Oceanfront 4 bedroom
We were a group of 9 people – 3 couples, with one couple with 3 children ages 15,9 and 2. We wanted a 4 bedroom property, close to the beach, at a per-night cost that was no more than a reasonable hotel or resort. Full kitchen was a must.
With a few e-mails, and then a conversation with Terri, we were able to complete the reservation with no issues at all. The application form is quite reasonable, and I will note that unlike other owners, this one does NOT require a SSN. I was going to bring along a small 14’ Sunfish (trailered), and Terri was accommodating enough to allow the boat to stay on-property (a close walk to take it to the beach), and to have the trailer stored off-site. Though I never did bring the boat, this was an “above-and-beyond” level of service which made us all feel quite relaxed – even before we had seen the home.
Arrival & Stay
We chose the Villa, a 4 bedroom, 2 bath home, located well off South Atlantic Avenue, as part of a group of three homes which share access to the beach. The shared beach-facing property was plenty big enough for all of us plus the other families at the other 2 homes. Had I taken my Sunfish, access to the water was super easy – walk to sea wall, and then another little walk.
We arrived an hour past the 4:00 PM check-in time. Instructions to access the home were given prior to arrival, and both finding the home and getting in were hassle-free.
The home was immaculately clean, well furnished, and ready to go. Full and perfectly stocked kitchen with all appliances in GREAT shape and all functions worked. Beds were clean, mattresses just fine, and large enough for everyone. Plenty of closet space for all our gear, too. The living/dining area is an open concept, so we had plenty of space for us to all sit and eat or relax. Full, yes, but we never felt cramped. The washer spin cycle was not functioning correctly, but the maintenance person came and told us this, and also that it was in process of being fixed. Dryer was useful for wet towels from the beach.
The patio was plenty big enough for all of us. Of course, once you were on the patio and saw the beach, we went to the beach instead ? There is a BBQ which was perfect for our group – large surface, and temperature was perfectly fine.
Lower patio area (closest to the beach) had more seating and a table, was well lit, and had 2 showers for rinsing after a day at the beach.
