Deep in the woods on 38 private acres, only one mile from Bristol Mountain. Be as secluded as you want or as connected as you want with Wi-Fi, HD cable TV and excellent cell phone coverage. The only other property on our 38 acres, is our A-Frame, also available on VRBO (#442204). The two cabins are 200 - 300 yards apart, and not in sight of each other.
During the winter months, you really need a four wheel drive vehicle if it is snowy or icy The driveway gets plowed, but that doesn't always eliminate slippery spots if it stays below freezing. The driveway is very long with hills. If you come in a two wheel drive vehicle and it is snowy or icy, your chances of getting all the way up are 50/50.
My wife Mary Jane (MJ) and I and our three grown children (Sarah, Ben and Tim) are an adventure family. We sail, ski, bike, hike and more. We have lived in many different parts of the country and love Rochester's proximity to the Great Lakes, the Finger Lakes and good skiing.
Jeff or Mary Jane Jones purchased this cabin in 2006
'The woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep'
There are beautiful views in all directions and from every window. Peaceful, quiet and always a ton of things to do while enjoying nature. Only a short drive to Canandaigua, Naples and Rochester, NY.
To start, Jeff is a very accomadating property owner. He will send you very organized emails with all the info you will need for a relaxing stay. We also spoke before our trip and I knew that we had selected a property that is very well cared for. As you pull in, the driveway exudes seclusion. It is tucked away and very quiet. The cabin is every bit of what we hoped it would be. Clean and very well decorated. It is virtually 3 minutes from the entrance to Bristol Moutain. We stopped at the CB brewery in Honeoye Falls and filled a growler (a must stop if you are coming from the west). We were completely satisfied with our trip, and highly recommend this cabin. You will not be dissapointed! Thanks again for your hospitality!
Thank you so much for lending your beautiful cabin to us. It was very cosy. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay there! And our special thank you for the bottle of wine that greeted us upon arrival, it was just what we needed after the long drive:)
I loved the place. It was very nice and well kept. The area was beautiful. My girlfriend and I went up there to get away for a weekend and we plan on doing it again. It was relaxing and perfect. If your thinking about doing it just do it. You will not be disappointed.
We can't say enough for the comfort and cleanliness of the mountain retreat. We spent five days enjoying the quiet and yet convenience of nearby Naples and Canandaigua. The owners were in touch during the rental period and gave us great information about the area..very friendly and personable. We loved the fact that the cook wear was in great condition as we enjoy cooking and rarely find nice cookware in the VRBO rentals. That was important to us. The internet was strong.
We found it easier to cook in as many of the local restaurants were closed over the 4th holiday which we found odd.
The cabin was easy to clean so we were able to pack up to leave with no hassle. Thank you Jeff and M J for a lovely stay in your rental.
We went here for our honeymoon and the cabin had everything you could think of and then more. It was very clean, comfortable, and the owners were absolutely great to work with. We would love to return one day and would highly recommend it for couples looking for any kind of getaway.
This house was even better than we expected! The inside is well appointed, clean and cozy. When we were not enjoying the inside of the property we were spending time out on the deck with it's beautiful views. We came in Fall when the trees were in full peek. We spent our evenings outside by the fire pit. This property is an easy drive to almost all activities. Jeff and MJ provided us with a list of "things to do" in the area and were extremely accommodating. We will definitley be back!
Located in the woods, on 38 private acres, in the heart of the beautiful Bristol Hills. Only one mile from the Bristol Mountain Ski Resort.
