|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Accommodations: House capable of dividing into two independent suites, 6 bedrooms, 5 ½ baths (sleeps 13)
This all-season destination provides an inviting, all-inclusive home which boasts panoramic views of alluring lake and mesmerizing mountains. Sun adorns the dock from dawn to dusk, while mature eagles keep their watch from pines above. Look out wide bay windows at Mt. Aerosmith, whimsical sailboats, lightning storms, or the historic Mars water bomber that finds its home directly across the lake (as does the provincial park and the ancient native petro glyphs). Plane aficionados can get treated to up-close shows from this impressive vessel as it flies in drill or to aid in a real fire.
Inside the main level, a full-standing gas surround fireplace welcomes everyone to the cozy living room (complete with new leather couch and loveseat and a soft leather rocking chair) or the fully-equipped, spacious and warm kitchen (no need to bring the coffee maker!). All invite you to enjoy long conversation, a good book, or a cup of tea.
A large dining room table stands close by as well, waiting for family and friends to sit around it deep into the night and regale the day’s tales. Savory memories and meals are yours to create! A new BBQ is just a step away on the expansive, adjoining deck which overlooks the lawn and lake—a great place to have morning coffee, take in a pink sunset, or get lost counting the prolific stars against the blackened sky.
After hours of connection or reflection, one can tuck into a plush queen-sized bed on the main floor: the Cathedral Grove Room. Leave it to the overly large bath with two sinks, a shower, a toilet, and soaker tub right across from this room to ready you for a wonderful night’s sleep.
Upstairs, the Garden Room and the Lake View Room both afford beautiful queen beds as well, complete with their own ensuite bathrooms. Highboy dressers and large closets allow for ample storage, helping you feel all moved in and at home.
The master bedroom, also on the upper floor, is generous in its layout, boasting three full windows and an arm-sweeping view of the wonders of Sproat—which can be taken in while tucked under the puffy, king-size duvet. Added to the full dresser and nightstand storage is a large walk-in closet (almost big enough to be another bedroom!). Electric fireplace adds atmosphere, while the six-piece ensuite bath—complete with a Jacuzzi tub with the best views in the house—is the crown of this king’s suite. Whether it serves as a honeymoon suite or a reflective retreat, the bright, big room will instantly spoil you.
In the morning after a deep night’s rest, don’t forget that the peaceful breakfast nook with counter-height stools and table can be the perfect way to enjoy breakfast before heading to the dock for water fun.
If you staying downstairs in the full suite on the first floor, you’ll get to the dock first as it is only steps away. This light, bright, hip suite also has a fully-equipped kitchen, a breakfast nook, 1.5 baths, a sitting room, a living room with wood stove, and a queen bedroom (Dockside Room). Across the hallway for the large bathroom you'll find the Bunk House Room complete with solid dark wood bunk beds with comfy duvets to provide deep sleeps. The broad view from multiple bay windows typically draw oohs and aahs and a scramble for bathing suits!
Approximately 80’ of private beachfront calls all rock skippers and swimmers to whittle away the day there, even though the six-person floating island with kiddy pool attached may have a stronger allure…at least to those pirate want-to-bes!
If you’re a skier or sun bather, wake boarder or surfer, you can await your adventure on the 26’ X 16’ wharf (boat slip 19’ x 8’).
Of course, a laundry room with full washer/dryer is off the kitchen on the main floor should your jaunts along the many running or biking trails spur you to adventure…or your swimsuit need drying!
If being graced with bountiful beauty, ready relaxation, or wild water fun is the point, then Grace Point has everything you need to enjoy a hassle-free and memorable vacation—your home away from home.
Wifi, Cable, TV and DVD on main floor, phone, linens and towels are all available for your convenience.
In the interest of our guests with allergies, no pets and no smoking, please.
An amazing place to get away, relax, and enjoy the view! The rental went above and beyond in accommodating our large group of 14 people. The location is easy to find and situated in a breath taking lake location. Everything about the house is high quality and makes it feel truly like a "retreat". Expectations surpassed!
Spacious house, beautiful property and a lovely caretaker on site. The house and property are well maintained and are equipped with all the amenities you might need during your stay. It is clear that the owners/caretakers give much thought to the rental experience, right down to the small details. Accessible water sports equipment provides lots of opportunity to get outside and enjoy the lakefront. All in all, a great place to getaway and relax!
Huge lovely home with plenty of space for all. I had the lake view room and woke each morning to sun over the lake. Super comfy bed. My own private bathroom.
Well appointed kitchen. Everything we needed to cook multiple meals on site (lots of wine glasses!). ;)
Hot tub on deck again with amazing view of lake.
We had a great girls' weekend there!
We just had a gorgeous weekend! The place is impeccable! Clean, well equipped and incredibly comfortable. Just what we needed! The mountain and lake views were stunning! We paddled, hiked and lounged in the hot tub. It was great! The owner’s and caretaker were awesome. No glitches at all! I will be returning to this spot! It’s a gem!
This property is exactly how it appears in the pictures. It is in a stunning location, can sleep a ton of people, and is very well equipped. We were a party of 12 and everyone had plenty of space to spread out. The hot tub, dock, lawn and all the rooms were luxurious. Sproat Lake is a lake to behold and the weather held up!
Unfortunately, there were some issues that darkened our stay at Grace Point.
After we arrived, we were introduced to John the owner and given a quick tour of the place. We were then introduced to the onsite caretaker, and her young child! It turned out that they lived in a guesthouse located 50 feet away and would be present on the property for the duration of our stay!
This was never mentioned in the description found on this website, nor by the owner, however it is mentioned once in the rental agreement. For some people this might be a non-issue, but unfortunately for our party it was awkward to say the least. I will admit that we were likely louder than most renters, but we did not feel like constantly needing to look over our shoulders or watch what we were saying around the young child or caretaker. It felt like they were always around! We were even told to move inside after 10 PM so that we wouldn't keep them up. As I said before this was all very unexpected.
We were told that we could not use the laundry room, unless under supervision from the caretaker. All of the cleaning supplies were in this room as well additional towels and dish rags. For the price of this place we expected to have access to the laundry room whenever we needed it. We were told to leave the place as we found it.
There is a new septic system that had just been installed on the northwest side of the house. We were constantly bombarded by smells no one wants to be smelling on vacation. Hopefully this is addressed!
There is an extremely strict no smoking policy on the entire property. There were a few smokers in our group and they were constantly hounded by the ever present caretaker and told to move further and further up the driveway towards the neighbors house.
The worst came one week later when we were told our deposit would not be returned. When I emailed the owner to get clarification of associated costs no email was returned. I agree with some of the accusations (party island leak, 1 dirty towel and pillowcase) but could not add it up to the amount he claimed. Nor could he.
We will be submitting an official complaint.
Our stay was incredible. Thanks so much.
We were all very impressed with the quality of the supplies that you have stocked the house with. The kitchen was the best equipped I have ever experienced in a vacation rental stay (done lots) from the quality of the appliances, cooking equipment, place settings and even the cutlery. Every item we put our hands on was of very high quality. As was the quality of the linens, beds and pillows... dream sleep! The overall state of cleanliness was impeccable in every room, bathrooms and corner! The extra's that we did not expect like saran wrap, ziploc bags, the list goes on and on...came in really handy on our check out with all the left overs. The location was very private, more so than we expected. Also a nice surprise to see a new small grocery market just 5 minutes away, bonus on Easter Sunday morning when we were short a few key items.
Visited the petriclifs park with ancient native carvings only 5 minutes away by boat and did lots of trout fishing right out front.
We are already talking about next year and possibly even the first week in September this year.
