Our family just returned from a 4 day stay at this residence. It was not at all what we expected. The condition of the very dated cabin leaves a lot to be desired. The stove did not work. Only one burner, when jiggled, would function. The dishwasher sounded like it was on its last legs. The coffee pot did not work. The upstairs toilet drained so slowly that we only used the downstairs toilet to avoid any chance at an overflow. The showerhead in the first floor bathroom was broken so that it would not stay attached. You had to hold the showerhead the whole time you were showering. There was a washer and dryer but there was no detergent, only laundry booster which is supplemental to detergent. The cable TV was nothing more that the Network channels plus a few others like CSPAN and the Home Shopping Network. There is shampoo and soap but no Kleenex and the paper towels are wafer thin. Some of the electrical outlets did not seem to work. When we attempted to charge our phones, some were dead ion the morning and hadn't charged at all.
The cabin has one bedroom on the second floor. There are 5 other beds on the second floor. One is separated by a privacy screen Two twins and a bunk bed are in the main part of the room. There is also a bunk bed in the laundry room. However in the winter this is a very cold room.
But the worst issue is what occurred during our stay on Sunday February 22nd. While skiing at Squaw Valley with my wife and oldest son, our 1 year old son and babysitter were alone in this house. A vehicle pulled into the driveway and a young woman exited the vehicle and went to the door near the shop entrance. Unannounced, She then proceeded to open the door possibly with key from the lockbox. Shen entered the house, went through the shop to the inside stairs where our babysitter opened the door at the top of the stairs to ask who she was. The woman mumbled something about housekeeping and needing to drop a bag off and rushed past our frightened babysitter. She put the bag in a locked closet. The other issues are mere annoyances but a stranger able to enter the house unannounced at any hour is reason enough not to stay there again..
My family enjoyed our stay here. Nice quiet neighborhood and the place was very clean.
