Seattle House Rental Photos and Description
Quality Quaint and Clean - 1 block from Lake
Completely up to date charming and modern 1901 Greenlake Tangletown bunglow with covered porch to relax and view the garden. This is a stand-alone house- not an apartment, so no one is above or below you. Sleeps up to 4 people; 2 in the bedroom's queen bed and 2 in the full sized new pull out couch in the living room. Living room zones off as a separate space with a solid wood pocket door for privacy like a 2nd bedroom. Dimmable lighting plus floor and ceiling lighting creates the perfect atmosphere to meet your needs. Greenlake is a vibrant Seattle activity destination, loved for its 2.8 mile path around the lake. Leisurely strolling to avid exercising draws people in from the greater area, plus a public pool, boat rentals, children's play area, tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts, and its close proximity to many coffee shops and unique restaurants makes this area enjoyable for all. A Walk to the Seattle Zoo and Rose gardens is only 1.3 miles.

About Mike LaVigne
Original Seattleites, my wife and I live next door to the bungalow which was originally purchased by my great grand-parents in 1924. We enjoy neighborhood walks with our dog to the lake and coffee shops, gardening and traveling.

Why Mike LaVigne chose Seattle
Family History! The 1909 World's Fair at the University of Washington drew my grandfather from Michigan for his first visit west and he instantly fell in love with Seattle. He returned 15 years later in 1924 to realize his dream of moving West with his wife and 2 young children - my grandfather and great-aunt. The four of them enjoyed the bungalow for four years while they built themselves a larger home next door, where my wife and I fortunately resided for the past 20 years. Needless to say, I'm sentimentally rooted to the property and all the wonderful family memories I've experienced here. We love the character of this very quiet and charming neighborhood, plus the quick central proximity to greater Seattle. I hope you'll enjoy the property as much as we do.
What makes this house unique
100+ year old established and quiet neighborhood offers close proximity to downtown, a 2 minute walk to the lake path, and a 5-10 minute walk to funky coffee shops and wide variety of restaurants and bars. Our favorite restaurants are a 5 minute walk: fine French dining at Eva's, Sushi at Kisaku, Burgers/Beer at Elysian Brewery, and hotdogs at Diggity Dog... end with coffee or tea at Zoka (oh yes, don't forget to start your day with a vegan doughnut at Mighty-O), the list goes on!
