It is only a mile to GRAND CASE which is the French gourmet capital of the Caribbean. Simply market - 1mi, Club Orient – 2mi. Car is recommended.
This is a place in PARADISE. Orient Beach (2 miles) is the best in the world! Turquoise water, 85-degree all year around! So much stuff you can do here. It is so relaxing and beautiful, especially on the Clothing Optional side by Club Orient that is busy all year around. Water is always calm there and sand like a sugar. Beach security guards are on duty. To get there, you can walk (15 min) or drive (5 min, free parking by Pedro's restaurant or $5 parking at Club O). Enjoy early morning run or walk along all Orient Beach.
We are very busy family from Minnesota. We fell in love with our studio when we saw it first time. Buying it was a thrilling journey and we had been very close to give up. But our love and optimism helped us to stay a course and overcome all hurdles. We love Orient Beach. It is a Paradise, so beautiful and it is like Haven for all our family.
Vitaliy purchased this apartment in 2013
This is our home. Everything in our studio is done with charm and personal touch that you won't find anywhere else. You will really feel that.
We bought place in PARADISE. Orient Beach is the best in the world! Turquoise water, 85-degree all year around and no snow! So much stuff you can do here. That’s why so many people keep coming back for years. Water is always calm on Clothing Optional (nude) side by Club Orient and sand like a sugar.
Our routine lives are so contrast to the Paradise. Here in Minnesota, it is very cold and snowy, and our lives are very busy, pressured by work deadlines and family duties.
The happiness and joy comes from simple things. You don’t need much for that, just walk or run early morning along Orient Beach instead of doing that at -30F (-34C) here in Minnesota. We feel blessed. That’s why a week in Paradise is a treasure for us and we want to share it with you, my dear friends.
NEW: A/C, FRIDGE, 2 SOFAS, FURNITURE AND MORE.
PROVIDED FOR FREE: 2 BEACH CHAIRS, UMBRELLA, COOLER, SNORKELING GEARS, WELCOME DRINKS, WIFI, PHONE AND MORE.
LOWEST RATES ON OCEANFRONT SIDE. PRIVATE PATIO WITH EASY ACCESS TO THE BEACH (2 MIN WALK).
We had watched the deterioration of Mont Vernon for many years, but after 5 years of not being in St Martin we are happy that Mont Vernon has been revitalized. Your unit was a breath of fresh air as A. opened the door and our eyes wandered thru the beautifully decorated unit and then all the way outside to the beautiful flowers and the ocean waves crashing in on Palm Beach. All the details of beauty truly make it feel like home.
It is a well appointed unit as it had everything (except a colander which we purchased for you at the Forum in Marigot - I wish I could find one like this in the states.)
I must tell you that A. is a wonderful contact person for you. She not only has the guest at heart, but is also one who has your interest and unit at heart. The unit was clean and orderly. She walked us through and explained things we should know. We felt confident knowing we had a person we could talk to if needed.
I was quite impressed with your Teflon pans. I always travel with my own Teflon skillet, because I am careful to use only utensils that can be used on Teflon; but yours were in good shape. When they start to peel I stay away from Teflon, therefore it's nice that you also have stainless.
The fabric on the couch, chair and curtains is beautiful. I mentioned to A. that they have a plastic rod that is attached to the side of the curtain to be pulled, thereby preventing you from touching the fabric when you pull the curtain.
I also liked the fact that there was a wooden deck that you stepped on and up when going out the sliding glass door
By the way, the bed was very comfortable!!!.
I enjoyed seeing so many families living here, they give a place life.
Thanks again for renting us your unit.
We were fortunate enough to be able to spend February and March 2014 (8 weeks) in St. Martin and we stayed at this apartment for the duration.
Perfectly located at the old Hotel Mont Vernon on the northern end of Orient beach we loved our stay. The pool is very well maintained and during our visit workers were constantly upgrading and maintaining the property. The owners photos and site description are spot on, the property is exactly as advertised. This apartment is a short 2 minute walk through the site to the pool and Orient beach. The onsite pizza shop and small grocery are perfect for dinner if you don’t want to travel.
