Let us tell you a little more
Come experience the luxe and quiet of our spacious loft in the heart of downtown. Furnished and decorated with a European design sense, modern yet warm and inviting, you will start relaxing the minute you step inside. Everything is designed for your comfort. Clean, peaceful and perfectly outfitted: our loft has everything for the discerning traveler. Spend the day eating, drinking and making merry, or spend it rafting, hiking and playing (you can store your road or mountain bikes in our building). Then come back to your centrally located loft, rest, put your feet up, and get ready to go out again into the vibrant nightlife of Asheville. There is a restaurant with a James Beard Award nominated chef on the corner of your street (Table); his den of mixology, with out-of-this-world cocktails, is one flight of stairs up from there (The Imperial Life). Or how about a loungey bar for chocolate lovers, with wine, of course, but also handmade bonbons and spectacular deserts so good that the line often stretches out the door (French Broad Chocolate Lounge)? Walk down the street and around the corner, and you're there. You are also next door to the south's finest shoe store with its 300 brands and staff of personal shoppers (Tops for Shoes). Those are just a few of the many, many fun things to do in asheville. You can catch a play at the Asheville Community Theatre or a movie at the Fine Arts cinema. Or how about a leisurely stroll to the River Arts District, to visit artists in their studios and have a beer at The Wedge? Speaking of beer, famous local artisanal beers and their brewers are calling your name! See what's brewing and sample what's new at the many downtown bars and breweries. Watch the sun set on Cold Mountain at Asheville's highest elevation bar (The Sky Bar). Go hear a live band at the famous Orange Peel. Take a Pilates or yoga class and have a spa treatment. So many things to do, so much to see. You can go days without using your car, which is safely and affordably parked, off street, right across from your front door.

Our loft is brand new, and we are very proud of it. We are Ricardo (born in Colombia, entrepreneur and business owner) and Claudia (born in Holland, writer and interior designer). We moved to Asheville 12 years ago, after traveling and living all over the world, and we love our town! It is a wonderful place to raise our family and we would love to share its fun and rewarding experiences with you. Asheville has everything: stunning natural beauty surrounding it, vibrant culture, great food, distinctive architecture, interesting people, a relaxed and safe pace, and so many things to do, see, taste and enjoy that you will want to stay longer. We are both deeply involved in the local community and know the restaurateurs, artists, micro brewers, outdoor enthusiasts (or Pilates teachers, massage therapists, chocolatiers, zipliners,) that you want to meet. We look forward to welcoming you!
Claudia Konijn purchased this apartment in 2013
We had our eye on this building for a long time. It housed the Rankin Press, a historical Asheville business, and has a real urban appeal. It is beautifully situated and we were very excited when we heard it would be renovated for mixed residential and commercial use. Our block is so vibrant and has so much to offer; shops, restaurants, bars, a salon, a brewery, residential apartments, galleries. But our loft is away from the street and offers complete quiet and seclusion, in the middle of downtown! Truly the best of all worlds.
Our loft has the beauty of a historic building: original wooden floors, exposed brick walls, high ceilings. But it is modern at the same time, and very easy to live in. What is most attractive about it is the sense of privateness and retreat that you get when you step inside. We love spending time here!
This was our first time visiting downtown Asheville. The loft was absolutely beautiful! You couldn't ask for a better location- we did not use our car once all weekend. Renter went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. She is extremely organized. It made our trip so much more relaxing. We will definitely be planning another trip and this loft would be our first pick.
My husband and I enjoyed a two night stay here. The location can't be beat. Two parking decks directly across the street and can walk to anything in town. The building was secure and the loft was very clean and updated. The kitchen was nicely stocked with plenty of coffee, tea, etc. Perfect for two people. Claudia was extremely helpful and attentive during the check in process and throughout. We would definitely come back again!
A beautiful loft-like apartment, located right in the center of Asheville.
We had a GREAT stay. We absolutely loved Asheville, and the loft. We both probably gained 5 pounds on the trip! Lots of great recommendations from Claudia, and we didn't need a car for the entire weekend. The loft is gorgeous and modern, but still felt homey. Would come again!
This was my first experience using VRBO, and now cant imagine a reason to ever use anything else. We had an amazing time and did not want to leave! The building itself is spectacular, as is the rental itself. My fiancé, myself, and our dear friend stayed for a weekend in July to catch a Terpsicorps performance. My fiancé and I lived in Asheville for years many moons ago, and this was a perfect homecoming.
The location is ideal, we walked everywhere, including to the Diana Wortham Theatre (in 4" heels) without a problem. There is a restaurant or bar literally around the corner of the entrance of the Rankin building, ideal for everyone, with noise never being an issue. The time or two we drove our car to travel to West Asheville, we found parking to be a breeze, even in the height of summer tourism. The loft is conveniently located right next to two parking garages.
We had a small cocktail hour at the loft and hosted several old friends. The kitchen had everything we needed to whip up some appetizers and there was just enough room for several couples to talk and move around comfortably. Instructions left for arrival/departure/during etc were crystal clear, and so sweet and helpful. The loft itself definitely has that 'wow' factor when entering, I loved seeing my fiancé and friends faces when they entered, had to pat myself on the back for picking such an awesome place, it truly lived up to my expectations!
The only piece of advice is that there is not a door to close off the bedroom, and the rollaway is tucked in a space off the bedroom, making privacy nonexistent, so we just wheeled the rollaway after some maneuvering into the main living area so our female friend could be more comfortable and everyone could enjoy privacy. I would assume some wouldn't even bother with that and could just crash on the couch, but we wanted her to be comfortable and she said the rollaway slept wonderfully!
I would recommend this rental to anyone and everyone I know, and anytime we come back to visit Asheviile, we will most definitely be staying here every time! Cheers!
We spent five days in this very comfortable and clean loft. Within minutes of arriving, we wanted to move in for a month or more! Great location, short walking distance to many dining, shopping, and entertainment opportunities. Convenient parking across the street. The bed is top quality. And the kitchen is extremely well equipped with modern appliances, utensils, and a generous quantity of plates, dishes, and silverware. The hosts communicated well with us prior to our stay, during our stay, and afterward. Text messages were answered within minutes. And they were very flexible with respect to check out schedule. They went out of their way to make our stay a memorable experience and I am confident they will do the same for you.
