About Marcia Galbraith
I live in Irvine, California where I am a first grade teacher. I lived for many years in Santa Barbara California where I raised a family of three boys. I enjoy southern California but I love the mountains and lakes. My sports are hiking, biking and kayaking.
Marcia Galbraith purchased this condo in 2010
Why Marcia Galbraith chose Gardner Mountain
I grew up in Coeur D'Alene Idaho where the lakes and forests were my playground. My parents moved to California and there I became a teacher and raised a family. After many years I longed for the the beauty of the mountains and lakes. On a camping trip to Tahoe I visited the condo complex called St. Francis of the Woods Condominiums. I knew immediatedly I wanted to own one of the condos right next to the National Forest where I could walk out my door to a trail through the forest to Fallen Leaf Lake. After hiking this trail (5 miles) I realized it was also used for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The scenery along this trail and the lake are breathtaking.
I feel my condo should be shared with others like me who enjoy the outdoors and the various sports enjoyed in the summer and winter. Since I am still a teacher I can only come during the summer and a few holidays during the winter. I would like to share this wonderful condo with others like me who come to Tahoe to get back to nature and renew their spirit.
What makes this condo unique
I feel perfectly safe here and it is quiet in the evening. I am surrounded by trees and have view of the forest from my living room and kitchen table. I feel cozy during the evenings with my pellet stove and comfy bed. The bike bath is directly across the road, launching a kayak is minutes away at Pope Beach or Camp Richardson.
