Located in the gated Puamana community. A highly desirable and rare end-unit facing the ocean, this one bedroom, two bath townhome features an enlarged and expanded living room and bedroom resulting in additional square footage in both the living areas and the bedroom.

With a southern exposure, it is very light; bright; and sunny throughout the beautiful Maui days. There is a peek/partial view of the surfing beach; the ocean; and the Southern tip of Lanai from our entry lanai; the living room couch; and the rear lanai. Not a panoramic view but it's just so very nice to see the ocean from your living room couch! Please see our photos.

Located just 90 steps from Puamana's seasonal beach and ocean access for surfing; boogie boarding; swimming; relaxing on the beach; or just relaxing on the expansive grass area overlooking the surf and the neighbor island views. Primo sunset viewing here!

We are a short walk to the amazing ocean pool; the gazebo; the tennis court; and the clubhouse or an even shorter walk to the Dolphin pool.

Our unit was completely remodeled in 2013 and features an all new kitchen with granite counter tops; all new appliances; all new custom cabinets; and all new fixtures. Both bathrooms were also completely redone with dual vanities in the master bathroom and a new, spacious, tiled shower. The second bath has a new, tiled shower/tub combo. Each has granite counter tops and all new fixtures.

We have quality tropical decor and Hawaiian-style furnishings throughout our home. It's Hawaii!

The sunny and open rear lanai has easy access for your bicycles; beach gear; card-playing; relaxing; having pu-pu's; BBQing; and features the same peek view of the ocean and the island of Lanai.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need for an enjoyable vacation: blender; microwave; coffee maker; and dishwasher.

There is an ironing board and iron--you won't be using that!--42' flat screen TV in the living room; DVD player; 32' flat screen TV in the bedroom; FREE wireless internet; telephone answering machine; free local phone service; air conditioning in the bedroom; ceiling fans throughout the home; bed linens; towels; a washer and dryer; and a propane gas BBQ grill. Two high-back beach chairs and a beach umbrella are waiting for you. We pick up the cleaning fees for stays over 7 days!

About Property Owner

After having stayed in Puamana numerous times over the years since the late 1970's, we were in the fortunate position to be able to purchase our unit and jumped at the opportunity. Since our purchase, we have completely remodeled the interior and the lanai areas; upgraded the furnishings; and are finally ready to share our home as a vacation rental. We have decorated the unit 'Hawaiian 'style' and hope that you are as comfortable in our home away from home as you are in your own home.

If you enjoy Maui but haven't been to Puamana, we think that you are in for a treat. Away from the noise and crowds of Kaanapali, Puamana is a serene; secure; and beautiful spot to enjoy; relax; and rejuvenate. Close to all the activity in Lahainatown, the harbor; shopping; restaurants; and a short drive to the beaches; sites; and restaurants of Kaanapali; Kahana; Napili; and Kapalua.

What makes this townhome unique

Our unit has a light; bright; and sunny southern exposure. Our end-unit location has extra, ocean side windows for the view; more sunlight; and as important, we have the benefit of the ocean breezes day and night. We have a partial view of the ocean and the island of Lanai. Our rear lanai is sunny throughout the day. We think that we have a great location within Puamana. We are directly across from the main seasonal beach; the ocean access; and the evening sunset viewing from the expansive grass area overlooking the surf. The only units between you and the beach are the larger ocean front units.

Wonderful vacation home

We found this property comfortable, clean and beautiful. There is plenty of room and everything you'll need for a great vacation. The owners have prepared the property so well and their property manager, Whalers, is very easy to work with if any issues arise.

4 1/2 stars. Good value for money. Almost 5 stars. Rental house immediately South of Lahaina.

We extended our stay here at 139-4 to a full 2 weeks in March 2015. So convenient to Lahaina where the free 3 hour parking on Front Street is much easier to find than you would think! The unit parking is directly in front of the door but not so obvious in the pictures. There is parking for 5 units and everyone was real quiet and nice neighbors.

