I am an artist and fell in love with this area of the Blue Ridge Mountains when I was taking classes at Penland School of Crafts. Eventually, my husband and I decided we would like to have a second home in this beautiful, peaceful place.
When we saw the view from this property we knew we had found our second home!
Elaine Lamb purchased this house in 1999
Every holiday lends itself to this mountain top retreat; from local festivals to celebrate the rhododendron, to family gatherings for Fourth of July fireworks, the autumn gold forest of fall to the cross country skiing at Christmas.
While there is perfect quiet and solitude on the mountain there is a town with all the ammenities just a mile or so below. So while you can enjoy the peace of nature, you are not far from town.
