This is also a prime viewing spot for nesting seabirds, as well as sea lions that sun themselves up on the rocks!
In addition to the ample sea life right outside the window, the living room also features a cozy gas fireplace and flat-screen TV with a DVD player. You'll have a tough time deciding whether you want to look for pelicans and seagulls flying outside, or watch a DVD in front of the fire. There's also cable and WiFi throughout the cottage for even more entertainment opportunities.
A dining room table with seating for four is located right by even more ocean-facing windows. In the spring and winter, enjoy buttermilk pancakes and coffee for breakfast while keeping an eye out for whales. The full kitchen also has slate tile floors, and includes all the appliances needed for delicious vacation meals, whether it's a simple bowl of cherry oat granola in the morning or a lemon-roasted chicken at night, and a post-dinner glass of wine in front of the fire.
Step outside the cottage to the beautiful lawn or the deck to catch closer views of soaring eagles or the waves crashing into the cove directly below. There is a briquette barbecue for use as well, so dinner could easily be some grilled salmon served al fresco style. After the meal, you'll want to take some time to linger outdoors and watch the sunset.
A spacious bedroom has a queen sized bed, hardwood floors, bedside tables and reading lamps, and ocean-themed art on the walls. Sink down into the bed at night while you listen to the sounds of the ocean. After a restful night's sleep, slip past the plush area rug and out the sliding glass doors to enjoy some coffee on the deck. And if you want to sleep in, there's even heavy, dark drapes to keep the light at bay until you're ready to greet the day.
Off the kitchen, there's a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo that also has a stacked washer and dryer. So don't be afraid to take off your sandals and walk along the beach. If your pant legs get a little wet, you can have dry clothes back at the house in no time, thanks to the provided washer/dryer. This one bedroom, one bath cottage will sleep four people quite comfortably. Please note that this bedroom is adjacent to the living area and does not have a door attached. If you do have a larger group, Pirate Cove Cottage 2, a two-bedroom, two bath home, is right next door and ready for eight additional guests.
