You will feel all your worries slip away once you walk in the front door of our inviting 2BR/2BA Summerland home. The vaulted ceilings and open floor plan give our main living area a peaceful and spacious feel. Our kitchen overlooks the dining/living room with spectacular ocean and sunset views. It comes fully equipped for all your cooking needs. We suggest eating out on the front deck while watching for whales, dolphin and sunsets (this year we have had three whale sightings). Both bedrooms are located to the right of the main living area. Our master bedroom suite comes complete with a European king size bed, 42"" TV with cable and DVD player. The spacious en-suite bathroom has dual sinks and a unique stand up shower. Our second bedroom has a comfy queen-sized bed and access to the private back patio and garden area, and the en-suite bathroom has a shower/tub combo. One of the living room sofas folds out into a queen-size bed for extra guests.

Our amazing home is located walking distance (less than half a mile) from Summerland Beach and Lookout Park with sand volleyball, playgrounds and picnic areas. There is so much to enjoy nearby, including great antiquing, wine tasting, Santa Barbara-style shopping from the well-loved boutiques of Bonita, Botanik, Bikini Factory, Indian Summer and others, as well as casual cafes and popular eateries. Kids and adults alike love Summerland's charming Lookout Park and neighborhood-to-hillside hiking trails. Best of all, you are just minutes to Santa Barbara, Montecito and Carpinteria.

Gorgeous spot/ super-comfortable home

We absolutely loved our stay. Our family of four were here for ten days in this super-comfortable home with spectacular ocean views. The beds are wonderful, the kitchen is perfectly appointed, the furnishings are just-our-style tasteful, and the South-facing deck gets the greatest sunset views. We got to meet the owner Betty, who is terrific. The furnishings, the light, the views, the landscaping …it’s all fantastic. Additionally, we got to explore Summerland with Luna Café for coffee & pastries in the morning, Cantwell’s Market which I walked to for groceries (if we didn’t go to Vons in Montecito or Trader Joe’s on Milpas ) and The Nugget for dinner. We had a great hike on the close-by Summerland trial for views from the Channel Islands to the Santa Ynes Mountains: truly spectacular. To address some issues with other reviews: 1.The downstairs tenant is a sweetheart and you’ll see him only occasionally and never hear him 2. There’s a terrific 12 cup coffee maker in the wonderful kitchen 3. It’s true you’re only about 200 yards from the freeway but the noise didn’t bother us at all; what you get is super-proximity to the Santa Barbara Channel and all its glory right in front of you. Thank you to Betty and the property management company for our wonderful stay.

Super comfortable, outstanding

There were five of us girlfriends who had a fabulous time on a long weekend in this home. The accommodations are hip, beachy, clean, and relaxed with a lovely view of the ocean and sunset from a large deck and the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The home is immaculate, inside and out. It's close to everything in Summerland-- just a few minutes walk into town and the beach. The only negs: It was probably a bit small for 5 single gals, but would be perfect for two couples and a 1-2 children. As another review mentioned, the coffee maker is too small (makes 2 1/2 cups), and one of the showers doesn't really work (I just used the bathtub). Also the freeway noise might bother some. Overall, though, I would highly recommend this house.

We have rented most of the VRBOhouses in Summerland and this is our favorite. Very comfortable. Sunsets every evening and two outdoor dining options (front porch and back yard)

Beautiful property with spectacular view!

Great place. We spent a lot of time just lounging on the deck, awed by the sunsets and view of Santa Barbara. Very well maintained, clean, and comfortable with wood burning fireplace and stereo system with speakers outside on on the deck.

The pictures of the property don't do it justice, but the description was accurate, and the rental company (TurnKey) helped with several things I called about. It's very close to several neighborhood restaurants, shops and a small market/deli, and a quick drive to a larger city (Carpinteria) for major grocery stores and great antique stores and restaurants. Of course, Santa Barbara is just a little farther drive for even more shopping, and activities.
We recommend this property, and we'll be back again. Enjoy!
