About Trish Hoyt

Dan and Trish - Trish is a transplant from Boston who fell in love with CO in 1985, with a stint in Aspen, and drawn to Boulder to live. Dan a CO. native, of Steamboat Springs. Both love the mountains, and enjoy another home tucked up Coal Creek Canyon. Love to mt. bike, hike, road ride, and basically any endurance activity in the mountains. Also, enjoy the fine cuisine of restaurants in downtown Boulder, live music events, and art scene of Boulder. We purchased the Maxwell House to give us, and you, access to our passions.

CU Graduation Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at Maxwell House for CU Graduation weekend despite the weather. It only made it more memorable! Maxwell is a cozy clean retreat in a lovely neighborhood and much nicer than the pictures represent. We enjoyed returning there for respite from all the activity. I hope to stay again for another Boulder visit and maybe we will be able to enjoy the garden and proximity to the Mt. Sanitas trailhead next time!

Serene Boulder Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely love the location! So close to Mt. Sanitas for runs or hiking, a short walk to Whole Foods Ideal market and liqueur store and very close for a stroll or dinner on Pearl Street. Tricia is extremely helpful, leaving a cruiser bike for use. The house is awesome very tastefully (clean!) done but super comfortable and easy to get used to being your place away from home! Loved the gourmet kitchen for cooking and entertaining, steam shower is super relaxing after a hard workout or ski. Neighborhood is peaceful, I just loved hanging out on the front porch swing! Even though I was there for a week the time went by way too fast and I will be back! I highly recommend the Maxwell House! Thanks for a great vacation!

Wonderful little cottage on Mappleton Hill.

  • 5 of 5

The photos hardly do this lovely cottage justice. It is in the Heritage area of Boulder just a few blocks up from Downtown and you really can manage without a car if necessary, though carrying groceries would be a limitation! It is a picturesque little building with a swing on the outside front porch where you can sit and people watch. It is on a very quiet corner and has been beautifully remodelled and decorated by someone with an eye for colour and detail. Everything is high end, down to the luxury bath robes and little extras supplied by the owner who is a delight and very willing to help in any way she can. I appreciated that is was a non-smoking and pet free environment since some of our party are allergenic. They do have a pet but do not allow others to bring theirs in which I can quite understand. We enjoyed using the fully equipped modern kitchen and had several family gathering there. It is a small cottage , two bedrooms, a sun room and pretty balcony, garden for good weather days when we enjoyed sitting outside, a laundry room fully equipped which had very good machines, a master bathroom with an update on a soaking tub, a steam shower and heated floors. The main room downstairs has high ceiling - very cleverly done - and large windows, some with stained glass details. All the ceilings are very interesting architecturally speaking. It is somewhere that you can make yourself at home in quite easily. The Pearl street mall, the heart of Boulder, is 10 mins walk one way. The 'local' supermarket , 10 mins the other - and less than that is the tail head for mountain hikes. I cannot imagine a more convenient location. Parking is on the street and there was never a problem finding ' our' spot right outside the door.

Boulder Bliss!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Boulder and this home for a parental get-a-way. We were all very impressed with the furnishings and decor. We all loved the red fridge. This home is cozy and has character! It was very clean, and had a lot of essentials already there. The house is located a few blocks from downtown in a lovely neighborhood. It also offers many hiking areas that are very close to house. We will definitely stay at this home again!

Felt Like Home in Boulder

  • 5 of 5

We (family of 4) booked the house for 5 days in late August. While the weather didn't deliver, the house was a huge hit with the whole family. The neighborhood has several parks to choose from for small kids, Ideal Market (Whole Foods) is only a couple of blocks away and downtown Pearl Street is a short walk. The house has a great feel to it and it was easy to settle in and feel at home. Trish was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay and afterwards (even going so far as to help me track down a missing FedEx package). We loved it.

Great house, location

  • 4 of 5

The Maxwell House is perfectly situated on a tree lined residential avenue just a few blocks from Pearl Street and everything it has to offer.

The house was perfectly equipped, with air circulation units aka fans in all the main areas. The kitchen was great both in terms of appliances, pots/pans/cutlery as well use of any condiments. The house was clean, and decorated to a high standard.

There was a small but perfectly situated, yard. We were encouraged to use the nearly new gas grill, also an upstairs balcony. Overall a great house and location for a Boulder break/stay