The 2 bathrooms and pull out sleeper coach is great for flexible living quarters. The washer and drier in the house are a great idea and we used them a lot. There is a wall AC unit only in the bedroom and it seemed adequate for our stay, although the weather was generally cooler than normal here this year.

The TVs and wireless internet were 4 star and worked well. The cookout grill is outstanding. The walk along the ocean was a daily morning exercise for me at day break and I strolled the grassy edge from one end of the gated community to the other end. There is no beach here which was damaged by a storm and was washed away in January 2015. It’s a shame and no doubt it will return. There is however a public beach just South of the community and well used. We typically drove and parked at Whalers Village for the big beach.

All in all, a great time and although Maui is so much more crowded these days than years ago, the convenient location of this community immediately South of Lahaina cannot be overstated.

My overall 4 ½ star out of 5 star rating is only because there is no beach here this year and because this unit is not directly on the ocean. The updated decor and appliances and bathrooms and showers are 5 star.

This VRBO unit is really good value for money but of course you can always spend more money here in Maui for a full ocean view if you need it.

Finally the property manager here is first class and always available via email. A real treat when you have questions and cannot find the kitchen dimmer switch.

Great Vacation Rental in Puamana / Lahaina

We loved this 1 bedroom place. The location in Puamana makes it far enough from downtown Lahaina to be out of the noise but close enough for a walk or a short bike ride. We rented beach cruisers for the week and biked all over Lahaina and Kaanapali and left the car back at the place. The house is very clean and has all of the comforts of home; it is equipped with everything you need and looks to have been recently updated. For all you surfers, there are waves in Puamana and they are not easy to access if you are not staying in the neighborhood. The house is right across the street from the beach and a one minute walk gets you to the surf. We will definitely book this place again on our next trip to Maui. Aloha!

Puamana Townhome

I highly recommend renting this property. It is right across from the beach. You can see the ocean looking out the front door. If you are a surfer the waves are right there and water is plenty warm. The whole complex is beautifully maintained.

The townhome appears to been recently remodeled with a great kitchen and bathrooms. The patio is great for nightly BBQ's in a very quiet setting. It was very clean when we checked in and comes with everything you need.

It is an easy walk to Lahaina town, but recommend renting bikes. A good place to rent is Boss Frogs in Lahaina town.

My wife and would rent this property again and have mentioned to all our friends.

Paradise made perfect!

This little townhouse is the ideal size and has everything you need for an amazing stay on Maui. Here you will find so much more than a condo: spacious, fully loaded kitchen, patio with grill for entertaining, washer/dryer, 2 TVs, 2 bathrooms and an air conditioned master bedroom. The rest of the unit remained cool by ocean breezes and several fans.

This unit is located in Puamana which is a gated community; we enjoyed our choice of 3 pools, a quick walk to the beach and a 15 min. walk/ 5 min. drive into Lahaina.

Other perks: classic Hawaiian décor, impeccably clean with great, remodeled updates, and everything you need for the beach (beach chairs, mats, body boards, umbrellas)

Plus owners Sean and Gretchen were extremely helpful during the booking process, they answered all of our questions and made us feel right at home. We plan to return to this little piece of paradise!

We stayed at this Oceanview Townhome for a few weeks and BOY, what a vacation...

With the ocean a few steps away; it is total relaxation !

The condo is perfectly laid out and beautifully decorated in traditional Hawaiian style.

The kitchen is adorable and the outdoor lanai is PERFECT for bbq's each evening.

VERY clean condo and PUAMANA is amazing !!! With tennis, pools and very close to Lahaina town ! I cannot wait to return.. .Peaceful and serene !

Maximum occupancy of two adults. Please forward names of intended occupants, confirm date 'in' and date 'out'; your address; your contact phone number; and your e-mail address. Your information is then forwarded to our licensed Maui property management company for follow-up, which occurs within 48 hours. They handle all the deposits and payments. They are also available during your stay in case anything requires attention. They will request a 3 nights stay deposit by credit card. The final payment is due 45 days prior to arrival and is paid by check. Reservations made less than 45 days early require full payments. Cancellation fee is $40 after the reservation is confirmed.
