Beautifully Furnished 2 Bedroom/2 Bath Plus Den, Designer Home (Sleeps 4)

Location, location, location! We are conveniently located in the center of The Villages, just a short golf cart ride to Lake Sumter Landing in the Village of Largo. Largo is unique in that it boasts 2 gorgeous pools, one for adults and one for when the grandkids visit. Our 1927SF Gardenia designer home is CBS construction and has been professionally decorated & landscaped to ensure you have a pleasant and comfortable stay. The house is light and airy with 3 solar tubes, 2 bedrooms, 2baths and a den (with a new sofa sleeper and desk) and a 2 car garage. The master bedroom suite is very spacious with a new king size bed, LED TV, his 'n her closets & sinks! Your guests are conveniently located on the opposite side of the house with their own pocket door which allows them to have their privacy. The guest room has a queen size bed, & LED TV. Enjoy your morning coffee in the oversized lanai that looks onto a park-like setting. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly want or need, just bring your clothes and toothbrush!

My husband Don & I live in Grand Rapids, MI. We are self employed in the medical industry and are looking forward to the day that we call The Villages permanently home! Both of us are from Ohio, but alas we're a house divided....Don is an avid OSU Buckeye fan, and I love the U of MI Wolverines!

Why Debbi chose The Villages

After searching many communities, nothing came close to all that The Villages offers! We fell in love with it! When we were shown this house, we were immediately attracted to the home's design, tropical landscaping and architectural features. We absolutely love the feeling we had when we walked through the front door. From the leaded glass heron front door, into the welcoming foyer, you see straight to the lanai and lush tropical landscaping. It's a wonderful open floor plan with high ceilings, a dining area as well as a breakfast nook. We often have guests come to stay and the master bedroom suite is on the opposite side of the house, ensuring our privacy, but also our guests, who by sliding a pocket door can have their own suite. As an added bonus, we loved the fact that this house looks onto a park like setting and not directly into another house.

What makes this house unique

This home is centrally located in The Villages as well as in Florida. Just under an hour to Disney, 45 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico, 65 miles to Daytona Beach. Being in the center of The Villages makes it so easy to hop onto the golf cart to any of the Town Squares for the nightly entertainment, restaurants and special events....even polo matches! Located at the heart of it all, you'll discover Largo's Bacall Recreation Center. Bocce, tennis, pickleball and shuffleboard courts abound here as well as 2 pools. Two executive golf courses wind through the neighborhood, but you can also play at any other course you'd like. There is so much to do at The Villages, this will be your best vacation ever!

My wife and I spent an outstanding week in this delightful rental. Everything was as advertised and much more! Everything looked brand new and worked perfectly including the clean golf cart, and I noticed a new gas grill that we didn't have time to use just off of the private lanai.
As former residents of The Villages we were in a position to recognize the super location of this home. With the addition of the Brownwood section you're in the middle of The Villages with easy access to everything and yet Cordova Circle is a quiet area of attractive designer homes. What more could you ask for? I'm sure that we will be using this rental in the future.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this lovely home. We found it to be as portrayed on the listing, extremely clean (my wife is very picky!), and ideally located. The bed was awesome and the sheets so silky smooth. The house is beautifully decorated and the owners took time to think of everything a guest may need during a stay. We love the Lake Sumter Landing area; the shopping and restaurant selections were excellent as was the nightly entertainment. An excellent value. We highly recommend this home.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

We spent the entire month of November 2013 at this beautiful rental home. The pictures show how well the house is decorated and upon arrival, the house even exceeded our expectations. Everything is new including the golf cart and have the latest in internet connections with Wi-Fi and Direct TV/DVR system. The owners are extremely accommodating and have a local handyman that lives just a couple of block away. The location is in the middle of the Villages and only less than 5 minutes from a major shopping/restaurant complex. We would highly recommend this house.

