Our lakefront home is located on Faubush Creek on Lake Cumberland just across the lake from Conley Bottom Marina and is in the Clearwater Subdivision. It features approx. 2000 square feet plus both covered and open air decking.
Our home features four bedrooms (five queen-size beds and two twins (bunkbeds) and two bathrooms (one with bathtub/shower and one with shower).
The two-story house features a gas fireplace with stone surround and a fantastic view of the lake.
Relax on the front covered porch featuring a two seater bench and swing or, opt for the rear deck overlooking the lake with outdoor lighting and speakers.
The master bedroom is located on the main level and has sliding doors leading on to the rear deck. Upstairs has two further bedrooms in an open concept plan although one of the bedrooms is a bit more private – this more private room has a queen size bed and closet. The other bedroom upstairs contains two queen size beds, full bathroom, closet and another deck. Walk out the front door and around the house and you'll find another bedroom with a queen size bed, bunk beds (large enough for adults) with a couch and TV/DVD player. Our family uses this as the Kid's Cave but we've had visitors who've used it for a family of 4 with the adults in the queen size bed and the two children in the bunk beds. This room has the best views of the lake!
There is a large collection of games and cards for evening entertainment.
Our home is within walking distance of the boat ramp (but there's also parking available at the boat ramp) and has a large driveway available for boat/jet ski and multiple car parking. It is very easy to park your boat in our driveway and move it back and forth to the boat ramp or give us a call to see if a boat slip is available.
Rent a boat from the marina across the lake (Conley Bottom) and they will pick you up at the boat ramp which is within walking distance to the cabin!
Hello! My name is Toni Dillon and I'm originally from Louisville, KY. My family and I spent nearly every summer at Lake Cumberland with friends - it's where I learned to water ski at the age of 8 and where I knew I wanted to have a family vacation home and eventually retire to one day. I'm living in England now but we come back to Lake Cumberland every summer for 3 weeks to spend time with family - the cabin is where my husband and I were married 3 years ago - on the back deck overlooking the lake! We're making memories for our children there just like my parents did for my siblings and I. I'm happy to open up our home so that your family can create lasting memories here as well! I hope you enjoy your stay and I look forward to hearing from you!
Toni Dillon purchased this cabin in 2008
When I decided to purchase a home on Lake Cumberland I had a picture in my head of exactly what I was looking for and I assumed it would take some time to find just the right place. I went to a website that specialized in lakes and when I typed in 'Lake Cumberland' this house was literally the first one listed. I knew immediately this was the place for me.
It is completely surrounded by trees and has the most gorgeous year round views of the lake. I'm a big fan of gravel roads and driveways and it may sound strange but as soon as your car comes off of the paved road and onto the gravel road that leads to the cabin it just immediately puts you into a different frame of mind and you know it's time to relax and enjoy yourself.
I stayed at the cabin with a group of adult friends. We had a really nice time. The cabin was clean and cozy. We even met some neighbors from the area who gave us ideas of places we should visit while we were vacationing. We really enjoyed just hanging out on the patio swing and just relaxing. Neighborhood was very quiet.
Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin! It was as lovely as the pictures, and the lake view was even better than the pictures! (we came before the leaves were out, so we could see the lake so well!) The cabin was comfortable and decorated so nicely. There were rain/wind storms a few of the nights we were there, and we lost power one evening. There were plenty of candles in the cabin but the one lighter we found ran out. We had our own flashlights, and it came back on within a few hours, so it didn't hamper our vacation. We weren't sure the cabin had been cleaned when we first got there because there was an empty pop can (with cigarette) sitting on the kitchen counter. But the rooms were clean, and it was obvious it had been mistakenly left by someone. We loved this location distance from Daniel Boone national forest, Civil War battlefields, lovely KY countryside, and within day trips from Mammoth Cave and Nashville. We will recommend this cabin to our MI family, and hope to come back again someday! We didn't have any issues with getting our deposit returned to us. The owners were great to work with. Thank you so much!
This was a great cabin! The view was fabulous! Warm, cozy and plenty of room. i wanted to stay for several weeks just to watch all of the DVDs available! Quite the library! The kitchen was great! Every pot, pan, utensil, etc anyone would need. Nice comfortable beds and very clean. The extra room downstairs would be better if it was accessible from inside the house and had a bathroom. But we put our young teens down there and it worked out great! They loved having their own space, own TV, etc. We will definitely look into future dates for this cabin. It would wonderful in the fall! Wish we could have enjoyed the deck this time!
The "Bird's House" was perfect for six lifelong friends to get away and catch up. Only downside was that I wish I had noticed the notation about the 4th bedroom not accessible from inside the house. But it was fine - really. Certainly not a deal breaker (although a 3rd bathroom for that bedroom would be ideal). One gal referenced kiddie cave as her 'apartment'. We all spent so much time on the patio, around the extra big dining room table or the fire pit. Everything was awesome and I would recommend it to anyone. Conveniently located just 90 minutes from Lexington (give or take). We collected some great pieces of driftwood from the lake shores to take home. I personally loved the bench swings. They are wonderfully calming.
This is a Beautiful Lake House in a secluded spot. Me and my family of 11 and two dogs had plenty of room. The views of the lake are amazing just wish the autumn colors were in full bloom never the less it still was wonderful. The bedroom which they call the kids cave is where I slept..lol waking up in the morning with that view was priceless. I also enjoyed the fire pit it made feel like home where I use to live. I will return to this lake house for much needed time out of the city...Thanks for sharing your peaceful place and God speed!!!!!
A group of 9 special ladies, who get together every month for 20 years now, plan a weekend trip every August to a lake unless we do a week trip to the beach. This year we rented this great cabin which was very private, decorated so cozy and comfortable, clean, full of amenities and has a great view of the lake. We rented a boat from Conley Bottom Marina, and they were very accommodating. We all loved it and will definitely be back again! Highly recommend!

This area of Lake Cumberland is visited frequently by boaters and fisherman in the summer months, but I would also highly recommend it in the fall. The crowds thin out when the temperatures cool off, the lake is quiet and tranquil and it’s a time of year when the leaves turn brilliant shades of crimson, orange and yellow. The fall colors here are brilliant and the clear nights put on a star show like no other!
