Missoula House Rental Photos and Description
Charming One BR, One Bath House - Sleeps 4 - Private & Convenient.
Make our luxurious guest cottage your home away from home in Missoula. We’re located one block east of N. Higgins, where you’ll find amazing shopping, restaurants and culture right out the front door—no car needed.
The one remark that we hear over and over from our guests is 'this is so much better than a hotel'! This one-bedroom cottage is clean, cozy and inviting. It is 800 square feet and it feels spacious because of a great floor plan. It is fully furnished with everything you’ll need, including fine linens and towels, new furnishings and a new queen-size bed. Not to mention Cable TV, Wi-Fi, books, games, toys, and many other comforts of home.
We are proud to be able to offer this historic cottage in a prime location. It has privacy with a neighborhood feel even though it is just a few steps from the center of downtown. Why stay in a 200 sq. ft. hotel room when you can enjoy two outdoor decks, a fully-equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, and off-street parking.
After you park your car, you can stroll to plentiful dining, entertainment, shopping and outdoor recreation opportunities. The University of Montana and St. Pats Hospital are also within short walking distance ... not to mention the museums, theaters, library, post office, riverfront trail, Carousel for Missoula, and the list goes on.
The house features big bay windows in the dining area and the living area. There is one small bedroom with a new queen bed. There is also a leather futon in the living room that easily converts to a queen sleeper (linens provided).
The kitchen is big and well-equipped with everything you will need including: quality flatware, dishes, a variety of glassware, pots and pans, Tupperware, cooking utensils, mixing bowls, measuring cups, cutting boards, spices, cutlery, etc. It has a cook top/convection microwave combination, a large toaster oven and a variety of small appliances (blender, rice cooker, crock pot, coffee pot, electric tea pot).
The bathroom is tiled and it features an old fashioned claw-foot tub with a very nice shower. There is a small utility room with a washer and dryer next to the bathroom.
There are decks on both the north side and the south side of the house, so you can pick sun or shade and enjoy the outdoor seating.
There is a flat screen television with a DVD and cable TV service. We also provide Wi Fi. The house is set up with 'homey' touches including books, board games, toys for kids, and information about the local area.
Our location is directly across the street from the brand new state-of-the-art Peak Health & Wellness Center. Guests can purchase a week-long pass at the Peak for $25.00 or a day pass for $10.00.
The historic Northern Pacific Railroad Depot is just one block northwest of the cottage (see photos and map) - Please be aware that there is train activity - if train noise bothers you, this location may not be the best choice.
Also, just across the street is the Jungle Child Care Center at the Peak (open 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.) If you have immunization records for your child (age 6 weeks to 7 years) - you can use their 'drop-off' service for $5.00/hour.

Why Jill Herrick chose Missoula
This property is a quaint, historic building in a fantastic location. It offers a feeling of privacy and solitude, yet, it is just one block to the center of the vibrant and flourishing downtown area of Missoula.
What makes this house unique
If you want to be anywhere near downtown Missoula and/or the University of Montana ... you can't beat this location!
This house was built in 1895, so it has a lot of history! It is quaint, clean, and convenient. The bathroom and the kitchen were remodeled in recent years and all of the windows were replaced in the Spring of 2013. One of the best features of this house are the big bay windows in the dining and living areas. These windows bring in a lot of light and they make the rooms feel spacious.
The house has two brand new decks (one on the north side and one on the south side of the house) for outdoor enjoyment. This property offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the privacy with outdoor seating and off-street parking in the downtown area.