DO NOT...I SAY DO NOT .. let the review dated 10/1/13 deter you from renting this lovely "home away from home." The owners are fair, honest and caring people and have made every effort in assuring your stay is nothing but 1st class and enjoyable. This is evident by how lovely this home is decorated and well appointed. Also evident by the fact that the deposit was returned despite the damage done. If it had been me they would be replacing the carpets due to excessive pet damage.The contract clearly states NO PETS .
It is said that a picture is worth a 1000 words. Well there are pictures to validate the well over 22 urine stains found in the home on the day the renters vacated. Renters also stated they left it as they found it. Not so. Even the furniture in the enclosed Lanai was moved and had to be rearranged.
I have maintaind this home since it's arrival into the rental program and not once has a guest complained or mentioned soiled/ stained carpets upon arrival including these guests. They actually mentioned the clean home in their review. These carpets if not clean would have been noticed immediately upon entering. So if the stains were there why was the owner not notified? My records indicate 5 previous occupants to the arrival of the guests on 10/1/13. Two of these guests mentioned the immaculate condition in previous reviews dated 7/28/13 and 8/17/13.
Now I ask you, what would 3 different neighbors have to gain by imforming the owners of the presence of a dog(s) in the house? NOTHING ! And what would housekeeping have to gain by imforming the owners of the horrible mess on the carpets, taking the extra time to photograph the carpets and then having to spend 1 extra day in the home to clean the mess made by pets ? NOTHING ! But what would a renter gain by denying the claim of damage done? PLENTY! 1 (one) being the return of a security deposit 2 (two) the opportunity of again being allowed to rent this lovely home 3(three) the knowledge that owners and houskeepers confer with each other about the condition the renters leave the home upon vacating. I will say that 99% of the homes I maintain, both for The Villages and private owners, are in excellent condition. So a big Thank You to you all. This is never a pleasant sitution but now you have more imformation .... you decide !

Our Villages Holiday

Warning: As past residents of The Villages my husband & I were looking forward to visiting after almost 7 years away. I corresponded with the owners of this house and agreed to rent for 4 weeks in October 2013. This is a very nice house, spacious and well equipped as described in the advert, and close to pools and Lake Sumter Landing. We took good care of it during our stay, just as we would our own home. We also left it as we found it, clean and with everything in place.
I was therefore astounded when 10 days after returning home I received an email stating that our deposit would be withheld 'due to the damage the home had incurred during our stay'. We were accused of having 2 dogs and that they had urinated all over the carpet! Apparently the neighbours had complained of the dogs yipping. The owner claimed that 3 neighbours had told her this. Ridiculous Claims & Totally Untrue. We had No Dogs, or any other pets, and none visited while we were there. Furthermore, we flew in from Britain (as the owners knew) and it would have been impossible to have dogs with us!! I do not know what the owner was thinking of making such false allegations when they could so easily be proved to be untrue.....can only guess at her motives. Only when I demanded the names and addresses of the neighbours was the deposit suddenly refunded.....with No Explanation, No apology...and no names and addresses. To anyone thinking of renting this house I say......BEWARE.

Owner's Response: This review saddens us greatly. My husband & I have taken great care, and time in furnishing our home in an exceptional fashion to ensure that our guests have a great vacation. We disagree w/Sheena's review. Our housekeeper is phenomenal. She used to do cleaning for the white glove inspections for the US Navy. When she went to clean our home after Sheena had left, she called us immediately upon entering the house, to say it smelled of urine. She then found over 22 urine spots. She took pictures (available by request) documenting the stains. When she went outside, she spoke with 3 neighbors who stated they had dogs in the house, the next door neighbor said 2 dogs. I came down and spoke with these neighbors & verified it myself. Our neighbors have no reason to say this if this was not so. Housekeeping verified the carpets were stain free prior to renter's arrival and my husband & I were there ourselves 2 weeks prior to renter's arrival and the carpets looked very good. We saw no stains. Sheena did have overnight guests from the US. Sheena's emails were not pleasant and quite frankly I didn't need the extra stress as I was already dealing with an immediate family member's health crisis...I just wanted to be done with it so I refunded the deposit. Her email requesting the neighbor's names arrived AFTER I had already done so. I did send her our housekeeper's name and email address for her to speak with her directly. She never contacted her. I know our neighbor's by first names only as we just purchased the house in March, and the only time we have spent there was to prepare the house for rental and when we came back to have the granite installed. I am a Christian woman and I take offense at her suggestions of my inappropriate motives and untruthfulness. If you were in our place, and your trusted and proven housekeeper tells you what she finds, then 3 neighbors tell her about the dogs, and then I go and verify it, what would you think? How does unstained carpet go to over 22 documented urine stains? We had to have the carpet spot treated and cleaned twice before the stains came out.

We love the awesome, free nightly music and dancing at all 3 of the Town Squares, 365 days/year. The Villages is a very active community with over a 1000 activities/month, over 50 golf courses, 4 fitness centers and pools for every village. No car? No problem! Just take the shuttle from Orlando airport. Everywhere in The Villages is golf cart accessible! From the grocery store, to restaurants & shopping, to medical offices and the hospital, to church, all can be done via golf cart. Riding throughout the beautifully maintained grounds is so enjoyable. We've never seen or been to any area like The Villages!!
