THE VENETO LOFT

Padua City Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Venetian Villa to gather your family, rest and discover Padua, Venice and Verona

Villa Mandriola was built in the second half of the 16th century by one of the oldest families in Italy. Surrounded by a private estate of green lawns and secular trees you will be staying amid one of the largest private parks in the city.

Built on two floors you will have lots of space to relax, dine and celebrate in beautiful and historic spaces. All the six double bedrooms preserve the original architecture and boasts beautiful art and original frescoes and stuccos.

A formal dining room on the ground floor will be ideal for your family gatherings and to celebrate your special events. The Frescoes Sitting room and the Stuccos Sitting room will give you all the space to relax, read a book or entertain your guests.

The newly refurbished fully equipped kitchen has a working fireplace and a large table for informal dining.

Strolling the Giardino offers a refreshing respite from the cities busy streets. As you explore the interlacing of pathways, you’ll discover original statues, lakes, and secular trees.

The outdoor pool at Villa Mandriola offers a calm oasis away from the bustle of the city. Guests can use the pool for laps or recreational swimming, have a barbecue on the outdoors, or unwind on a chaise lounge.

The city of St Anthony and home to Italy’s second-oldest university, Padua (Padova to the locals) is also the site of one of the most remarkable works of late Gothic art (prefiguring the Renaissance) in Northern Italy. Just 30km west of Venice, this dynamic town, with its arcaded streets and fetching medieval centre is the ideal location to start exploring the Veneto region without having to bear the stress of being in Venice. Wander bustling markets in the old town centre, admire Giotto’s masterpiece of painting here and contemplate St Anthony’s Basilica.

Amongst the major attractions in Padua is the Scrovegni Chapel with fresco by Giotto, the Basilica di Sat Anthony and the Botanical Gardens.

Southwest of the ancient university town of Padua you find yourself immersed in lush vineyards. This is the scenic wine region of Colli Euganei. The Natural Park is characterized by its steep, almost triangular volcanic hills, its medieval hamlets and monasteries (many still inhabited by Benedictine monks) and by its unspoiled landscapes here you will be able to try the many delicious al-fresco trattorias (restaurants), adventure yourself in the natural park either by car, cycling or horse riding.
