KEY*** Solar powered so you are not subjected to twice daily town power cut offs which are 5 hours mid-day and 4 hours middle of night. Outdoor shower, gated, locked storage for boards, Custom cabinets and Mexican tile through-out home. Walk to Dan's Pizza or the Burro restaurant for dinner. No TV but lots of books, MP3 and IPOD dock, internet WiFI upon request.

About Owner/Property Manager

I came to San Juanico in 2008 with the intention of staying for only a few years. Fell in love with it I stayed for 5.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose San Juanico

This home is in a very quiet part of town but close enough to walk to stores, restaurants or beaches. Again...the solar power is bonus. There is nothing worse than being on vacation and have no power for most of the day. Neighbors are longtime residents and respectful of peace and quiet. Dogs OK with deposit.

More that what I expected!

We received more than what was expected! A gorgeous and well maintained home. Everything was as described. I heard complaints from many travelers about the horrible heat and how the town power was turned off promptly at 11 pm leaving them with no fans but we had solar. Fans, Wifi internet, ice you name it. The house was custom built and it was obvious that a lot of love went into it. The owner and manager were available at all times and went above and beyond what was hoped for from the moment of our first inquiry. This is a home we will return to and enjoy for many more years!

Wonderful home away from home

My two dogs and I have stayed at this property three times. The yard is fenced, which is necessary for my two Labs. The property has reliable power 24/7. The internet connection works. The kitchen has all of the necessary appliances and utensils. It is minutes away from the town center, the surf and the beach. We have enjoyed our stay every time. If you require an internet connection, continuous power and/or a fenced yard for your dogs, this is a great place to stay. The owner is very reasonable and fair.

Face it.... The only reason to visit San Juanico is for the surfing. Everything else is just fluff...There are secret fishing spots and 5 points to surf. On a good day you can connect some or all of them. I've only seen it done 4 times in 5 years. Also... I am 100% solar, you are not subjected to the 5 hour daily and 5 hour evening systematic town power outages. (no one can pay there bills here so the town cuts off the power every day!) You will always have power. No other rental has this.

Notes:
What can I say....It's all about the surfing. This is probably the only rental property that is 100% solar, not dependent on town power. Why is this important? The town power is systematically turned off from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then 11 pm to 4 am EVERY day. You will always have power!!! Unless there is a hurricane that covers the sky with clouds for more than 3 or 4 days. Use generator then.
