Good for a big family or 2 families

The villa is good for splitting up age groups into their own areas with own bathrooms etc. We were 2 families with 5 kids from 10 to 15 years old. The parents had their own parts of the house and the kids theirs. Also the residential area is safe for the kids to go by themselves to the pool and tennis courts and to use the bikes, so our lot were quite independent.

The little creeks nearby are lovely (go to the tourist office in Calonge and pick up the leaflets available) otherwise the beach in St Antoni is nice and good for boogy boarding. We went to Barcelona by train one day. The train leaves from a town about 1/2 an hour from Calonge.

The owner was friendly and helpful. He came straight away when we discovered the DVD player didn't work and he replaced it immediately.

Sheets, hand and bath towels were provided but you need to take beach towels, bath mats and tea towels as these are not provided.

The kitchenware could do with a check and clean after each visit. We had to put everything through the dishwasher and clean the cutlery drawers. Otherwise the rooms were clean on our arrival. There was a bit of an ant problem however and we had to buy some products to keep them at bay.

The main improvement we would suggest is that it'd be nice if there were basic products in the house when you arrive (soap for the bathrooms, washing up liquid, sponges for washing up and wiping, dishwasher tablets, oil, salt and pepper etc)

All in all we thought the villa was a good option for us and would use it again.

Ideal for a family vacation

We rented this villa for a week in September and we loved it. The setting overlooking the bay of Palamos was fantastic, the neighborhood is very quite and feel very exclusive (with top facilities), the house is well located with a good range of beach with 10 minutes drive. But the best of all is the garden and the private pool, it's well maintained, it's very green (rare in summer) and is on the side of a parasol pine forest so it's a perfect to relax or let the kids makes as much noise as they want (ours did). Since the world can not be all perfect, the only down side was the kitchen ware and cuttle ware that need a bit of an upgrade, hopefully the owner will take care of this. Other than that, it is fantastic place to enjoy the Costa Brava.