The cupboard has plenty of dishes, cutlery and pots and pans so you will have no problem cooking if you choose to do so. The bathroom is bright and spacious, the shower is large with plenty of hot water and the in-suite clothes washer worked well. WiFi was great, easily good enough to Skype or watch Netflix. Our car rental was organized by the owner at it was perfect, we were met at the airport and driven to the suite.
During our stay we had a small problem with the in-suite air conditioning and after reporting the problem it was promptly resolved.
Onsite security was always present and visible (particularly at night) so we were never concerned about safety.
The property may not be suitable for persons with mobility problems, some stairways and some walkways are steep and the property cannot be accessed with a wheel chair.
The property is about 1 mile from the main road where you can catch a bus to travel the island if you choose but I should point out that I do echo other visitors comments that a car really is a must for travel on the island. The hills are steep, roads have no shoulders and at times driving seems like a free for all. I would not consider walking or biking on any of the main roads.
We rented for 10 days and had a great time! 2 minute walk to the beach. Very nice pool. Small market and pizza place just up the hill. They sell beer, wine, liquor, snacks, and baguettes. We walked to Orient village each day for activities. The walk got a little long at night but its really not a big deal (worse problems to have in life). Best beach on the island in my opinion. Wifi, cooler, and local cell phone really came in handy when calling cabs or arranging boat trips. Kitchen was clean and had everything you need. AC worked great. The patio is a great place for breakfast and coffee. We would go back for sure.
The unit is very nice; in close proximity to other units but very thoughtfully arranged so that it doesn't feel that way when you're in the unit or on the deck. About a 3 minute walk to the beach. Interior of the unit is new and well-decorated; the clothes washer is a welcome touch. Water pressure was good; we used the beach chairs and umbrella at several beaches on the island. Wifi was good. There was a clear security presence that was friendly and nonintrusive. The bed was comparable to many king size hotel beds; was a little soft for me personally. Orient Beach is only one of many St Martin beaches, each a bit different than the others. This unit was well located for getting to Grand Case in particular but St Martin isn't big and we were no more than 45 min from any place on the island.
The owner and property manager were very responsive to our needs while we stayed here. Would stay again.
This property was advertized as recently upgraded. I think the only two things that were new were the air conditioner and refrigerator. The dish washer did not work, there was no view of the beach as the pictures alluded to,mops, bucket and cleaning supplies on the patio which had bushes grown up so that you could not see beyond. The most disturbing thing was the mold in the shower which was there when we arrived and was never removed after the mandatory cleanings. My wife and I had reserved the place for 5 weeks after looking at the ad in VRBO. It was too late to do anything as this was high season and everything was full. Two things I can say on a positive note are,it was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The interior could have been much neater with holes patched and several trim repairs. I would not recommend this property. I have pictures.
Great location right on Orient Bay Beach, best beach on the island. We rented for 7 nights. The pool was great and well maintained. The kitchen had every thing you needed to prepare your meals, which we ate in almost nights. The washer was a great asset to have and we used it. Plenty of bath and beach towels were provided. We will definitely stay again next time we visit the island.
C & K
Our 9 day stay was most enjoyable. The apartment was accurate to the owners description. It was clean, quiet and we felt safe. The apartment was the perfect size for the 2 of us.
Although the apartment is a great fit for the average person it was difficult for my 76 year old mom to get to. When I saw that it was on the first floor I thought there wouldn't be stairs but that was not the case. Again, for me it was fine but for someone with mobility problems it is a bit challenging. The island is very mountainous and a car is a must. Parking can be tricky at times.
We appreciated the beach chairs that were provided. The walk to the beach and pool (steep) was too difficult for my mom but we found a beach nearby that we went to twice that we really liked- Galion Beach (10 min drive). We could park and take 50 flat steps to shade and a beautiful view.
The bed was very comfortable, AC worked well and we loved having breakfast every morning on the patio.
I would recommend this for anyone who does not have mobility issues.
