Exceptional apartment, completely new in a building recently refurbished. Located by the world famous Quai aux Briques, in a semi-pedestrian area, at the heart of the historical center of Brussels. A few seconds from the Place Sainte Catherine (the Belgian quartier Montorgueil) and withing a walking distance from all major Brussels attractions: Grande Place, Maneken Pis, Museums, Parks and the European Commission. Metro Sainte Catherine is just 50 meters from the building and will give you access to all train stations (Gare du Midi to connect to Paris or London is 10 mns from the apartment) or other major transportation connections.
The apartment completely renovated with prestigious and typical materials includes 2 bedroom with one large bed in each, and 1 living room with a comfortable sofa bed, for a total of 6 sleeps. The apartment is also equipped with a baby bed for young children. It is ideal for couples or for a family.
The very large bathroom is both cosy and trendy with a magnificent shower.
The stylish kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances if you want to cook and enjoy by yourself the Belgian 'art de vivre'.
Enjoy TV, DVD, free WiFi throughout the apartment.
The apartment is full of light and very peaceful.
It is a very quiet apartment ideally located in one of the most oldest street of the city.
Many many restaurants and bars are available in the area.
We are F. and Olivier + Elliott & Marin. We used to live in New-York (96-99), London (03-06), Paris (06-12) and now live in Brussels.
We rent several properties in which we have lived or spent some times like our apartment in Paris, our country house in Luberon, a lovely cocoon in Aix en Provence and now this exceptional apartment in the center of Brussels.
We know how it is important to feel like home when you travel, especially with your own family and kids.
Olivier Antomarchi purchased this apartment in 2013
Exceptional stylish and typical apartment with 6 sleeps, completely renovated and fully equipped, located in the best area of Brussels
A touch of light, a zest of history with the Cathedral Sainte Catherine and one of the oldest street of the city, a perfume of olive oil in the stylish bathroom, a feeling of first time love in the large bedroom and the endless sensation of freedom when you walk from the apartment throughout the pedestrian area of Brussels, the Quai aux Briques and its colorful and very modern bars or restaurants...
Stayed for a long weekend for 3 nights with famil which includes 2 young boys ( 8 and 5 yrs old). Super location, safe and clean appartment. Great choice of gastronomy on the doorstep. You must visit the ice cream shop 1 min from the front door - Frederick Blondeel. Boys loved Nordzee - tapas stand up place in the square for seafood. Super fresh and they loved the commotion of ordering and the calamari. Thumbs up from them also for the wi - fi signal and choice of satellite english speaking channels on the TV. 10/15 walk to all the touristy sights of Grand Place / Mannequin Pis etc and the Tintin shop !!Will book again without hesitation when visiting our friends again in Brussels.
We stayed at this apartment over 2014 New Year and had a really great time. The apartment is very centrally situated, just a few steps from St. Catherine's Square (which had a Christmas Market and big wheel when we visited) and 5 minutes walk to the Grand Place. There were some really great restaurants and bars in and around St. Catherine's so you have lots of choice on your doorstep. There is also a Metro stop in the square so you can explore beyond the city, we really enjoyed a visit to the Atomium at Heysel.
The apartment itself is on a peaceful street and has been really well renovated, clean, airy, modern yet very comfortable for a family of four (2 boys aged 19 & 16)
Olivier was very easy to deal with and check in/out was stress free.
We will definitely look to stay at the apartment on our next visit to Brussels
Fantastic stay for Christmas! Perfect for families. Ideally located. Apartment refurbished with style, fully equipped, very quiet. Owner very nice and easy to deal with. We have already booked for next year!
We had a fantastic stay in this apartment early October. We flew from New York and before visiting Paris, we thought Brussels as the European capital would be a nice start. The place is very convenient (close to everything) and the owner, Olivier, was extremely helpful when we asked for restaurants recommendations in the are. We tried Bonsoir Clara on rue dansaert and Switch on rue de flandres, and we loved it! The apartment is located on a very small and peaceful street with a nice and romantic view on Sainte Catherine Church. Very well equipped for couples and families. We have already booked for next year!
My wife and I travel in Europe frequently. We stay in apartments and always look for "quiet" places. This apartment was not peaceful and quiet during our stay in mid September. There was major multi story construction next door that started in the summer (the owner later told me after I complained). The apartment faces a busy alley way. During our stay there was noise until late at night from people in the alley. The apartment was poorly stocked with essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. when we checked in. The location is convenient and the appliances are new. I do not recommend this apartment.
We stayed here with our three very young kids for a four night stay. The location was excellent including quick access to the Metro and an easy walk to sites like the Grand Place. There were lots of restaurants nearby so food was never an issue. Highly recommend stopping by Charli Boulangerie for some morning pastries. There's also a tiny park close by that we utilized everyday.
The apartment was very well equipped especially for those with kids. Ikea plates, utensils, and cups were very handy. The beds were comfortable which is a big bonus as there's nothing worse than staying in an apartment that had rock hard beds.
Olivier was very easy to work with and even shipped some clothes that my children left behind for which I am very grateful.
I highly recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to stay here again.
