The house 'Georgios-on-Sea' was built in 2007 with people in mind who seek peace and quiet, room to breathe, and who long to experience Nature at its best. It was built on a gently flowing hillside in Antiparos, a serene, sparsely populated Aegean Island. It has a wide panoramic view of the sea and neighbouring islands, some of which are uninhabited. The fascinating construction makes this house a jewel of Cycladishe architecture, which includes the combination of the colours 'white and blue' and the use of natural stones. The house is furnished with quality items and all necessary equipment for comfortable self-catering. It has approx. 50 square metres living psce, a south and a west terrace. The living/dining room is on the ground floor with a kitchennette, 2 large single beds, teak furnishings and a shower with toilet. The main bedroom upstairs has a double bed, two washing cubicles and a toilet. The house is ideal for 4 persons and a small child. A pergola is currently being built.

Terrace on west and south sides: There are two terraces of different sizes. The terrace on the west side is the largest of the two, and here a bamboo pergola is being built to give more shade and to provide more protection from the sun. Completion date, May 2009. The picture of the pergola is not yet available on the Internet. The smaller terrace is near the house entrance, and has a large sun umbrella.

Bedroom: The robust furnishings is new, the mattresses as well as the beds and bedclothes are also new and of the highest quality. The main bedroom is fitted with a wardrobe, night tables and a dressing table. The windows have dark curtains and also shutters. Towels and bath rugs are provided in sufficient quantity.

The two large single-beds downstairs are outfitted exactly the same as the main bedroom upstairs, however, without night tables.

There are window shutters here also.

Kitchenette: In the kitchenette, there is a refrigerator, a cooker with four cooking plates, a grill, as well as a a sink. The kitchenette is well equipped with plates, cups, eating utensils, etc. enough for six persons. The round teak table is also sufficient for six persons.

There is a coffee maker, a water-heater, a garden-grill and a hairdryer.

The holiday home 'Georgios-on-Sea' is located on Antiparos Island which, together with the neighbouring islands Paros and Naxos belong to the central Cyclades in the Aegean. From the ferry station, one drives to the village St. Georgios (Agios Georgios) from where the house 'Georgios-on-Sea' is only 2 km farther. 'Georgios-on-Sea' is a detached house located in a sparsly built-up area, and offers unrestricted 180 degree view of the sea. It is ideal for accommodating 4 persons and a child, and is recommended for people yearning for tranquillity and unrestricted fredom. Restaurants, bars, sandy beaches and a marina is only 2 km from the house. The nearest shops are in Antiparos, approx. 10 minutes away. From the capital Athens, it takes approx. 25 minutes by plane to reach the island Paros. By ferryboat the journey is about 4 hours, or by Hovercraft 2 1/2 hours. Crossing from Paros to Antiparos, one can hire a car and drive the 10 km to the holiday home 'Georgios-on-Sea.

  • The daily rental costs are between 85.-€ and 100 Euro.

    Arrival on every day possible. Minimum stay is 5 nights during pre and off seasons, 1 week during main season A, 9 nights during main season B and 2 weeks during main season C. The cost for cleaning at the end of the rental period is 65 Euro. The owner requests a deposit of 200 Euros at the signing of the Rental Agreement, which will be immediately repaid at the end of the rental period.

    The owner asks for leaving the house till 11.00 am.
    Guests can move into the house after 15.00 pm.

  • The upstairs bathroom is equipped with a flexible showerhead, however, no shower basin is provided. The house has warm and cold water. The heating-up time for warm water is approximately 8 minutes. As in most southern European countries, the water in the house is not meant for human consumption and, therefore, the purchase of locally available mineral water is recommended. 'Georgios-on-Sea' is a one storey detached house with only one neighbouring house nearby, which is situated about 8 metres away on the north side. Its owner is normally in residence only twice a year thus, guests in the holiday home 'Georgios-on-Sea' may immerse themselves in the luxury of peace and quiet offered by the unique location of this house in the open landscape.

  • The upstairs bedroom is conceived as an open-plan room, and is connected to the ground floor by stairs. This room has a spectacular and captivating view of the Aegean Sea and surrounding landscape. The furniture is new and made of solid wood; bedclothes and mattresses are all new and of the highest quality. Thre are curtains,night tables with lamps as well as a dressing table and storage space. The floor is wood, covered with floor-boards. There is also a toilet. Two large single beds are provided in the downstairs living/dining room with similar outfittings as in the main bedroom. The house is ideal for one family, but because of the open-plan of the main bedroom, would only suit two pairs of persons with certain restrictions. The placing of a baby bed is possible. Because of the open-plan of the main bedroom, it is strongly recommended that small children should sleep only on the ground floor. In addition, a fifth person may also be put up on a temporary basis.

Notes: The downstairs bed/living room has a kitchenette, a shower and a toilet. The main bedroom upstairs, has a shower and also a toilet. There are teak chairs as sitting places for six persons. There are four cushioned garden chairs available on the stone terraces, as well as two recently upholstered sun-beds and two sun-umbrellas. The surrounding garden - which is being left in its natural state - is approxiamately 1100 square metres in size and is partially fenced off, adding to the pleasing feeling of boundless freedom.

This is a fantastic house in a beautiful part of the Island of Antiparos. One of the best islands in the Aegean. Not overcrowded (like Paros) with a great selection of restaurants to choose from and picturesque tavernas by the sea. This is Greece as you imagine it. Heidi & Mario
