The Genda Family purchased the Rosemont estate, which includes the Historic Rosemont Manor, as well as the four guest cottages, to save this historic landmark from being lost to development. Now the manor and nearby cottages are a great respite for travelers seeking a quiet getaway in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
Come stroll the grounds where Presidents and other dignitaries once found respite. During its 200+ year history, Rosemont has been owned by several prominent political families, including Harry F. Byrd, Sr. - former US Senator and VA Governor. During Senator Byrd's time here at Rosemont, he hosted many prestigious visitors including 5 U.S. Presidents.
The 60 acres of manicured grounds includes numerous heirloom trees and was once the site of the Battle of Berrvyille in 1864.
The Cottages at Rosemont are located in secluded, wooded areas within the Rosemont grounds for that 'get away from it all' feeling, yet the town of Berryville is within a short drive to nearby Winchester, Harpers Ferry, the Skyline Drive, and other great tourism spots.
