Flip Flop is so named because the Kitchen, 1 Living Area, Dining Room and 1 of the Master Bedroom is on the third level. There is a large deck up with covered and shady space as well as uncovered to get some sun. There are 3 bedrooms, two baths, a second living area with 50' HDTV, laundry with high capacity W/D and covered deck as well on the lower or second level. The home is on stilts 18 feet above the ground and has great unobstructed views in all directions. The Kitchen has bar seating, stainless appliances and an icemaker. Look at the pictures and see the beautiful décor. This home has over 1,200 square feet of deck on two levels to enjoy the constant breeze and sounds of the ocean.

About Tim

We fell in love with the area because of it's proximity to Surfside and Galveston. After searching for 2 years we found the perfect lot and have just finished building 'our' dream getaway.

Still Our Favorite

Our family has stayed at the Flip Flop House once before, and it continues to be our favoriite beach getaway. Very close to the beach (which is so lighly trafficked, and primarily families), the house is elegant, clean, and very user-friendly. Views and sea breeze, and every room is comfortable and beautiful.

Second visit just as special

Our family of 3 generations (8 people) spent spring break here. Our first visit was when the property was brand new. I'm pleased to report that the owners have absolutely kept up with the maintenance and cleanliness of the property. They respect their guests by assuming that the guests will be responsible, too. By this I mean: top tier linens, large capacity washer/dryer, flat screen TV's in every room, quality cookware and appliances, reliable wifi, etc. There is plenty of room to segregate the kids from the adults, which allows every age to enjoy some peace and quiet. This location is perfect when small children are along, because it's a very short walk to the family-friendly beach where there is no vehicular traffic. Keep up the good work!

BEAUTIFUL CLEAN HOUSE!!

After staying in the Surfside area the past 4 years, we decided to give Treasure Island a try... We are so glad we did. The beach area is much more laid back and I didn't have to worry about my children getting in front of a car or excessive seaweed. The beach was so very inviting.

Flip Flop was just as beautiful as the pictures posted. I have stayed in a few beach homes that when we arrive the home doesn't look anything like the advertisement. This one was exactly as advertised. My family would describe me as a neat freak, so on most vacations I am a little nervous to stay in places that other people may have stayed and might not be so clean. This place was CLEAN! We loved the layout of the home and all the room to spread out. Tim (homeowner) was very helpful and available in just a phone call... We will definitely stay again.

What a GREAT Place to stay!

The layout if perfect for two or three families...lots of space and close to the beach! The place is so fresh, clean, and has lots of little "extras" that really help out the guests. We had two toddlers and one 5 year old with us and they LOVED the safe closed in decks! We traveled in Sept. and mostly had the beach to ourselves!

Beautiful Home

This home is immaculate. All of the top notch amenities we could have hoped for. The covered deck was nice and large and we used it as much as we could while we were there. The beds were all comfortable and the bathrooms were beautiful. We enjoyed having a second living room area and a Wii for the kids to use while the adults used the main living room area to relax and watch tv. We would love to stay at this home again in the future. The correspondence with the owners before, during and after our stay was much appreciated.

Kudos from a repeat guest

We stayed at Flip Flop a year ago - I think we were one of the first guests. Coming back did not disappoint! the furniture and exterior of the house are comfortable and well maintained. The appliances are all top-quality. This house is situated maybe 150 feet from the beach access bridge - going to the beach is SO easy. The neighborhood seems to have plenty of guests, but the house and area are quiet. Even with some lights from surrounding properties, the stars visible from the upstairs deck are breathtaking.

It is a great house for younger children - plenty of space to run around, but contained so they can't get into too much trouble.

We can't wait to return!
