of the convient location just a short walk to down town Peachland with all it's amenities, super lakeview and large lot.
Due to the age of the house and it's condition at the time, it had a lot of potential which is evident now. As you walk up to the house there are 3 separate entrances which lead to rooms each having at least 2 entries some 3. You never seem to feel trapped. The Living room, Dining room, Kitchen nook, Sitting room and even the Sunroom to some degree have a different view or prospective of the lake.
Al and I always laughed and told people that that was our 'Happy house' and once being in it they would reply 'ya it does have a comfortable happy feeling'.

Cancellation fees: 25% of the total booking if you cancel with 15 days of your stay. No fee if you cancel 30 days prior to your stay.
Pets: $50.00 per week + $75.00 damage deposit.
Damage deposit: $200.00
